I also used different settings for my dmd in the beginning but having your Lontium display in portrait mode is going to give you trouble down the line. If you need help email me. But your gonna be in windows screen setting hell when you install vpx and future pinball. The first thing you need to do when installing pinup popper is all screens need to be in landscape mode, 100% scaling, your playfield is always the left screen, then your backglass, then dmd, then topper (if you get those eventually ) Also just know windows will mess with you with the numbering of the screens. Don’t worry about that so much, there is a chance vpx and future pinball will tell you , your playfield is screen number 2 when windows says it’s number 1. Lol welcome to hell brother . Haha jk welcome to the family, great video.
Trust me I know haha. Already have VPX fully running through Pinup Popper. I’m using irotate to accommodate the change in modes between the two. Also set up two Joytokey profiles for each. Eventually I’ll have pinup run fx3 and can stay in landscape. Already have 100 tables loaded lol, it’s been a fun learning experience with an extreme learning curve but fairly easy once you understand it. Appreciate the heads up!!!!
You're right between Wagner and yourself put out great videos. I got to play field and back glass and the DMD working great on FX. However, on FX 3 everything works except the back glass it's just a black screen showing the file name. So I haven't figured out why it works on one and not the other.
Thanks for the info. I got the dmd working but I don’t have the art background display? All files are loaded in the folder. I can share pics of what I see. Basically black with the name of the directory where the art back glass is
Mine arrives next week - I'm still deciding whether or not to keep the DMD on my tablet i have already in-use...or move it to the backglass once I install the VIB...
@@JohnPauls I already have the tablet velcroed between the speakers showing the DMD. If my GPU will support it (no lag) - I will keep it as DMD and when I connect the VIB just use the backglass to show the artwork.
How are you using your tablet as a DMD? Spacedesk? Sorry, I am quite new to all of this! I usually see Spacedesk thrown out as the option for a tablet DMD and am interested if there are other options?
Ummm... how is this pinball machine if you don't add all this stuff.. like if I wanna play like how it comes?... do you still recommend it if I don't have a PC to attach it to?
Human nature is to always want more, is it satisfying to purchase, play with the pre-loaded 120+ something tables (Gottlieb = meh, Zaccaria = Yay), Taito and future easily downloadable tables through the Legends platform… yes absolutely. I just want more and I’m willing to learn a new platform to add to the system. It’s worth it but not necessary with the ALP. You’ll enjoy it without the benefits of OTG and if you get tired later on with the hundred + tables, you’ll have the option to add always open.
I actually really like the Zacs now after trying FX3 the way it’s supposed to be experienced and VPX / Future pinball. It’s nice having native tables that just work. Everything for the most part, great FPS, vivid colors, everything works (for the most part) I.e. haptics and the gameplay is just and effortless. Yeah the music and art on the some of those tables is unsatisfying, like you said great base for a mod when you want more.
@@JohnPauls yea..my a1up was great out of the box...I just feel like atgames is good if you want to start to mod or do emulation but not everyone does, I wish they were more transparent about that..my ALU had no play, because I don't wanna mess with emulation..... if I did I'd have a pi4
Did you do the recent hack on yours yet? I loaded all 30 tables on my Arcade1up with the recent update. Pissed me off knowing the pcb on that thing can hold all thirty tables and they sold it with 10?!
how do you download the art work for the Backglass? I have the main screen working fine it's just the backglass still shows my computer desktop screen.
You need to download the b2s file. Google the “table name b2s”. Download and install in the same folder. Ensure the backglass b2s file name matches the table vpx name identically.
I'll try this, found out that all my backglass files for this are .xpx files and backglass asks for .bmp, .jpg, ect. I'll have to figure that out, thank you. But first have to figure out why controls on atGames are not registerring when I try to set them in pinball fx3.
I've got all the adapters, followed Wagner tech talk etc but is it possible my laptop won't all two monitors? Or do you dust the nvda graphics card somewhere. Just doesn't seem to recognize two monitors.
You’re most welcome lol. Yes the graphics card needs to be capable of displaying two monitors. Google your specific card and check it’s capabilities. I bought a prebuilt at Microcenter, came with a RTX3060 for $1200+\- with “inflation”

Hey Dan! It’s showing the laptop as the third display. There’s ways to auto turn off the screen when it senses external monitors.
Hit “Identify” in Monitor settings to shut down the proper display. It’ll number each display live on screen.
