I recently returned from the Paris Olympics and had a small Travelon crossbody with locking zippers. Day 2, 3 (20ish) young girls one looking to be about 15 months pregnant🤦🏻♀️. Got on the Metro behind my daughter and myself and told us to give up our seats. I immediately knew what they were up to and told my daughter to keep her hand over her zippers on her bag. As we were getting up I felt hands trying to unlock the zippers. I slapped their hands away and made a small scene and the 3 girls ran off the train. It was inconvenient to always lock them, but it saved us from a vacay nightmare.
I've also used Pacsafe for years ever since my travels to Spain where a couple of people on my tour was pickpocketed. Now i never travel internationally without it. I own 5 backpacks ranging in size from 15L-28L, 1 sling backpack, 2 crossbody passport wallets (different kinds) that work great as a small purse when you don't need to carry much. Love, love, love pacsafe. I even let a coworker and his family borrow 3 for their trip to Spain. At first he thought it was overkill but when he came back he thanked me and said others in his group made purchases when they came back from the trip.
I’m a Travelon Girl. It’s more adorable for me (a once every 2 year international traveler). I have their sling that I’ve used as my everyday carry for over a year now. It’s gray and works well for me! Great review and I can’t wait to see your next trip! Thanks!
Love that you did the video. Ironically, I bought all three of those items 3 months ago for my trip to Europe this month. i also, bought an extra cross body to use the slash prof trap/ and locking to attach to my cell phone. I heard they are after phones. It works perfectly for my phone. I can still take pictures and it’s still attached . So if someone tries to grab it’s not going anywhere. We are headed on a cruise to Spain, France, Italy, Greece, and Croatia . i have watched all your videos. have the July luggage at 3.9 lbs… and practiced picking in the Heys cubes. I one in at 15.2 lbs poked so will meet any weight requirements . Also using the stuff-able neck pillow and Candace containers. Thank you so much for all the tips and tricks. this is my first trip out of the country other than a Mexico, Canada, and Caribbean. Keep making this great content!!!
Great review! I have owned and used pacsafe bags for years. I use them for travel and everyday carry as well. I have the black\gold cx city safe 17 liter and do feel like I'm leaving a few liters on the table when I use it as a personal item. I really love the merlot cx citysafe convertible crossbody. Purse or backpack option, 5 to 8 liters. My favorite is the 1.5 liter tech crossbody. Essentially a wallet on a string, RFID blocking, passport and boarding pass ticket pocket, card slots, and currency slot. Fits my phone, lip balm, a pen, and a granola bar/snack!
I have used Pacsafe for years. I have 3 different back packs and 4 or 5 crossbody bags. Despite the frequent use of several of them, they still look new. I have traveled worry free from theft thanks to Pacsafe and I also took the crossbody bags to work to give me peace of mind.
I like slashproof bags a lot. It gives me that extra peace of mind in crowds. I have a lower end bag and a small pacsafe backpack. I used the pacasafe in China and it was a winner! Thank you for your in depth review. Love your videos on all things travel! I follow you on a few different accounts. Your travel videos are often on my playlist.
Thank you for this review video! I like PacSafe and have several pieces. I use Travelon for my small crossbody bag and it’s served me well over the years… I even use it as my everyday. I do use my PacSafe daypack for travel. My husband really likes the PacSafe Men’s wallet. He bought it for a trip that included Barcelona, Tunisia and Italy. We are big on tethering things to us and the wallet has a slashproof tether. Took some convincing before the trip but he was sold after using it. Now he only travels with that PacSafe wallet.
I’ve got the CX convertible backpack and was concerned about the straps, but after consistent use on a 3-week Mediterranean trip, it wasn’t uncomfortable. I wasn’t loading it with heavy things like a water bottle, but I had an RFID Threads card holder, sunscreen cellphone and a light sweater in it as well as the occasional souvenir. Love this bag much more than I expected.
Love a top loading backpack, and that is a good-looking anti-theft line! I also like Sherpani for some anti-theft options in a more budget friendly price range. Thanks for the review!
Disappointed by the lack of back pocket on the crossbody. I keep hoping to find a purse with a slash proof strap with this feature! To me, a pocket on the back of a purse is a must. I know myself. I’m not going to keep items I’m constantly reaching for (like my phone) in a locked pocket. It’s too fiddly for something I’m going to be pulling out and putting back every few minutes. Having a pocket that lays close to my body can’t be accessed from the top of the bag is a good compromise in my book. It keeps things that are valuable accessible, but not SO accessible to the people around me that they can grab it without touching me enough to attract attention. I’ve also been using a phone leash that I clip to my purse for a little bit of extra security. I love these, not just as anti-theft protection, but as anti-drop protection. As the kind of person who gets terribly nervous any time I have my phone out standing at a railing, knowing the phone is tethered to me gives me peace of mind!
VaultPro has a crossbody purse with a back zip pocket. I thinks it’s the “Gateway”. I’ve had mine for 10+ years. It’s great. Cut proof strap and slash proof body.
I have bought PacSafe and Travelon backpacks, handbags and messenger bags but I end up rarely using them. They tend to stick out as a travel bag. Such as the crossbody bag that you are showing, with the Logo, the yellow zipper pulls. I want a bag that is leather or faux leather that can be used when dressing up as well as using on a walking tour in the city, something a little more fashionable. Most of the anti-theft bags tend to look like you are going hiking with them and that’s great if you’re okay with that. I have been using a Baggallini Everyday bag that I have had for years, I keep trying to find another bag to up my style😢
How timely for me! Tuesday, we’re flying non stop delta out of Detroit to Rome. Staying there a few ways then getting on a cruise ship. I have been watching a lot of these theft videos. My personal item is the bento bag v3, and I have tsa zipper locks for that. I’m also using the Beis sports sling and using those s shaped zipper attachments that take extra time to open. I’m so scared of theft. My husband and I are even carrying two different credit cards. Ps: your eyes are stunning!
I habe thr Pacsafe LS200 Crossbody and a convertible Sherpani Antitheft backpack. The Pacsafe i calle "Fort Knox" and ALWAYS bring it to Europe. I find it is a happy medium size for a purse yet can carry a water bottle, souvenirs for the day, and other extras without being too large. The strap just needs an extra padding which i just take from my sherpani as the cable in the strap really rubs against my collarbone. But love them both
I love package I bought a crossbody messenger bag 7 years ago which I still love and use on every international trip. I love their products but wish their newer products were a bit more stylish. Recently I got one of their wallets for my husband and myself.
Thanks for posting a great review. FYI - You squeeze the tab of the dock lock before pulling the zip to open that pocked rather than pulling super hard. I wish Pacsafe would make both ends of the straps on the cross body bags with he detachable hooks so you could change the straps. Then they could release a range of different coloured or patterned straps so you could change the look of the bags a bit. Another range of anti-theft bags that I love because they are so stylish is Arden Cove. Would love to see a review on them.
I have a 15 L Pacsafe backpack and have used this as a personal item. I liked it but bought it a while ago and it doesn't have a trolley strap - that would make it perfect. I have 3 crossbody bags as well in different sizes. The contents of my purse was stolen years ago when I was preoccupied while tending to my young kids in a Chicago museum. That still causes me nightmares, so I feel much safer with my Pacsafe and Travelon produces. Hope they work well on your trip.
I like the compact organizer. The spots for cards...the open clear bottom compartment...does your driver's license fit? Please try..for I would get it then. Good way to show...without always having to take out. Thanks
I’ve used pacsafe in the past. One thing I’m looking for in a crossbody bag is a thicker strap. I noticed on my DSLR camera strap it is very comfortable to wear all day when the crossbody purse I have now tends to bother my shoulder. So I’m anxious for your review of these products.
Thanks as always for your thoughtful and thorough reviews. This one convinced me to subscribe! Some of the linings seemed especially loud and crinkly, which would drive me nuts. Was that your experience IRL, or was it more microphone placement?
The CX backpack has been my work EDC for years. I still love it, but the padding on the straps has thinned out, and I would appreciate even a minimal waist strap since my work laptop and files can be heavy. But otherwise I love my PacSafe bags.
On your video ad, Mr Kelly is pulling the PacSafe backpack, did he get the bag or the girl🤭 Seriously, I was told in Nice, FR that we should not be in a crowd with a "safe" backpack. Crossbody packs/purses are better. Thanks for all your great work.
Thank you for the review. You piqued my interest in the brand. Someday, when you have a bigger gap between trips, how about a tour of all the luggage behind you ;) Or, do you have a list somewhere?
I’m working on a lot of organization right now and hope to do a nice tour. I have 57 carry on’s so it’s a lot! But even more personal items. I don’t have a list but their reviews are all in the luggage playlist to see which ones :)
@@ItsTheKellysI had to laugh at this! "One bag travel" does not mean I have only one bag! Let's just put it this way, .. I actually have my carry-ons listed in a spreadsheet with all the details! I have done the same for all of my cameras and camera lenses so I guess that's just me!😅

I have a few pieces of Pacsafe. The go crossbody is one of them. Love the anti theft features. Thank you for a thorough review. 😁

I took the slash proof strap from one of the pacsafe bags and used it as my crossbody phone leash.
I have the Travelon Classic Slim Double Crossbody. It has a deep back pocket.
Travelon, I use the bigger crossbody and it has this feature

Have you looked into Arden Cove bags?
Another great video Lauren! I have the 45L back pack and the convertible crossbody bag. They are awesome! 🤓
I really love Arden Cove anti theft bags. Functional but still stylish.
Love the wallet

If the bag is designed for credit cards and you have a standard US issued drivers license you’ll be fine, they are the same size
@breadroomghost8764 I honestly didn't know that. Ty

I have the same backpack in black. I like it but, I would definitely buy strap pads for it because the thin straps are so uncomfortable on long trips.
I haven’t used it on my back yet! I’m 48 hours into my trip and have only used it on my carry on bag so far!

Many people complained that the straps of CX backpack are very uncomfortable. Hvae you consider trying out the Metrosafe X 20L or 25L backpack?
I haven’t considered others yet because I haven’t used this one yet!
