I like Kan's method of searching for the rail, of keep aiming at the same place you missed last time and hope the rail moved. Sitting here yelling "Further to the right!!".
watching kan repeated drive just left of the short cut in the exact same spot for half the video was legitimately one of the the most frustrating things i've done all week. really cool track and i did like the secret short cut
For what it's worth, kAN, I very much appreciate you adding the shortcut run at the end. I always am disappointed when I see the tracks have a shortcut/series of shortcuts mentioned by the builder but then the person running the track in the video doesn't hit them all to show a clean full shortcut run. So thank you for taking the time to add that. 🙂
@NeonNijahn honestly, no one in particular. There have been a few times Dapper hasn't shown a full run but then other times he has. There are a few others that I cannot recall specific content creators on but I know that they have had it happen at least occasionally. Heck, I'm sure kAN may have had some times not showing a full run (though honestly, he is about the only one I cannot recall a specific instance of but that could be more saying something about my memory than him always doing it lol). That is why I didn't call any names, because a lot of folks at least occasionally do it. And I get it, if a video is long already and they feel they mostly got all the cuts and stuff, sure. I just like a clean run with all of them to see kind of an optimal path and what it could be, even if it isn't the best possible run of that path (ie if they could cut a little tighter and shave a tenth of a second here or there whatever ....).
Kan going insane. The definition of insanity being trying the exact same thing over and over again expecting different results. The sheer consistancy in undershooting the shortcut was commendable, however.
The real definition of insanity should be believing that that is true, 20 years of save scumming in pokemon has shown me that doing the same thing over and over again without changing a thing can give different results
@@Ashadar_Resouley you weren't doing the same thing though, minor differences make so something different happen, if you look at TAS that are basically precise recording of inputs, they are consistent in most games.
@@satibel what part of "the same thing over and over again without changing a thing" do you not understand to think i wasn't doing the same thing every time? the only minor differrences was the rng which had nothing to do with anything i was doing since i was just using the same moves in the same order everytime until the rng was in may favor
If only KAN would have finished the map with the shortcut during the multiplayer session.... he would have beaten everyone by at least 5 seconds. He kept jumping off nearly the same way everytime, instead of jumping a lil bit more to the right.
you should make a like 1 and a half or 2 minute track that's contained in a tiny area, and instead of checkpoints there's logic blocks to "load" the next area and turn off the previous one
@@Bama_Boy Probably that kAN showed an editor view? They don't always do that, but with these new logic features it's pretty hard to see what's going on otherwise.
Keeping low until the last moment possible is probably the fastest way to fly this map - otherwise you bleed off speed early, you only want to convert that speed back to height at the end.
I wonder how long it actually took to hit that shortcut. Also that’s a pretty big cut, so if Kan managed to not mess up the easier part he could’ve smashed first place
Man you were just zooming in the final shortcut showoff. Super rad idea, excited what other insanity you're gonna force the boys through. I would love to see something like the game of mouse trap where certain spots on the track trigger different shortcuts or traps, make it so some are a single trigger and others being unique combinations. I think that would be super fun and allow for some cheese opportunities. Also it would maybe give Yannic some ideas. I truly hope he contracts you to make some cool logic stuff for the adventure mode. That would be also super neat.
There are people in Film and Radio that do special sound effects. They are called Foley artists. It might have been one of them thatsuggested the hot water bottle.
kAN has a special skill to make a hard trick seem easier than it is by failing it the same way every single time and not even trying to adjust. Another skill of his is self-mind-gaming.
I'm repeating an old idea, but with the logic gates, you have a chance to update and improve one of your old maps. You have a open world (city, desert, forest, etc.) with multiple patch and roads and no specific route. You need to find all the checkpoint in the city. Omni-boosters everywhere to help you keep you speed. But with the logic, only one checkpoint exists at the start. When you pass through the checkpoint, you also pass through 2 logic gates that make the next checkpoint appear and the previous one disappears. So not only do you need to find all the checkpoints, but you might need to cross the city multiple times.
You need to make a track where there is a section you drive over, then the same exact section, but it’s made out of invisible blocks so that they have to memorize it.
Has anyone made an offset track? By which I mean you drive on an invisible track the whole way, but below that is a visible (but intangible) track that mirrors the actual track. The camera angle will made it so you can only see the track ahead, not the part you're currently on.
I would suggest that diving down to gain speed, then crash climbing for the checkpoints, would result in much faster times IF you can pull off the precision and balance the distance lost over the speed gained.
I just started building an appearing track like this yesterday, but I was coupling it with a 70s vaporwave theme and buildings that appear on the sides along with the road segments to give more hints as to where there is and isn't road.
IT would have been cool to have the glider checkpoints be above the driving track. Or maybe on the pillars. So people in their cars would see gliders flying over them, and people in the gliders could see the cars right under them.
You should do a paraglider course where you're basically simulating 'bullets' coming at the people flying using logic. Where after they reach certain a certain distance a tone of blocks chain spawn to get in the way. Another option is have balls dropping form the celling that routinely move the colidable blocks, and at certain check points stuff it spawned that alter the pattern's timing and sometime position.
Idea for your next SMMM. a spleef where it's like the game 'Battleship' where your HUD is off (obviously) with a grid with explosives underneath and you have to guess what grid coordinate they're in and if you guess wrong they can move
I love how Kan only in the end realized that he could've just used the last track piece before the shortcut to remember where to line himself up in a way that will be consistent. He was always going too far to the left before 😅
Same concept but next time make it open world/no tracks and there’s tons of blocks, some with checkpoints in them and some without them. Everytime you go through a checkpoint, a logic block removes a block covering the checkpoint and you have to quickly redirect where you go. Not all blocks have checkpoints in them or it would be too predictable.
Hey kAN, you might have won if you got the shortcut during the race. Also schmxrg, must have had the perfect lines. Now another track with flying in the middle but with the self spawning track concept.
Dawm, what about a Logic map but the checkpoints have like 2 or 3 Logic triggers (L/R/Centre) that each give you a diff path to the next CP with each a slightly varying length and possibly as a catch that some Paths can Block or Aid other paths if you Trigger spesific sequences like a previous Wall ride can intersect with an otherwise big U-turn granting a new shorter path or a Blockade
how about using invisible block for the main track but has you drive it it builds a physical track off to the side. similar to the track in the video but with the block offset. Also a track maze with changing walls triggered by either the player or random thing (trains loops)
I suppose it's four months too late, but is there any reason you're hitting the paraglider block straight? I've not played Zeepkist, but my experience with other racing games makes me expect that turning early and passing through the transition mid-turn would leave you better positiion for the flying section.
