Stompulator44 nothing comes close on here to this version. should have many many more views.. i account for at least 500 of them ... looks like a great show when they were all happy looking to find there way ... good stuff
Same, such a shame that music like this doesn’t exist like it used to. So many beautiful souls lost to drugs, may their music/soul live never be forgotten
He robbed himself of his voice and passion!! I Loved Scott and the STP Men as much as anyone, but it was and remain a choice HE MADE!! yeah people around him could've helped more but still.it was his freewill,he did it,not them!! Love STP into the next century!!
It’s not as simple as saying, oh! He decided to do it one day and he fucked himself. So many other factors like loneliness, depression, and bad influences matter. Yes he made the choice. But anyways let’s focus on the greatness he left behind. Love you STP
The force was so strong in Scott on his good days. It’s just unreal how amazing he was. Didn’t hurt having 3 of the best and most underrated musicians ever behind him
My opinion, (and this is not my actual favorite stp song), but this is by far ... "in my opinion"... the best and most impactful Pop rock song of the 90s and truly just a classic, Rocknroll song. Some of the best lyrics ever written in Rock music.
I was a sophomore in college when I heard Scott’s incredibly soulful voice totally outshining background instrumentals. I absolutely fell for his voice which will forever be silenced. That’s sad. Addiction is real and needs to be understood as a major illness. Everywhere.
I was a 9 year old kid when I first heard an STP song. It was for the crow movie and the chorus was stuck in my head. STP became my favorite band a few years later then I got to see them in 2002. Best band ever.
I’m so grateful I saw him during this time period. His voice…the sound..they were fucking awesome!! I love reminiscing…but man..I can’t keep myself from shedding some tears. RIP Scott Weiland. YOU LIVE ON FOREVER❤
It’s so insane to see such amazing talents always succumbing to drugs or alcohol. I mean I couldn’t imagine that fame and talent and lifestyle but god damn it’s hard to not wonder the ‘what if’s’ about musicians who if they didn’t so drugs and pass away what they’d accomplish.
He was taking drugs when he wrote this song. I believe the album cover of Purple is the packaging of some heroin he bought? But the drugs hadn't taken their toll yet I guess.
Thank you - never get tired of this great song. interesting to compare this to the acoustic version from 2000 at the House of Blues (go to my channel's playlist for the entire concert in order).
I love this live version. They slowed this song down so much (and a lot of their songs) live later in their touring careers. I prefer the recorded tempo, which this version nails.
Waiting on a Sunday afternoon For what I read between the lines Your lies Feelin' like a hand in rusted shame So do you laugh at those who cry? Reply? Leavin' on a southern train Only yesterday you lied, Promises of what I seemed to be Only watched the time go by All of these things you said to me Breathing is the hardest thing to do With all I've said and all that's dead for you You lied Good bye Leavin' on a southern train Only yesterday you lied Promises of what I seemed to be Only watched the time go by All of these things I said to you
Hola soy de argentina,,,y este ser es un elegido.no muere todo aquel que deja un legado.fue como que las drogas quizás no van de la mano de un brillante , más allá de el gusto de cada humano.🌎
Even after more than 30 years this song still sounds great. The 90s backwards is just the best era of music. The kind that suits my soul.
By far the best live version of 'interstate love song' on youtube. Scott's voice sounds incredible here.
Stompulator44 nothing comes close on here to this version. should have many many more views.. i account for at least 500 of them ... looks like a great show when they were all happy looking to find there way ... good stuff
Agreed. Unfortunately the video is kind of derp. Too much out of focus and too much smoke. But they do sound great.
Voice is perfect!
Where is the video from?
Yes!!!!
30 years later and it still sounds fantastic !!
One of the most amazing voices I've ever heard.
This is a phenomenal band. Bass carries it like a freight train. It just goes.
Indeed bruh
Fact
Should’ve said a southern train
Very strong John Paul Jones influence /type line here. Both great players.
That intro was heavenly. Sounded like he is gonna come back one day singing making that same sound
🥺😓😓😥 r.i.p Scott Weiland.
Scott's voice is perfect with this performance
Scott Weiland, wherever you are brother thanks for the great music, awesome performance and all the 90s amazing memories.
this song hits me hard man....idk why...so good
Same lol
Same...
His vocals and his stage presence is amazing. And the band sounded amazing. I need to steal his moves while I'm singing and dancing in the shower lol
I love this comment
Closest live version to their recording album... Love it so much...
This band was then jewel of the 90's.
This is the 5th version of this song I’ve watched in a row. Once I pop the 90’s grunge I cants stop!!
Same here bro and this is what I was looking for when I first started searching for a live version of the song
Urge Overkill opening for Nirvana in the 90s was awesome also
Same, such a shame that music like this doesn’t exist like it used to. So many beautiful souls lost to drugs, may their music/soul live never be forgotten
That intro tho 😱
This intro always gets me. Think its because Scott hums
I just replay the intro over and over lol
What an awesome performance. This is my favorite STP song and also one of my favorite songs of all time.
Agreed 2k18
STP, and Scott were the sound track of my life, in the early-mid 90s. So many memories.
Yeah, Scott was young here and he still sounded great. Heroin robbed him of his voice and passion.
He robbed himself of his voice and passion!! I Loved Scott and the STP Men as much as anyone, but it was and remain a choice HE MADE!! yeah people around him could've helped more but still.it was his freewill,he did it,not them!! Love STP into the next century!!
This song is about that addiction ironically.
As a 20 year Firefighter/EMT, heroin robs you of EVERYTHING. It’s sad, plain & simple.
It’s not as simple as saying, oh! He decided to do it one day and he fucked himself. So many other factors like loneliness, depression, and bad influences matter. Yes he made the choice. But anyways let’s focus on the greatness he left behind. Love you STP
Prison took his voice & gave him James Brown dance moves.
This will be forever be my favourite version of this song because of the way Scott sings throughout the intro
The force was so strong in Scott on his good days. It’s just unreal how amazing he was. Didn’t hurt having 3 of the best and most underrated musicians ever behind him
I love the humming intro
they need th release this whole show on dvd...silvergun, army ants, and this are just teasers

Oasis was pretty important
I can't think of two songs that got more airplay than this and Vasoline, maybe Sour Girl and Sex type thing?
Objective - not subjective - statement.
It's a classic. Probably the last great rock song, and Weiland, the last great 'rockstar'.
For sure
Scott at his best. Sick version
He was perfection here. 😢
Come on man, that's a masterpiece.
One of the best rock songs of all time. The percussion hits the soul heavy in this one. Weiland in top form. Beautiful art.
So lucky that we got to see these guys multiple times.
Yes!!❤️👍🏻

God I loved the 90s
30 years later it still sounds great.
All time favorite! Love STP!
I always cry now when I hear this. Love this band. RIP Scott.
That bass dude
Best live version.
I’m so grateful I saw him during this time period.
His voice…the sound..they were fucking awesome!!
I love reminiscing…but man..I can’t keep myself from shedding some tears.
RIP Scott Weiland.
YOU LIVE ON FOREVER❤
The energy boys and girls....just outstanding....
A master can always change it up.....
His voice makes me melt
Back when music was fucking LENGENDARY!
Sounds almost exactly like the studio version. Scott Weiland’s voice is phenomenal.!
great tone on the bass and the snare drum
LA canción de los 90s
😏
This is rock and roll.
Scott !!!! 💔💔💔
Just to think... I was 15 and a kid in plaid...now I rock out to this mowing my lawn. LOL! Love you, Scott! RIP to the best.
Love this! Me too! ❤️👍🏻😊
Perfect like the original studio version ❤🎶

One of the best of that decade
No podes cantar así tan bien. Que crack
1994 Stp New Haven Connecticut
Their BEST song ever! Gone too soon. :(
Amazing performance 😁👌😁
wow, this is a perfect performance
Best live version! STP rocked!
Best perfomance
Best version live 👍🏾👍🏾
True. I'm so old I remember this on Napster
scott 's voice in the intro
The tune that got me into STP
Este concierto es legendario, uno de los mejores.....
@ 2:38 Sometimes it's the little things, brief phrases that can enhance a live version of a song. Love that bit of improv there from Dean!!
He was perfect 😭💔💔
He was taking drugs when he wrote this song. I believe the album cover of Purple is the packaging of some heroin he bought? But the drugs hadn't taken their toll yet I guess.
Yeah he was, he was indeed "fucked up".
95 got him really good.
I think he was there way before that.
Great Vid, Thank-You!!
Wonderful 🥰
Still so incredible.
Simply amazing
The greatest song of the 90’s
incredible voice!
best live performance
Love this song.
THE DVD from this concert, why nottttt
F'n awesome, awesome post
Beautiful.
This and “Iris” are the best
Shit this must've been circa the time I first heard this track. I was just a kid
Nissan used part of this song for their TV Ads. I bought my 2004 Nissan truck because of this lol.
1:24 awesome!! xD
😭😭😭😭 como se lo extraña a scott
Great audio. Great video. Great work.
Amazing how much he changed from this look/sound
gonna play this on my guitar someday
Thank you - never get tired of this great song. interesting to compare this to the acoustic version from 2000 at the House of Blues (go to my channel's playlist for the entire concert in order).
The tempo on this is perfect, saw some videos later on when it was slowed down and kinda lost the "driving" feel of it.
Riposa in pace, Scott...
Brutal performance.
Yesssssssssssssssss yessss yessssss!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are the Tightest Band in Rock and Roll! They are Brothers In real life and on Stage !! RIP SCOTT
que sonzão foda... fico velho e não me enjoo, nunca!

I love this live version. They slowed this song down so much (and a lot of their songs) live later in their touring careers. I prefer the recorded tempo, which this version nails.
I miss Rockband of PS3 because it gave me a chance to sing this to the locals.
Waiting on a Sunday afternoon
For what I read between the lines
Your lies
Feelin' like a hand in rusted shame
So do you laugh at those who cry?
Reply?
Leavin' on a southern train
Only yesterday you lied,
Promises of what I seemed to be
Only watched the time go by
All of these things you said to me
Breathing is the hardest thing to do
With all I've said and all that's dead for you
You lied
Good bye
Leavin' on a southern train
Only yesterday you lied
Promises of what I seemed to be
Only watched the time go by
All of these things I said to you
like a hand in rusted chain
Imprisonment, lockdown brought me here. 😷🤘🏻🍺🇺🇸
