- Given that Halo: The Machine Breaks reveals this particular Promethean Knight is actually Halo 4's Dr. Sandra Tillson, it is obvious a clip featuring her was obvious, doesn't it?
Gf for those wondering, 343 published an audiobook Called the machine breaks where this promethean knight starts hallucinating itself in human form as a little girl and no one else seems to see it. Eventually while protecting a storm covenant zealot, the zealot starts fighting a spartan and is about to kill it when the girl appears again. The knight TDS009, malfunctions and start fighting the zealot and dies.then some others stuff explains that this has been happening a lot, and at the very end, it is revealed that TDS 009 is an archaeologist on a station and her name is Cassandra. Dr Cassandra tilson TDS 009 edit: The knight is bashing its head against the wall since it keeps seeing Dr tilson as a young girl and just wants it to stop. It is also trying to scream for help to osiris team but it can't and is internally wanting to end itself
This gives a similar vibe to Jenkins' fate bruh...
So sad😢
Its got a sword and a scattershot, it should just end itself
I actually read it and it was sad to see that's where she ended up
@@mobbarley1102they don’t actually die when defeated. They turn back into I guess pure data that will eventually get a new body and repeat the process.
Damn, all this time I figured it was just a random knight, knowing it's Tilson though is truly horrifying.
I sometimes forget that all those knights we kill were at one point actually regular people (or ancient humans).
In a way being turned into a knight is no different from how the flood acquires combat forms, only it's less grotesque.
Oh if only the Didact knew the cruel irony of his knights program.
i think he did. that's the whole point.
@@redraptorx1066 Guess he thought fighting fire with fire would win the war. Sadly all it did was make him a worse reflection of the Flood itself.
ancient humans were the forerunners, none of this transformers x power rangers garbage fanfic is canon
@@thetower8553 No they weren't not even under Bungie. By the time of Halo 3 Bungie had chosen to have Forerunners and Humans be separate species. I wish fans would stop spreading the false idea that 343i is the reason they are separate species when it was never them that did it in the first place.
@@Burning-Twilight "you are a child of my makers, inheritor of all that they left behind, YOU ARE FORERUNER"
Doesnt sound like it and even if they were separate, why would humans be called Reclaimers by the monitors anyway if they werent the same?
The stuff the Foreruners left behind aint theirs to "reclaim" or "inherit"
Captain Keyes: first time?
Despite opinions of Halo 4, 343 and the recent state of Halo......whoever played Dr. Tilson, the writing and just that scene in general is one of the most well crafted and executed scenes in the entire game.
"Next time you come to save us......can you give us more time to pack?"
New game is happening and cooking, LinkedIns and podcasts proved so
That was some of the best voice acting in any halo game
That's horrifying
to actually know that it isnt just mad and its going insane is completely horrifying
@@christopherhawkins6985 it's just like flood infected host, they are prisoners in their own bodies and can do nothing but watch as their body is used to kill everyone.
Well. That’s legitimately f**k up
:(
Which is worse? The Flood infection or Being Composed?
you can still get a good ending after being Composed, but you're screwed forever if you get infected.
The Flood is worse. If you're composed, your essence can either be released into the Domain (a cosmic information network which, among other things, is kind of the "afterlife" of the Halo universe) right away, or become a Promethean. Even then, Prometheans can still go to the Domain. There's no coming back from being infected by the Flood, though. Your free will, your memories, your emotions, are all gone, forever. And since your consciousness becomes part of the Gravemind, not even death can save you.
@lordofthegeckos533 something about halo I've always loved is how a lot of the story, (especially regarding Forerunner history), is a sci fi retelling of the bible. This is another such case, where the Domain which is heaven in the Halo universe, is made by the precursors, the gods.
Then you have the primordial/gravemind who is the fallen angel/God in biblical literature who then becomes the devil. The Ancient Humans did call the Primordial "the Beast" after all. That then means that the flood consciousness and being assimilated by it is the opposite of the Domain, that being the Hell of the Halo universe where you're soul is now subjugated to an eternity of torment and suffering.
@@michaelphillips2329 Yeah it's always neat how games like Halo are able to implement aspects from different religions into a unique storytelling.
Un muy buen aporte a Halo 5.
Do Promethean knoghts have well individualism or are they no longer able to think like a individual
Their individuality is practically stripped away from them.
Its like pushed to the very very very very back of their mind so more of the latter
Can someone explain how that happened?

@@dodopro4433 i appreciate it
@@bruhnaw1456 no problem
See it be cool if this didn’t take 10 years to come up with but, what ya expect from 343 at this point
I mean, it's not like it's a major story addition. It's just an extra, but ultimately meaningless, addition to a minor character.
How do we know it’s him exactly ?
It's her, 343 Publish a new Waypoint about it, it's a pretty interesting history
Basically the Knight looks crazy 'cause it has hallucinations about his child human form and his old memories have a deal with his new directives
hmm i never bothered to stop and put attention to details in this game, its so enragingly bad that i just wanted to finish it as soon as possible just to be able to say ive played all Halo games.
Isnt it also too much of a coincidence that of the thousands of knights there are the pink lightbulb just happened to capture Dr Tillson?
343 just randomly came out almost a decade after this game was released to say that this was Dr Tilson. Just more shit writing by 343.
@@travisbryan663Funny you say this, I remember Bungie releasing an entire dogshit game that completely retconned the very first lore of the entire series. But that wasn't shit writing, right?
@@TheChocoboRacer lmao and what game was that smartass?
@@TheChocoboRacer No, actually. Reconning does not _automatically_ qualify something as bad writing.
For example, the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Those movies are not bad _because_ they didn't follow the story previously established in books.
They're bad because they're poorly written.
Personally, I'd have to agree with you in that The Fall of Reach is written well, but if you let that ruin Halo Reach for you because TFoR is strictly what you wanted to see, that's honestly a shame.
@@ThatTallBrendan no, it's more so that Bungie lied about having an unchanging lore bible. But I honestly blame Martin O' Donnell from getting too involved with the overall plot aspect of the series instead of sticking with the music
That's actually fucking horrifying. Holy shit...
how do you know thats her, specifically?
I was thinking that too, I was waiting for an audio queue, but that just seems like a knight that’s pissed off that he’s locked up.
New short story 343 published
Most recent waypoint article has a story about that
@@literallyagalilacegenii7.690 I’ll have to take a look!
@@literallyagalilacegenii7.690 Is there a link?
Oh I'm sure this lore reveal would be great! *If 343 knew how to actually tell a damn story at all...*
What did they do to you dr tilson.
que terrible 😞
where was it confirmed it was Tillson?
