I appreciate the little detail of the pelican behind Echo 419 being labeled B-022, for Bravo 22; the pelican that gets shot down mid mission after the security station is deactivated. They're the ones who come on comms saying, "Mayday, mayday, this Bravo 22 taking enemy fire! I repeat, we are taking enemy fire and are losing altitude."
I'm just happy the wing hardpoints are being used lol, we've had them on pelicans since halo reach and we never saw fuel or ordnance outfitted, Halo 2 Anniversary has the rocket pods mounted basically on the model which is cool.
@@Spendingryan If I recall from the novels, after crash landing on Halo they had very low supplies and ammo for the Pelicans, forcing them to be glorified busses rather than the gunships they were supposed to be. And if you don't have the ammo for the pods, there's no point loading them onto the pelican so you can save weight and fuel.

I have whole scenes thought out in my head and some written down, and minor changes to make things more coherent for the switch from games to film... THIS is absolutely the kind of thing I have in mind! So many of the existing cutscenes can be drawn out, adding new elements like the engagement with the Spirit that you had, to make some incredible movie scenes!
I am so glad someone put this back up! I don't know who the original creator is but man I wish they would have done all of halo ce! This gave me freaking goosebumps! Felt like the first time I played halo all over again. Freaking awesome!
I'm blown away by this, best scene was 2:00 where it looks like the cockpit windows have taken plasma damage from an earlier fight This is straight up incredible
Thanks for saving Baconmedia's video! I have no idea what happened to the man since his channel and content suddenly disappeared, but I hope he's doing well.
Literal Chills. I think we just need a full length movie comprised of the Halo CE campaign in this style. Puts the halo TV show to SHAME. (It already is a shame, but still)
It’s incredible, but the cutscene length did go from 0:40 to 3:22. Like bungie’s cutscene directors said, what is keeping people from skipping this cutscene? I love it, but there’s a full 3 minutes of establishing shots until the beach landing. People would skip it for sure
This is exactly the problem. Way too long, repetitive, and directionless. Just meaningless camera shot after meaningless camera shot with zero pacing, but the graphics are shiny so people fall over themselves drooling like children staring at jangling keys. The original establishes the island, the inbound pelicans, and your mission all at once while letting the player take in part of beach terrain to come before dropping them right into the action and it does it less than a minute.
This is my issue with this cutscene remake, as well. The pacing is unwatchable, and takes away from the otherwise good work on modeling and camera work. And the rockets bounce off the Covenant ship's shields. Destruction does takes more time and effort, but this weakens the introduction.
This cut really captures the essence of the level, the uncertainty of the mission (from a storytelling perspective) and stays true to the original game. For bonus points, it’s also better than the Halo TV show by several orders of magnitude. Nice work!!
Not unless it's been rewritten. Foehammer uses a coaxial chin gun to shred an elite on an outlying spit prior, but that exhausts the last of the ammunition. It's part of the reason why the book has this big side bit of looting the Autumn to scavenge supplies.
You have done better than the entire infinite animation team has in the space of a few years! hats off to you! I really hope the Halo CE remake looks like this!
Incredible work what a combination of technical prowess and artistry, five stars would pay more than a hbo subscription for this to be extended to the entire campaign
Subscribed immediately because they should be hiring you for the unreal engine remakes. This was fantastic! Loved every change to the OG - somehow still faithful. Taking more time with the moment. SO EPIC 🔥
Incredible work!! If I had to give some critique, it does feel a bit too slow and dramatic in a couple parts and the human skin textures feel a bit plasticky, but other than that, this really does feel incredible and the fidelity of the effects, animation, and environment is deffinately up there with what blur produced for H2 remaster.
I like it a lot, but I think it’s has bad pacing issues. There’s also a lot of shots that are just to show off the assets. There’s a lot of cuts and shots that make it confusing as to what is actually happening. The beach drop is not hard hitting at all, it should be a lot faster. Stuff I do like? The aesthetic, the shot where 1 pelican turns to 3 (very badass), an added pelican/spirit interaction (although, it should be reworked to be done by a longsword. It makes more sense from a military role perspective)
It gives me back faith that halo can be interesting if it is in the right hands. If something is created by a person who understands how it should function and feel

At this point the halo community is going to have to band together to make this halo tv show/movie we have all been wanting. With the vast lore, books and video games the fact that we still haven't gotten a proper adaptation is mind boggling
The flipped perspective is my favorite part. The view from the alien-controlled island across a vast sea, and a bright metal glint over the horizon that can only be humans and their titanium birds. The spirit dropships seem so delicate and alien compared to phantoms, and I love how the pelican feels like a flying tank by comparison.
This reupload still did not get the high-intensity back-and-forth fire from the Covenant on the ground and the Marines sitting in the rear of the second Pelican like I wanted to see.
