Must resist the urge to make a Stillsuit, go in the dunes near Oostende, yell "Lisan al-Gaib !", and get arrested by the Police because old people will freak out and think i'm about to blow myself up or something 🤣🤣
I just finished mine :) Going to the Kinepolis marathon with the finished suit yesterday was great, got a ton of compliments. I used another video tutorial, but I'd be more than happy to have a companion in a stillsuit for a photoshoot in the Oostendse dunes to shout Lisan al-Gaib!
@@irinasouvandjiev Ah that's so cool !! I went to the Marathon on the 27th, a lot of people hade Dune tee shirts, but no one came in a stillsuit :D I'm too bad at sewing and all that stuff, making a stillsuit would be so so hard for me 😅
@@Tomcat_CentauriI was also the only one in a stillsuit, so I definitely stood out 😅Would still like to make a crisknife out of foam as well (still have some left over) to complete the look. Well, this isn't as much sewing as it is glueing stuff onto other stuff. I used the tutorial by Alyson Tabbitha, by the way. If you ever want to try it, for an upcoming Facts or other comic con, free free to contact me. I can help you with the sewing bits, give some general advice and share resources (no need for you to buy a heat gun or glue gun when I already have. This was also my first time making a costume like this, and while it was definitely scary (and rather expensive), I gained a lot of confidence and I enjoyed myself immensely during the whole process.
@@irinasouvandjiev That's super nice of you ! I know i won't be able to dodge having to learn how to sew forever, even for basic jumpsuits and such. I know a stillsuit is as much EVA foam work than making the undersuit, i'd also like to make a custom Mandalorian eventually (a bit inspired by Dune too) and soooo many other stuff 😅 I'm more of a 3D printing kind of gal, making moulds and casting, working with hard materials and sanding and painting is more up my alley 😂 And i'm having some stupidly ambitious Warhammer 40K ideas again 😂
awesome tutorial! wish you were a little closer to home. Do you guys do workshops in techniques? I'm not crafty in sowing and fabric and don't know where to get help.
😁 Love the ending. Building up to a climax and then... Anti

Hi! What kind of paint did you use for the cannula/oxygen tube? I may be overthinking this since it’s plastic lol
