What great ideas! Thank you so much for sharing and showing! One of the things that I'm doing this year for stocking stuffers is a little 10 like you have with the scissors, thread, needle for my family to have in the car. That way whenever they are at an event and the button falls off or their hem gets loose or whatever, they've got it in the car. I have used homemade cards for many years from other people. It makes me smile twice because I remember the person who made the cards and I remember to say thank you for what I have gotten. Love love love the idea! What I have done with fabric cards that I have made in the past is using black thread to make a frame around the fabric or the applique. It goes through all the layers so trash is your sewing needle but super cute ideas! One other tip I'd like to share that I do is that I sign the back of all my quilts. I don't put a label like everybody else. I write my first name and the year it was made. Sometimes I hide it in the design. My father painted professionally. He signed all of his artwork and I don't know why I can't do the same. I just use a pigma micron pen and it's permanent! Then when one of my friends loses a loved one, I gift them with a quilt and tell them I'm wrapping them in a great big warm hug. Thank you Amy for always being an inspiration! 😀
Love your ideas, especially the note cards. You're right about having stuff in our stash that we could make someone's day. I've made mini sewing kits because you rarely see them anymore. I keep one in my toiletry bag.
I just love having these vlogs every day. Really enjoyed today's. I know they are a lot of work, but am going to be sad when vlogmas is over and not see you every day.
Oh my gosh! I adore these cards. I have plenty of card bases I need to use up, so thank ytou for this fantastic idea! I just need to get liquid starch and glue sticks now.
What a great, quick idea for a card. I have some fabric I couldn't figure out what to do with it. All these ideas are great and I have everything I need, except the cellophane envelopes.
Great video, I love both of these ideas. The cards are great because you can really fancy them up if you want. Fussy cut fabrics, orphan blocks, little EPP flowers etc and if you have a little gift box to put them in they’ll look really fancy. I’ve made little EPP beginner kits for friends before with the basics and I cut some papers with my Cricut. They went down really well. I used zipper pouches rather than tins. BTW we couldn’t hear the dogs at all.
Hello Beautiful! I’m guessing you starch and then cut. Have you ever cut the edges with a pinking blade? I use a product called Terial Magic. It is a starch like product that makes the fabric pretty stiff, just like the ones you did. It’s a little pricey but I think it takes a lot less product to get the results. I’ve seen the fabric stitched onto the cards too. I like the different angles on the camera you’ve been using lately. Love the snarky quotes. I’m making some simple fabric bookmarks and simple needle books for some young sewists I know.

The Dollar Tree has great tins that size for $1.25. Also, lots of crafty, sewing things to put into a kit.
