Hey, Lauren and Mr. Kelly! One tip I heard from Kara via Kara & Nate was that ‘Most people use most things in most places of the world’ so whatever you cannot bring will likely be available in some capacity in your destination. That mindset gave me an easier packing mindset this Feb-May when I was traveling. Thank you as well for all your wonderful content. It has informed and influenced my decisions. I can’t wait for my Monos products to arrive! You are the best. I bought them because of you. ;) Love from Miami! :)
As a woman of color I bring lotion. A baby lotion for after showers and to wear along with perfume, and one that's heavier for those extra dry days. And I pack extra. I use a lot of lotion. I will place extra in other spots.😂 I pack bar soaps, but I splurge and get loccitane, and I use a solid deodorant. They don't count either..
I use CeraVe on face and body. 3 oz. Usually take care of a weeks travel. Bar soap and stick deo. I don't wear makeup or use perfume. Being allergic to products really helps pair down what I can use.
Worth noting that some countries DO require things like mascara and liquid lipstick to be in your liquids bag! Last time I flew through Stansted in the UK a woman in front of me in the security queue got told off for not having them in with the rest of her liquids so I'd honestly be double checking that for each location
Travel toothpaste - you can easily refill the travel size from your larger tube of tooth paste! Squeeze paste into a child medicinal syringe then into the travel sized tube. No need to toss the single use tube every time You can also put the tubes against each other and slowly squeeze from the large tube into the smaller one. The syringe method is useful for refilling all sorts of things.
And some people seem to forget that pretty much ANY place you travel to there will be some variety of grocery store or department store. They will have many things that you will need. You might be picky about one personal care item, but it is something that you aren’t as picky about, just buy some new stuff when you get there and then leave it there when you leave. Or bring it home if you haven’t gone over your limits.
As an additional note/request -- I cover my hair for religious reasons -- and so travel with undercaps, magnets, hijab scarves, and more modest clothing. It would be great to highlight some tips in this regard (how to pack light). Maybe there's an opportunity to collaborate with a hijabi traveler :). I hope it's me some day!
Lush sells moisturizing bars that I pack in place of lotion! I always get super dry when I travel, but you’re right, it takes up so much space when you’re trying to pack enough to moisturize from head to toe!
If the container says the amount of product in fluid ounces, it is a liquid. I have always been told if it can be squeezed or poured out, it is a liquid. TSA agents always have the final say. So 1 person may be really lenient but the next one is not. If you want to risk it, that’s your choice. I generally go by the strictest criteria for what counts as a liquid. In fact we’re going on a cruise in September and I’m not taking any liquids, because I don’t want to worry about taking them out at security. I’ve got a reef-safe sunscreen, toothpaste tablets, and hand sanitizer wipes. Those are the only things I would have taken that were liquids anyway. Thanks for the video!
Unfortunately I have eczema and with my ongoing dry skin battle I usually go through at least a 12oz tub of body butter a week….the struggle is real when I pack a liquids bag 😉🙄🤣
@@Nursepractitionerd A lot of times I check a bag🫣…,I know, I know…..if traveling in the states I have just gotten my “supplies” at my destination. I never thought about a script…..🤔, maybe that is the answer 😁
I have eczema too. For me, switching to a gentler soap really helped reduce/eliminate the need for lotion. I use the Eczema Relief Banana and Tumeric bar from By Robin Creations. It's pricey, so I only use it on travel, but it eliminates the need for me to use lotion, and it's not a liquid. I'm sure there are other brands that also make gentler soaps. I also bring a lotion stick for any areas that need extra moisture. I don't know if any of these would work for you, but I thought I would list them here.
I use Bite toothpaste bits, love them! Been using them for 2 yrs. I'm also a contact lenses wearer with super dry eyes, so I actually pack a 2nd liquids bag I label "medical" to add all my prescription eye drops, lense solution, and allergy nose sprays, since medical items do not count toward 311. I do pack lotion, as I have a dry skin condition and without using lotion my skin gets horribly itchy and can crack, so it's a must. I tried Ethique solid lotion, but it wasn't moisturizing enough unfortunately.
As shampoo (I don't use conditioner), I like to use the DrBronner bar soap. I use the baby one as it's the only one that doesn't have fragrance (they might be essential oils) in it. I also use it as my body and face soap when I travel. Here in Canada it cost about 6.50CAD$ plus taxes and you can find them in any bio store.
I can live without body lotion but not without hand lotion. I usually just bring a small tin of Nivea cream with me and that’s enough to tackle my hands and any dry patches on my body if they pop up. It can also double as an eye makeup remover in a pinch if I’m really trying to pare down my toiletries.
I rarely used lotion when I lived in Ohio, but now that I'm in a much drier and less humid climate, I use it more. So, I try to take into account the humidity of the destination when trying to decide whether I need to pack lotion. Also, there are some companies that make lotion sticks (so they are solid).
Another good video ! As for perfumes , I usually bring samples or roller types these days ! After the 911 ,the regulations got too strict on liquids ! I buy travel sized shampoos / conditioners ,so on in the country I am flying into ! I didn't know that liquid lipsticks don't count as liquid !!! 😮👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞
Great video! First lotion is a must! Cannot be without it! If home I use lotion than Jojoba to seal it in the moisture, but I do leave the oil. For makeup, I take a foundation stick, but the contact lens case is also good foundation.
A fantastic solid lotion is Kate McLeod! They come in small versions for travel and many different natural scents. I love it at home and am excited to try it for travel. I cannot live without nail oil and lip balm, so I always have that. I've switched to Dr. Rogers Restore lip balm because it can double as a cuticle/cut healer in a pinch (and it is unscented). For a small-sized oil, the rose cuticle oil from Ten Over Ten comes in a slender tube if this is important to you. I am an overpacker regarding these items so I am trying to reform my practices! This is so helpful, so thanks!
Oh man. I have post-menopausal skin and wouldn’t be able to live without lotion. Actually I’ve always had dry skin. It’s just worse now. I have lotion stashed everywhere.
Well hopefully a small bottle can be ok, or if you’re in one spot, getting a bigger one upon arrival! Or just prioritizing your liquids with lotion as opposed to liquid shampoos and conditioners :)
Same here, just always having dry skin. Also why I can't use powder foundations. I'm in the process at home of switching my blush, bronzer & highlighter from powders to sticks (but it's expensive) bc of my dry af face lol
I had to stop using Bare Minerals foundation and switch everything over to cream products as well for the same reason. So frustrating. One thing I do for blush is just swipe a bit of my lipstick onto my cheeks, add a tiny bit of Vaseline for easier movement, and blend. Works perfectly, low cost, and moisturizing.
@@kathrynnielson5689 I’ve never used bare minerals but I can say I know that you have to stay super moisturized before using powder foundation, and I use a primer. When I’m at home, I use all liquid though
I'm a lotion gal but I always check the hotel I'm going to first and it they provide it, I use theirs. I'm not picky, just something to make my legs and arms less dry.
I’m team lotion! My skin gets way too ashy. I use the contact lens trick for Vaseline, face cream, hair pomade. I cut a bar of face soap into quarters, which is good for a week of travel.
I have to pack a styler for my hair like a gel for example, curly hair life. And if I plan to diffuse then a heat protectant. For cream though I’ll use the same cream on my face as I’ll use on my hands, like a cerave or this aloe one I really like that are basically in scented and gentle with ingredients that don’t break me out. But if you needed more solid lotion bars and sticks are a thing for sure.
I’ve tried lots of bar soaps, but recently switched to 100 Senses. Smells divine, lathers like a dream and is gentle enough for my fine, wavy, color treated hair AND my face and body! One bar lasts several months too. I cut small pieces for travel, put them in the Kitsch shampoo bag (helps it lather and can also hang in the shower) and then put it in a Matador soap bag when I’m done. Still looking for a conditioner tho! Going to try HiBar for that next!
Instead of foundation, I use a tinted sunscreen. I don’t buy eye cream. My dermatologist said you can use the face moisturizer as eye cream. I would decant suncscreen into smaller flat bag bottle, I am allergic to a lot of different kinds. Cut a bar of soap in half.
I like tinted sunscreen, I have several brands, but it doesn’t cover enough for my liking and it’s way too big, even though it’s under 3 oz. But I love it for my off days at home :)
For what it’s worth, I like the Neutrogena Pure&Free baby solid on my face. I bought 1ml amber glass dropper bottles for my serums. They held enough product for 10 days. I did have to take 2 bottles for squalane oil. I also used contact lenses holders for face soap and lotions. I put fresh contact lense solution in extra contact lense casses, I only had to take a small bottle of solution. My tretinoin is a labeled prescription cream so it went in a different bag but does not count against your liquids bag.
Sorry, this is Lauren’s husband, and I accidentally deleted your post on the previous video on sunscreen and I found this link www.tsa.gov/news/press/statements/2021/04/12/statement-regarding-sunscreen-carry-bags. She does love her Ethique and is looking forward to Gemz retooling their hair procure as well. Thank you for watching!
Hi Lauren! Per make-up: I am 72 and don’t wear much anymore. There is a company that caters to older women. Their entire face products consist of three small solid tubes: moisturizer, blush, and highlighter. They come in a very small cloth bag, so are easy to pack. Not sure if it’s okay to say the brand name. I tried to read the rules but only got confused!
I've been meaning to make a video like this forever! My current favorite non-liquid is The Powder Shampoo that lathers with water. It's actual shampoo, not "dry shampoo". I love Ethique for other solid toiletries, like face moisturizer. 🌺Heidi
It’s great for reapplication but it’s not as even/thorough as a liquid sunscreen so I don’t know how I feel about someone packing it as their only sunscreen unless their outdoor time on their trip was minimal.
I have developed eczema on my hands . I need lots of specialized lotion to prevent a horrible, painful breakout. I’ve been. He checking for solid alternatives but haven’t found any so far. I should have room for them if I pack the rest of my toiletries as you do! Thanks!
Definitely a lotion girl I have alligator skin lol but I’ve been using my medicine bottles for lotion, shampoo / condition etc will have to try the flatter hacks
Scrubzz bath wipes - you basically add water and it can be your shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Also meant for campers & hikers to freshen up bc you don't have to rinse it off so also can be like a dry shampoo. Lotion is a must for me, especially in the winter or after shaving legs, or my skin legit flakes off and is itchy. Lastly, I dunno what to do w self tanner as mine is a foam pump bottle and my toner is a spray. But may just bring my big bottle since I have to check luggage most of time anyway w my hiking poles that are not allowed in carry on
I was looking at Cadence capsules but decided not to go with them. I found Palette travel container. It is nice and cheaper than Cadence. The only thing is that I dont like dipping fingers into a pot, and i will lose a spatula. Then i found airless pump bottles, and I love them. I can take 5ml or 10ml of my facewash, moistuizer, face sunscreen, aloe, ect, and they dont take hardly any room. Then, I have the same size spray bottles with thinner liquids and mini roller balls for essential oils. I'm also trying solid shampoo and liking Ethique. I have the Matador soap bags, so they are more compact than a soap box and dont get slimy.
I recommend toothpaste tabs and mouthwash tabs! I like the brand bite! You can’t go wrong with the traditional mint flavor but they also have fruity fun flavors if that’s your thing!
You are my favorite! I have gotten so many great ideas from you. Ordered the July Light Expandanble based on your recommendation. I love it. You are thorough and so real. Thank you! We are going for a trip to Europre - for us, a trip of a lifetime! - and you have helped me prepare for travel more than you can know.
Lotion....I have extremely sensitive dry skin and I'm sensitive to smell (strong scents can trigger migraines) so I can't risk using what hotels have. I never want to risk and irritation or bad reactions, plus my skin gets dry on flights. But thats just me. However, I don't wear make up so its a trade for me!
My latest find is dry powder face wash. I love the Chanel #1 version, but there are other, cheaper brands. Also, for dry shampoo, you can use cornstarch or Trader Joes has a powder.
I am a lotion gal but I have started using SuperGoop glow oil sunscreen (and they have a tiny travel spray perfect for liquids bag). It gives me SPF but also the feel of a tanning oil. So my skin doesn't dry out as bad. I still take a small lotion, but minimal amount for emergencies ;)
Toothpaste tabs work great. I’ve tried a few brands. Thanks for the info on the shampoo bar. I just got a sample set with lotion and face wash too so I’m excited to use them on my next trip.
@@ToriE1073 I found Ethique trial packs for sensitive skin that had shampoo, conditioner, face cleanser and body butter. They have several other options, including a shampoo and conditioner sample pack that includes different options depending on hair type. They are the same small heart shapes that Lauren shared in the video. Hope that helps.
Lauren, you find the BEST items! I have been sold on Gemz, and love them so much! I bought plenty, so I have a good enough supply for my next trip. Can't wait to see what their revamped items are like! That tiny bar of Dove is perfect! Where did you find it? I've also used that contacts case hack for a few years now, and probably always will. Also glad you showed the Laura Gellar Bake Balance & Brighten! That stuff is awesome, but now I need that tiny version. I also use the Physicians Formula trio pallette, so there's another solid. As far as lotion, I'll bring a small amount if I want to wear a scent, since I don't bring perfume at all. Awesome tips once again, Lauren!
Have you looked at matador brand soap bag? It allows you to put all your soap in the one bag and it rolls down from the top and clasps shut. It allows soap to dry while protecting everything else from the soap and packs very small
Thanks for telling me it’s OK to not pack all my skincare products! I usually pack EVERYTHING because I see vacation time as a way to take extra care of myself, but now I will think about less stuff being less stressful! What are your thoughts on shampoo bars for curly hair. I love my LUS shampoo/conditioner/and leave in serum. Anything equivalent in bar form?
I have 2 videos about the older styles. For the new styles, I only have the two small ones (and I’ve featured them twice) and I’m not planning on getting the bigger ones unless the company sends them. I love the small ones for face wash and moisturizer :)
I don’t know if you’ve ever talked about it on any of your videos, but I’d love to know how you are able to travel so much affordably. I’m hustling for ways to travel more often and combining any remote work opportunities, etc. I recently discovered your channel and I love it. Your reviews are always useful fun, and very informative on all levels.🎉
When it comes to my job, I don’t have PTO like most people, I actually don’t make money while I’m gone, which means I get to leave whenever I want (within reason lol) as for money saving tips, I’ve gone over it a bit, but no one ever watches it. I have a blog post on how to find cheaper flights on Itsthekellys.com and an old video somewhere in the travel tips playlist :) Our IG has a lot of tips like this too, easier to find than videos. @its.the.Kelly’s

Videos I’d like to see😊: BÉIS weekender vs your dupe (which I have) BÉIS beige color wear and tear and how you’ve used it in comparison to the black color. Lululemon bags for travel? Calpak cosmetics clear cases Vs BÉIS Tumi carry on luggage review😅
I don’t really use my Beis weekender because I don’t love it to be honest, but the beige wear and tear on the canvas material is horrible. The beige on the expandable backpack is great. I’ll take the other ones into consideration, but the companies have to want to work with me, and none of them have expressed interest at the moment.
@@ItsTheKellys thanks for the response! What are the cons of the BÉIS weekender? I got the dupe to see if I wanted to splurge on BÉIS itself. If I were to get it I’d get the mini weekender as a personal item. I’m a carry on luggage kind of girl. The weekenders are usually still on top of my carryon for road trips and stuff. Still looking for the perfect personal item. I use it for my daughter and me so I need compact but spacious. I tried Bagsmarts duffle the smaller size and it did not fit under the seat in my first class delta cabin, but they were nice enough about it. Hence, looking at the mini weekender. If you have a better recommendation or brand I’d love input! I carry a lot since she has meds and stuff I need to have on me. Backpack and weekender (shoe compartment aspect) recommendations pls
@@Mommyingthis the mini is just as tall and deep as the regular weekender, just not as wide. It’s still very big as a personal item. The doctor bag opening takes away from a lot of space that could be used if it was a regular opening instead. I’ve been loving my nomad lane bag as my personal item. It’s here in bora bora with me.
I wanted to love ethique soo bad I really forced myself to use it for 7 months! I tried different ones and none of their shampoo and conditioner works for me! I tried some other bar shampoos but I still have not find any one that works with my scalp… my issue is my scalp! It gets soo oily and the bar shampoos tends to leave product in my hair which turn into dandruff… idk maybe I’m not using bar shampoos the right way! But I do love ethique face cleanser soap and scrub! Definitely a plus
Contact solution in most cases should be an exempt product as it's a medical type item. It will vary depending on your airport and or TSA. What Ethique did you try?
Yes I just don’t risk it, as I’m mostly international at airports I haven’t been to before, and don’t want to risk getting searched and re-scanned. I’ve tried almost all of them, I believe. The shampoos are fine but I don’t like solid conditioner.
I feel like most shampoo bars are sulfate free, when I was shopping around, I saw that. When I had my extensions in my last toiletries video, I used 2 of my gemz shampoos and 2 conditioners for my hair and it was about 300 grams (I have so much hair!) but when I have mine in, I only wash mine every 7 days or so, so I actually wash less with extensions.
Hi Lauren! Love the content! I'm trying to decide between the July Carry All Weekender Plus bag and the Away Large Everywhere Bag! Any recommendations between the two? I know the July does carry more but the away is cheaper! Can't find any content on the July bag! Thanks in advance! 😀
Thank you :) I haven’t seen the Away in person (I will on Saturday!) but I know it’s just a normal duffel, vs the July opens like a suitcase and has better organization. Ive seen it, when i was in Australia :) I would hands down get the July!
Where do you find small contact lens solution I like roll on deodorants. I’m surprised it’s impossible to find a version smaller than the 50 ml side. They are unnecessarily bulky. I’m seen expensive little known brands but not in the main brands
Hey there! I just recently discovered you and you have been so helpful! I usually drive when I travel, but am flying southwest in September. You may have covered this previously, so I apologize for not finding my answer in your previous videos, but what about liquid gels Advil, Aleve, etc. Do they consider that a liquid?
Hey! pills are not liquid so you’re good there! I put mine in small baggies and have a small pouch for my pills! Packing Hack for medication + packing prescriptions ua-cam.com/video/aWa4m3ipXAs/v-deo.html

I just placed an order for several of the Ethique minis in prep for our cruise in 3 weeks. Can't wait to try them!
You are going to love them!
So glad you loved the Ethique items! I use my conditioner as my daily conditioner. Love it so much
It's so good!
Love the primer in a contact lens case hack!!
Isn’t it great?! You barely need any!
I have to agree with you on the Ethique. It's so good i use it at home, almost every time i wash and condition my hair !!💛🙂
Oh, I just checked the other comments and see it’s okay. The company is Boom.
I will check them out! Thanks :)
I've been meaning to make a video like this forever! My current favorite non-liquid is The Powder Shampoo that lathers with water. It's actual shampoo, not "dry shampoo". I love Ethique for other solid toiletries, like face moisturizer. 🌺Heidi
Interesting! I’ll have to try that!
Which powder shampoo? What brand?
I've been so tempted for a while now to try Laura Geller's baked balance, and here you are telling me to buy it, lol.
I LOVE it. I’ve been using it since January!
When travelling I love the Olay daily facials wipes, you get them wet and they suds up and are great for removing makeup.
Good to know!
Solid sunscreen is great. Your hands dont get covered if you need to do a quick reapply.
It’s great for reapplication but it’s not as even/thorough as a liquid sunscreen so I don’t know how I feel about someone packing it as their only sunscreen unless their outdoor time on their trip was minimal.
I’m going to try it next week!
@@xqueenfrostine Yep, I only use it to reapply. I would not use it for my primary full body coverage.
Great video! I am going to try the Cadence products on my next trip along with the solid sun screen!
Let me know how you like them!
Ethique also makes a solid body lotion! Us perimenopause and menopausal women are so dry! We gotta have that lotion!
Antiseptic cream such as Bepanthen is a must have for pimples, chafing and cuts.
A tiny tub will go a long way.
I’d put mine in a contact case!
Great video!! Laura Gellar has been my go to for years. It’s my everyday foundation and I love it for my mature skin. Fantastic travel makeup!
It's so good!
You can also get solid perfumes as well.
Yes! I do have one and I have unfortunately misplaced it!
The toothy tabs and mouthwash tabs from Lush are awesome! You need to try. As far as lotion, I use lotion bars. Solid!
Awesome! Great to know.
Lotion bar?? What do you use? I'm intrigued
I recommend toothpaste tabs and mouthwash tabs! I like the brand bite! You can’t go wrong with the traditional mint flavor but they also have fruity fun flavors if that’s your thing!
Thanks for the tip! 💕
I tried Dew Care Tap Secret Dry Shampoo…I like it! 🙌🏻 Powder, not liquid! 🎉
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much, that means a lot to me. I’m so glad you love your July and I hope you have an incredible trip! Where in Europe are you headed?
@@ItsTheKellys You are welcome! Croatia and Italy!
You’re a great friend thanks for being there always
US Hotels have toothpaste. It’s in a package as a one day use. Love to pack my toiletries in a minimal fashion. BTW new sub.
Thanks for watching and subbing! Going minimal on the toiletries just makes life easier on a trip.
I tried Hello bites and don’t really care for them. Thanks for the great tips!
Toothpaste tabs work great. I’ve tried a few brands. Thanks for the info on the shampoo bar. I just got a sample set with lotion and face wash too so I’m excited to use them on my next trip.
Yay! And thanks for sharing! Maybe I’ll try them on my next trip after this one
Do you mind sharing what sample set you found and where you got it?
@@ToriE1073 I found Ethique trial packs for sensitive skin that had shampoo, conditioner, face cleanser and body butter. They have several other options, including a shampoo and conditioner sample pack that includes different options depending on hair type. They are the same small heart shapes that Lauren shared in the video. Hope that helps.
@@ItsTheKellys unpaste tooth tabs are the ones I found and like.
@@MM-yh2mi thank you!!!
Honestly the dove mini has been in my toiletries bin for so long! Maybe target or Walmart travel section?
Lotion bars!
Have you looked at matador brand soap bag? It allows you to put all your soap in the one bag and it rolls down from the top and clasps shut. It allows soap to dry while protecting everything else from the soap and packs very small
I have not :) very cool. I usually don’t travel with soap, as hotels have it.
I like powder dry shampoo. I feel like the travel aerosol bottles are not enough for a week for my hair...
I’m sure a lot of the brands out there have curly hair products! My hair is pin straight so I can’t try it for you, but I do love these ethique ones!
Alastins eye cream really is the best ❤
Absolutely!
I would love a review of Cadence capsules! Especially their new sizes. I have soooo many. But I'm thinking about getting those small ones.
I have a blog post on how to find cheaper flights on Itsthekellys.com and an old video somewhere in the travel tips playlist :)
Our IG has a lot of tips like this too, easier to find than videos. @its.the.Kelly’s
@@ItsTheKellys I’m working on Ways to make my own travel dreams more possible. Really appreciate all of your great advice on traveling and luggage. I’m heading to Amsterdam in December for my birthday. I’ve been constantly studying and reading about travel and travel hacks for many years. Trying to implement them more and more in my own life. Thanks for being an inspiration and having a great channel. I subscribed to the first video of yours I watched!
I used to use/ love Joico !! 👍
I've been using toothpaste tablets for years and I really like them. I use Un-paste.
Great to know!
I ordered some shampoo and conditioner Bar last night. I hope it works for my daughter and I.😢
I hope so too!
Great tips…thank you for sharing 😊
You are so welcome!
As a brown girl with dry skin and kp, lotion is a must lol but i take a small travel and buy a big bottle at my destination
Understandable ❤️
Have you tried Tap Secret dry shampoo? It is a powder - one less liquid in the bag!
I haven’t found a powder that I like yet! They have all been too white for my black hair, and make it too gritty on top of the oils.
Videos I’d like to see😊:
BÉIS weekender vs your dupe (which I have)
BÉIS beige color wear and tear and how you’ve used it in comparison to the black color.
Lululemon bags for travel?
Calpak cosmetics clear cases Vs BÉIS
Tumi carry on luggage review😅
@@ItsTheKellys also I’ve been binging on your channel last few days. Trip to Hawaii this month so I’m on the hunt … thx!
How do you label the small containers?
I wanted to love ethique soo bad I really forced myself to use it for 7 months! I tried different ones and none of their shampoo and conditioner works for me! I tried some other bar shampoos but I still have not find any one that works with my scalp… my issue is my scalp! It gets soo oily and the bar shampoos tends to leave product in my hair which turn into dandruff… idk maybe I’m not using bar shampoos the right way!
But I do love ethique face cleanser soap and scrub! Definitely a plus
I didn’t end up liking it for my beach trip. I don’t mind it at home, but not after snorkeling and salad water
The shampoos are fine but I don’t like solid conditioner.
love bite, the solid toothpaste
I’ll eventually check it out! Thank you :)
I get the Brazilian blowout, so I can’t use shampoo with sulfate. Do you know of any shampoo bars that are sulfate free?
And I also have 150 grams of 22 inch hand tied weft extensions. Those tiny containers look so small for all of this hair.
I feel like most shampoo bars are sulfate free, when I was shopping around, I saw that. When I had my extensions in my last toiletries video, I used 2 of my gemz shampoos and 2 conditioners for my hair and it was about 300 grams (I have so much hair!) but when I have mine in, I only wash mine every 7 days or so, so I actually wash less with extensions.
have you found anything similar to Gemz? the bars are a pain to use with my hair.
Please share the brand name for your "at home" Vanilla Almond body wash
I’m currently traveling for 2 weeks and won’t be able to check for a while! I got it at Tj Maxx and haven’t found it since!
Where do you find small contact lens solution
I like roll on deodorants. I’m surprised it’s impossible to find a version smaller than the 50 ml side. They are unnecessarily bulky. I’m seen expensive little known brands but not in the main brands
I find them all at target or Walmart or any larger store like that :)
Lotion for exuma and dry skin
I have 2 packed now.
I like shampoo/conditioner bars but because I have light grey hair I need to be careful with any product with color. Any suggestions?
Why is your dry shampoo in the liquids bag? Isn't that by definition a solid?
It’s not. It’s an aerosol and it’s liquid that dries once it hits your head.
Packing Hack for medication + packing prescriptions
ua-cam.com/video/aWa4m3ipXAs/v-deo.html
Thank you! I am not a frequent flyer as you can tell 😂. I did get around to googling it and found out medications don’t count. Sometimes my headaches come on suddenly and didn’t want to have to pack them all in the toiletry bag and not be able to get to them easily. Love the gelcap because they work so much quicker 😉. Happy travels, and thanks again for all your tips!
Also, I was on my way to delete my question, and you had already answered. Oh well 😂.
Great video as usual! Do you have a dry shampoo brand preference?
Weekend hair by Joico!
Lauren did you ever use that bar sunscreen? What's your verdict on it?
I mostly use it on my face or touch ups on my shoulders or chest, but not all over. It would just take too long 😂
Hi question. Since you like sunscreens as well , have you branched out into trying Korean sunscreen ?
I haven’t :) I’ve just gotten whatever is available at my nearby store.
@ItsTheKellys oh OK just curious
Why does dry shampoo go in liquids bag?
It’s a liquid aerosol, similar to a hairspray, and then dries.
I need help with packing a bag for 2 weeks to India
My top tips: capsule wardrobe, packing cubes and pack only 1 extra pair of shoes! You’ve got this!
Do the mosquito wipes actually work?
They do! I always use them :)
How to prevent soap bars from melting or how do u store it when it’s wet
I’ll update you guys when I’m on this trip, because it’ll be my first time traveling with my shampoo bars, and I’m doing 12 days/4 hotels!
I recommend the Matador FlatPak soap bar case 😊
I always bath in the evening on vacation, and I let my bar soaps sit out to dry on a towel or tissue. But yeah, a Matador soap bag is on my wishlist.
Is the dry shampoo comes in a spray ? Is that ok in the carry on ? Wondering if I can take hair spray in that 3-1-1 bag ? Thanks
Yes, you can take it in the 3-1-1. Some places say no aerosols but I’ve never had a problem in any airport ever.
Where can i find the gemz i really want to try them but i dont see them on amazon
They have temporarily stopped making them. They are redoing them
Thank you for the update i will try the other ones you suggested
I’m fussy about my hair but no way I’m lugging any amount of shampoo or body wash to a vacation. I was JUST eyeing the contacts cases for my liquids 😂
I've thought of using shampoo bars. How do you like it in comparison to your everyday shampoo?
As a professional stylist whose salon doesn’t sell shampoo bars, I should let say this, but I love them way more. It feels like more work, but my hair stays cleaner much much longer!
Thanks! I learned a lot!
I use the solid sunscreen as my lotion😂😂😂😂
Mascara and liquid lipsticks do count as liquids
