Wow Svetlana looks different somehow..... I think she got some new glasses! ☺️
That must be it. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
That moment that you start waiting for Svetlana to show up only to get the joke at the end /doh
Yeah, the glasses! It must be! How didn't I think of that 🤔
BUT her new voice is WAAAAAYYYYYYY better, i hope she keeps that new voice :D
She got a new haircut bruh 😧😞
That's great and all, but can you paint metal to look like foam? 🤔
Dude
Is that a challenge?
😁
Plot twist
Hold my brush.
"I married you, so you owe me big time." I died. lol
love the way he say that passing the dagger on his neck lol
😂
I've literally had that conversation with my own wife!
cellano, feel bad
I really appreciate you going through the whole process to show what each paint actually ended up looking like
foam into metal? that is some alchemist stuff !
I thought it was going to be like aero-gel but more foam and metal like.
XD
But so easy to do, it won't cost you an arm and a leg.😎
He's the foam metal alchemist
@@bakingsawdust lmao
okay but Benni imitating Svetlana was hilarious
Pssh, what’re you talking about? That’s obviously the real Svetlana.
_scoffs_
He's lucky Svetlana didn't kick his ass
Benni wants to break free
😂😂 I was not expecting that, but he definitely killed that impression 🎉
Everything about this video is perfect. But mostly I so appreciate how you threw a shout out at some other youtubers who do the same stuff as you! I love that instead of competing, like a lot of content creators do, you appreciate that in this creative field everyone can help each other! It’s wonderful!! ❤️
When I said that I would like to see more Benny Cosplay, I did not think it would be as Svetlana.....
I love it when they recommend others as well. It’s not a “I’m the only one you should watch” kind of channel. They all support each other and it’s amazing.
6:11 "Remember there are are many different ways to get a good result"
On that note, I'd like to add that Auto Vinyl wrapping is another method to try this, especially if you're like me and live in an apartment without a proper open space to paint. There are plenty of chrome vinyls out there. Vinyl wrapping has its own challenges than painting, but what's nice about it is that you can typically peel it off and reapply, so it's pretty forgiving. all you need is a heat gun, a squeegee, and a smooth surface. You will need to prime your foam so it can stick better. as for bending/stress test, I've only used it on pieces that don't require bending ,so I can't quite vouch for that. But most blades are typically stiff and for aesthetics anyways, so doing a sword/blade should be fine.
Interesting...does this Auto Vinyl come in Bronze?
@@Lightray110 I dont see why not! If it's a finish you'd find on a car, there should be an auto vinyl wrap available for it :)
@@NikkeiZX Sweet! I intend to make a suit of Mandalorian armor and auto vinyl wrap would be perfect!
📝 *taking notes*
" I love your beard and strong muscles" I'm dead
Hi dead, how you doin'?
First minute and a half I couldn't stop laughing 😂😂🤣🤣
The things Benni would do to get into the spotlight 😆😂
I feel bad for you
That first bit was beautiful 10/10
But in all seriousness, great video, I'll be trying to make my first eva foam armor this September and will be keeping these tips and tricks in mind. Thank you!
I really love when you guys show all the different steps and fails you go through and then you show what was the best option. Thank you so much for all these different takes and experiences! Very helpful!
This gave me an ant man vibe with Luis retelling the story
Omg it wasss EXACTLY like that
Wow same here
all that gymtime has been paying off for svetlana ;)
I hope to see more of Benni!! He is so funny and just as helpful and informative as Svetlana is.
I am 45 seconds in and I already love this. "I married you so you OWE me"
Yes foam with Alclad! I’ve been wanting to see someone like this.
The intro was hilarious and the tutorial was amazing! Goes to show the community and contributions, just by doing your thing, can help make something special happen, like this!
Thumbs up for the SPOT-ON Svetlana impression! I thought she had grown a beard!
The rub n buff result is actually exactly what I'm looking for! 😂
Thank you!
This guy puts a lot of work into his videos and I respect that
I love the professionalism in these videos, you show many types of products and their plus and minuses, I need to look into these! XD
That intro was pure art.
Thank you so much for showing this creative hack! Viewers really appreciate the trial and error process.. you show us what works and also what doesn't! 👍🏼
Great video Benni! =D
You guys are easily one of the best channels.
Nice to see benny is still here, svetlana looks good ;)
Seriously, love you two, learned so much from both of you
I'm glad I discovered you folks. I needed your humour in my life.
I cannot put into words how much I love this!
I struggled with painting silver soooooo much. Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Mega gutes Video!
Ich mag deinen Humor und finde es toll, dass du auch die Versuche zeigst! Sehr informatives Video!
At Yeticon we asked for more Benni. Thanks for listening! This is awesome! Best video yet. :D Great to see both of you have awesome senses of humor!
We always try to deliver •ᴗ•
Alclad metallics have been my go to for several years now! Great vid my friends!
This is the best intro ever! Well done!
i love seeing you in videos! please give him more screen time!
But it's so hard to make videos haha xD
@@KamuiCosplay Maybe but it is worth it :) Also Svetlana bitte den Benny noch öfter ranlassen ;) egal wo
I don't know whether it's by design but I've found that the Alclad for Lexan works particularly well on flexible materials, like foam, as well.
I’m not even into art, cosplay, craft, or any of that. But this was still interesting. Thanks.
Thanks for demonstrating ALL results!
oh my god i had to pause the video because i am laughing so much! never change
That is wicked!! Going to definitely try this out. Once again KamuiCosplay does it again!!
unironically you two are relationship goals god damn you two are wholesome
lso been waiting for this since the FB post
still need these books tho
OMFG I CANT Benni you're great. You two are awesome.
You guys must be the cutest people EVER! I have this feeling of "please be my friend!" every time I see one of your videos. OK, fan-girl mode off. Really helpful video: clear, concise and fun to watch.
Aaah! I love the energy of you guys!! It brings me so much joy to my heart watching your videos^^ you both are so funny and amazing in crafting at the same time! Keep doing your thing it's awesome!
Thanks for doing this. I been looking for this type of comparison for ages
Hi Benni,
Nice to see you for more than a brief moment or two. I almost fell off of my chair when I saw this spoof of your wife, I had no idea Svetlana was so high maintenance (just kidding), but the face she acted out on your clip, well suffice to say, I very near had a coffee coloured monitor. You guys are loads of fun.
What you post was all about, just incredible, and helping out all these other cos players and modelers, is so kind of you both, you really do want to inspire crafters.
I may very well end up buying your wife's books. I can't believe how good and versatile foam is!
Have Fun,
Carlos.
Love your videos, so helpful and your recommendations and shout outs to other cosplayers/youtubers are always so very much appreciated!
Thanks for the video Benni! It was a nice change seeing you in front of the camera!
Great tutorial Benny! I'm just working on a Rebellion sword for a customer, now I know how to paint it properly! Thanks!!!!
That Beskar was taken in the great Purge!
He’s so cute when he smiles!!!
this is the best video I've seen, put me in such a good mood and also is very helpful for my con crunch! thank you!
Who wouldn't want to hang out with Benni? Hilarious! We modelers use Alclad all the time: it comes in many, many subtle metallic hues that would be suitable for all sorts of steel appearances, such as "burnt jet exhaust." But I never imagined it was this flexible----cool!
This was the first tutorial where I enjoyed the opening bit as much as the tutorial itself! Lol
Those flashbacks reminded me of one of Luis's rambles in Ant-Man. Hilarious! I recently discovered Krylon foil metallic spray in silver - it's HIGHLY reflective, will actually blind you in sunlight, works on craft foam with PlastiDip and stays flexible (no cracking that I've seen) and doesn't need to be sealed. I started by trying it out on a plastic sword blade, then on a plastic helmet, then on my armor pieces. It looks much more realistic on the plastic, but is so much more shiny and "metal like" than straight silver spray paint on the craft foam.

Not the real?
But i can't tell the difference....
"Whenever I see some paint recommendations online, I just buy them, so I have a lot of different brands of paint lying around." LOL, I do this with glues! They go into the "glue drawer" and wait to be used.
A glue sniffer would think of it as a finely sorted wine cellar lol
*Not actually a real svetlana
Man, until I saw this message I thought it was her!
0:25 this part was great. Thank you for brightening my day :D
Commenting cause you guys are worth it! Beat the algorithm!
Nice, thanks to you I finally found a paint for my Legacy Red Power Sword!
Benni is the greatest of all time OMG X-D
Dude! Love this video! HILARIOUS!!!
Wow! That is really shiny! It really reads as metal. I wonder how it looks after weathering.
Dude the reenactment was AWESOME
I didn’t believe that was Svetlana until she said, “Buy my books!” 🤔👌🏻
Wow bring more Benny as Svetlana😂😂😂 Great Tutorial
What an odd coincidence! I just picked up some alclad-107 from a local hobby shop a couple of hours ago. I plan on using it on a Halo visor but I'm also making a Brute Shot gun which has a really big blade on it, so this will be perfect! I've never used flex bond though. I'll be ordering some of that.
This is exactly the quality content I'm here for...oh, and the paint testing and tips are great too!
Großartig! Sowas hab ich schon lange gesucht. Danke!
YAAAAS BENNI, SPILL YOUR PAINT SECRETS
OMG Sventlana, Bart steht dir unglaublich gut!!
Yessssss! I have been waiting for this, gonna put it to great use!
Super fun and hugely useful, and the video was that too! Thanks Benni!
Love seeing Benni and even more love the impression ♡!
Absolutely love you guys, you guys crack me up and make my day!
This was incredibly helpful, I will definitely use this in my current build
I don't know if this is applicable to foam, but what you do when chroming (or really any high grade paint job) in the automotive industry, is you apply several layers of both primer and base color, and in between each application you sand the surfaces to a very fine grit, to end up with as smooth of a surface as you can.
I've seen people doing this on rigid props, like 3d-prints, and then followed up with Alclad for a VERY convincing, almost mirror-shine, chrome finish. If you want something a bit more shiny and reflective, I reckon this is the way to do it, no matter what the substrate is, or if it's rigid or flexible.
Thanks for that
I've been trying to paint metal for so long
Just ordered a Gallon of flex bond thanks for your help!
OMG ITS STUNING
I like that you have high standards for you craft👌🏾
these tutorial vids always crack me up XD
I really did need this tutorial. Now we need one on how to make foam look like wood
Svetlana, you have some competition within your channel....Benni is good at tutorial making and being you! He is coming for your title girl!
SO AMAZING
I haven't laughed like that in a while. Thank you Benni! And thank you for the paint tip as well. You rock!!!
Hope to see it more in action during another project build video at some point this year.
Its important to show tests but id love to see some implementation too.
Was für ein lustiges Video! Ich musste so lachen...und ich hab auch echt was gelernt! Ihr seid eine Mega Inspiration und Hilfe, bitte hört niemals auf mit Cosplay!
The beginning of the video almost killed me! More please.
And thanks, I already use alclad II and they are great. Also Vallejo has some interresting metal series and it looks great too.
Best Svetlana imitation ever
*Okay yeah.*
They're perfect for each other. LOL
After seeing this side of Benni it makes sense for him and Sveltlana to have Corgi children.
Oh man! That's the most I've laughed watching your videos! I totally pictured that conversation! 😁😂
That intro alone deserves an Emmy
Starting the coloring portion of custom cosplay, subscribing for tips. Thanks man!
This is awesome - you could also give something a bit of a warn texture before sealing it. Like an old samurai blade or something
I wish we had this cool products here in Brazil. Great video and amazing performance!
Good work Benny!
