For me, there is nothing more relaxing than knife painting, and with Bob Ross's voice, it simply becomes the ultimate ASMR.
Cannot be matched, really. None of that fake, role play ASMR, which to me is more annoying than relaxing. Trying too hard. This man did it naturally.

This man is timeless. Even my high school students know who he is. Several still watch him and are memorized. Saw a student wearing a Bob Ross shirt not long ago. Made my day.

This brings me back to 1990... I was 12 and we had just moved from Chicago to where we currently still live and I was experiencing school bullying in such a horrible way. And I hadn't known about Mr. Ross yet either, until we finally got a small TV with local cable! And EVERY SINGLE DAY after school, I'd sit with my snack and plop myself in front of the TV! 3PM was the time... this man saved my soul that was broken and tired at such a young age... My God if he could only know he was the one who inspired me to begin painting!
I'm 44 now and I still believe this Mr. Ross is the best Artist in the world... He would be so sad to know just how bad things have gotten and maybe try to ease us with his voice and painting shows! 😭

I didn't watch his show as a child (I'm Czech), but this is pretty enjoyable to watch.
It's original and also educational and it can help you to understand many good techniques!
And it's quite calming to watch mr. Ross paint another masterpiece.

Based on my keen sense of observation I would have to say that Bob was an artist. How could you not love this guy? He is the GOAT! Thank God I can still watch him. RIP sir.
I really love Bob’s voice and the way he’s so sweet to explain every little detail. I don’t have the hability of painting, but when I see him doing it, I have the feeling that I can do it just like him. It feels amazing, you know?

I swear...the theme music is damn calming and puts a smile on my face every time. I hear it and I instantly turn into a child watching him paint and all the world's problems fade away for 30 mins. Watching his videos helped me during the pandemic especially during the lockdown. I love watching him now as a 41 year old more than I did as a child.
I always liked it when Bob painted a home, cabin, barn, etc. Anything to signify humanity. Lovely as his nature paintings are, I liked it when his paintings acknowledged both humanity and nature.
His paintings are so melancholic, i can only think that the happiness he wanted to inspire was for others only, to protect us from what he passed.
His voice tickles me. I love it. I could use his sounds and voice to fall asleep to.

Yes, he was fascinating. He had the characteristics of many artists, which is having a style all of his own, standing out as unique and people who are fun to be around, talented and many are eccentric to a point.
Bob was just one hell of a nice man.

The thing with paint-along viedeos is that most painters just talk because they feel like they should say something to avoid getting uncomfortable with the silence. Bob is the excepetion. He talked because he felt comfortable doing what he did. I actually enjoy him talking no matter what he says. It's his energy I guess.

I remember working at this hotel doing graveyard shift and sometimes I use to watch the TV because well there was nothing else to do sometimes at 2am or 3am plus they never had many channels nor any good ones but this show would always come on tv late nights and one day I said what the heck let's see whats going on here and honestly I'm so glad I watched it been a big fan ever since!!

He was only 53 when he died. He died young u might say. Very sad. Crazy to think about just how long its been only since the last episode he made, wich was in 1994. But here he is, 27 years after his death, loved by millions on youtube from around the world ❤
