Assassin's Creed References In Video Games
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 чер 2024
- Video games being referenced in other video games are some of my favorite things to discover. And this falls especially in line with Assassin’s Creed. Instead of my usual video that’s focused specifically on Assassin's Creed, why not go on a journey through various video games to explore references related to Assassin's Creed found within them.

Assassin's Creed is an open-world, action-adventure, and stealth game franchise published by Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio Ubisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and its more advanced derivatives. Created by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, the Assassin's Creed video game series depicts a fictional millennia-old struggle between the Order of Assassins, who fight for peace and free will, and the Knights Templar, who desire peace through order and control. The series features historical fiction, science fiction, and fictional characters intertwined with real-world historical events and historical figures. In most games, players control a historical Assassin while also playing as an Assassin Initiate or someone caught in the Assassin-Templar conflict in the present-day framing story. Considered a spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia series, Assassin's Creed took inspiration from the novel Alamut by the Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol, based on the historical Hashashin sect of the medieval Middle East.

Assassin's Creed might be the game with the most crossovers out there.
Can only be outshined by OG games like Pacman, Doom or Mario
@@BLET_55artem55 Absolutely, just never realized how much actual crossovers and references it had with other games.
nah fortnite
@@thecrustytreesrevenge2201 Fortnite is the one that does the crossovers, i'm talking about the other way around.
Take a shot every time Hidden Ones says Assassin’s Creed.
You’ll be too drunk to see the eclipse soon 😂 🌑.
You'd be more than drunk. Blacked out.
@@TheHiddenOne690 😂 🌑 👍🏻
LOL When? (smallest ubisoft plot hole)
Far Cry's references are the craziest.
And both games are owned by Ubisoft@@brokenman4668

1:29 to anyone who is curious...
Knife of Chinese Origin: Features Silver Dragon Icon - Far Cry 3 Dagger (used to kill vaas)
Urn: inscription illegible - Far cry 4 Protags Urn (Ishwari's Ashes)
Destiny 2 also had a crossover recently - each class got a special armor ornament set:
Hunters got Kassandra's outfit, Warlocks had Altair's, and Titans got Eivor's
i literally only wear altairs fit in destiny now, i can’t help but feel like a badass lmaoo
Yh the warlock outfit is fire… but destiny 2 is so bad rn
10:45 you can also hear assassins creed revelations playing in the background
look at the top right of that particular scene
@@TheHiddenOne690 oh my bad i didnt see it lmao
This shows how iconic Ezio is
His outfit from brotherhood.
You deserve your flowers for the insane dedication to high quality content, both in the research and editing, but also in the consistency of which you upload. I truly hope your channel blows up sooner rather than later, this content is evergreen and it’s helped make my introduction into the franchise that much more fun to explore within the games.
Keep up the great content!
Thank you man! That honestly means a lot. You made my day with this comment
It's not Assassin's Creed, but in Ghost Recon Wildlands, Sam Fisher from Splintercell shows up and talks a bit about the nuke in Montana, tying them to the events of Farcry 5. Which means its also connected to the ubisoft universe.
You should make a video ranking the top 10 assassin’s in assassin’s creed of all time, not just using the protagonists of the series but characters like the statues we see after the under the villa Auditore and the rankings would by based on skill, impact on the assassin’s, and the problems they caused for the templars.
Urki is one of my favorite throw away characters in gaming. He shows up, fucks around, finds out, then just dips off. I was so happy to find him in my village. I gotta go replay fcp
2:40 if you listen very carefully right before either you or the marshal jumps off the book you can hear a faint eagle screech
You missed out the big Assassin's Brotherhood logo in the South West corner of the FarCry Primal Map... It's very prominent from the owl view and in the map too
This was really interesting! Gotta love the little nods to my favorite video game franchise for sure 😅
Nice video! In Slyrim there is a place called Bard Leap's Summit where you can perform a leap of faith.
Do you think you could make another video with the same idea reversed? I mean other games references in AC games.
Definitely!
"This is just an evil prank by ubisoft themselves" got me dead😂 2:15
I recently replayed Infamous 2 and loved seeing all of the references on the theater sign. It was one of my favorite childhood games so going back and getting the Platinum Trophy felt awesome.
I really found the references in Skull Girls. Which Valentine's skin is "Assassin's Greed" before in the game
16:22 to be fair, it was a very difficult and confusing mission. But it was also rewarding… I still use Zeidrich
8:11 It actually looks like arno's original outfit
Seeing Aiden in Assassins creed was so sick!! Didn’t know about that
i’m so happy i get to be the one to say this lmaooo im sorry
you forgot about the reference in r6, the creed symbol is on one of the maps and people have speculated for years if you look out far you can even see one on a building.
there are a few I wish I remembered the names of the games from the 360/ps3 Era to mention, but ezio was an obtainable character in afk arena.
redlynx (which I believe is a sub company of ubisoft) in one of their trials games, (either evolution or fusion) had a bonus track filled with assassins creed references.
another ubisoft title, ghost recon, one of the games you could unlock an assassins outfit.
those cover the ones off the top of my head that weren't listed in the video.
1:59 I did that leap of faith in Far Cry 6
Prince of persia makes sense because the game started from there when they gave up on making a second game for it
Vahalla had the best ac reference imo. They put AC Mirages main character in that game
I’ve got one that you’ve missed:
In World of Warcraft’s Dragonflight expansion there’s an activity you can do where you plant flags on mountain peaks. When you do so it triggers a short cutscene where your camera sweeps around the landscape as if you were synchronizing.
love the easter eggs
Spear of Leonidas is one of my favorite weapons in Valhalla
There’s also a leap of faith reference in Ghost Recon Wildlands at the top of Nidia Flores’ house
In far cry 3 Jason says "leap of faith" before jumping in a pond in the cave where the doctor sends you to find some mushrooms to save daisy
I actually played the FF15 event when it happened lol, I remember it being actually really fun. Though at the time my only experience with AC was watching UA-camrs play the first few games, so I didnt understand why there was a crossover and the outfits that referenced AC Origins. I was just happy to have new content for one of my favorite games. It sucks that you can't do any of the missions, I wished they made it a permanent thing especially once they dropped the final update/dlc. But im sure mods on PC can fix that
You cut the best part of urki's jump... when urki tells you that he is ready to "fly," in the background you can hear a version of Ezio's family then he jumps making the leap
there is some references to AC in The Crew 2
you can spot an assassin logo on the map from the sky
14:42 thats Ac Revelation's Hidden blade i think. Look at that hook below the blade.
I like AC Origins and the fact with (ubi+) u get the hunters fur. Which looks exactly like Takkar in Farcry Primal.
Either its just an easter egg or Bayeks ancestor is Takkar.
in The crew 2 when you ride a motorcycle and jump for more than 100 meters you get (on xbox at least) a success named "a leap of faith, without hay" and the image of said success is the logo of the assassins order
You should make an emotional scene teir list for the ac games
simple facts that tell you if fc, wd and ac are in the same universe: assasins are shown troughout multiple watch dogs games, in some ac games there are pictures of aiden pierce killing people of abstergo, in watch dogs 2 theres a cult called "church of the new dawn" which is also in farcry 5 and farcry new dawn
And in for honor latest update pecekeeper got a skin as ezio as for a few days ago
The father and son part in watch dogs reminds me of the time when my dad was watching me play AC3 and I had to explain to him how the hell Connor was able to do a leap of faith and survive landing in a pile of leaves 😂
There is also a suit in spiderman 2 that looks like the basic assassins creed outfit
Sunset overdrive has assassin robes as unlocksble outfit aswell
Could the fact you get Urki feathers also be a reference to them being rather infamous overworld collectables in II and Brotherhood?
I know its little and such but I did find another reference to assassins creed in far cry primal through the signia made of hay in the lower area of the main map and not in any of the other valleys
In Immortal Fenyx Rising, there flowers that shaped with the AC logo - underrated game -
I so hope for Ubisoft to return to an AC/WD crossover. The Watch Dogs setting just works so well with what a present-day setting should look like in modern AC titles.
But AC3 will forever remain GOATed in that regard, just watching Desmond tear through the Abstergo compound in... Italy, was it? Damn, I barely remember where that took place, fuck
I think that the leap of faith is too iconic so having a jump like that needs an eagle sound
you missed Jason's Leap of Faith in Far cry 3
he did that in early story of the Game
2:20 The leap of faith is called in German "der Todessprung"
There is actually one more game with assassin's creed in it and it's AFK Arena :D with Ezio being part of the roster of heroes
Could you do a video on the Corfu DLC for Odyssey it was so random and I feel completely lost?
r6 siege has an abstergo animus table in the nighthaven labs map
Story wise, I always thought that far cry was just a video game series made by abstergo. Especially since you see far cry merchandise in the abstergo building in black flag and rogue.
There is another one.
In Apex Legends, if you go to the firing and climb the huge mountain om the back of the map and to to third person and stay crouched on top of the flag, you will do a synchronyzation and theres even an eagle sound
Ghost Recon Wildlands not iust having Assassin's Creed pack but also a reference. There is a place in Nidia Flores house, there a tower with eagle and a haystack below it.
10:57 I feel this might not be Assassins Creed necessarily but the pheonix project as it would be weird to think a game linked with ac would have ac as a game.
In Styx shards of darkness, at the begining of the game, the character says something like, "I have to be careful, I dont have a conveniently placed hay stack at the bottom", and makes fun of the white tabard assassins wear lol
There are just too many overlapping ideas, events, and things between AC and WD to just chalk it up be easter eggs. They are absolutely without a doubt in the same universe.
3:28 You forgot to mention that the code in the document is 12/21/12, the day of the second disaster
Bro, do a comparison video on Assassin's creed unity VS Syndicate
Sick
I remember when I first played GTA IV and saw the "Assassin's Greed" trophy, I had to get it. Personally I'm surprised that CoD hasn't tried an Assassin's Creed crossover yet. As for SoulCalibur V... that was the one game in the franchise I didn't care for. Had it, but there's a long story on how I pre-ordered it and it got lost in the mail so I missed out on the note from the devs when I had to wait a month for them to send me one again due to some insurance BS. And the fact that it let me down in general, Ezio's appearance was the only saving grace.
AC II for me. If it weren't for that soundtrack I don't think the others would have such a great soundtrack, but still accept your choice. ;)
Even Fall guys and fortnite has assassin's Creed that's crazy
Uncharted 4 has a sequence where Nathan Drake climbs a clock tower, and if you wait a slow synchronise pan will happen
Did u know that in Watchdogs 1 is an AC3 game hidden in Jack's room?
1:29 Assassins creed shadow? and like, idk, the Urn could be from some eastern parts of assassins creed aswell
The Witcher one was so polite
I wish Mortal kombat would make a crossover with assassin's creed. Recent games had main protagonists in more mythical setting and much more of a warrior than an actual assassin. The video was awesome and love your content ❤
The creed continues
It,s so so good 🏆🙂🙏🏼
missed one more reference in Far Cry 3. At the end main protagonist goes for unwanted AC joining ceremony: amputation of finger
There is a map in rainbow six siege that has an animus and flores has an ezio elite skin
maybe you Forget in Far Cry 4 has Skeleton with Dress Red Coat wich mean it Reference of AC3 (Maybe)
Kingdom-Come Deliverance! There’s a quest where you infiltrate a monastery while searching for someone. If you accuse one of the characters there, they will say “that’s not true!” And your character says the famous; “nothing is true, everything is permitted”
Just letting you know you missed a reference in Middle-Earth:Shadow of War in the achievement of Everything is Permitted which you gain by shaming an Assassin until they become deranged
So far cry, watch dogs and ac play all in the same universe
Saints Row The Third also has a reference to Assassins Creed. The challenge name for doing the hitman sidemission is called "Everything is Permitted"
he didnt add in rainbow six seige in the night haven lab basement anamous and the elite skin for flores being altier
dude you forgot the reference in sunset overdrive 😊
9:19 Wait , is that Agent 47 ?
That’s what I’m saying!!!
There’s like 20 in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
FFXV'S reference is the best by far but its fucked that its not available anymore
106th view lessgooo
Great video
I have nothing else to say
Good day to you
Hey u missed uncharted 4 theres a assassins creed synchronization easter egg in uncharted 4
18:16
Assassins creed brotherhood got a answer to this trophy
(Grand Theft au trots) in French..
Grand Theft dressage in English ?
21:28 nuh its looks like ac revelations trailer
the souls games are not the soul calibur
theyre our miyazaki arts that took our sools a long time ago
You missed R6 Siege
I wouldn’t call that the “original Hitman” game. It was the remake or the reboot
Also a few other examples of non assasins creed games featuring assasins creed easter eggs and references would be Odyssey and Valhalla.
that ain't right
@@TheHiddenOne690 I respect your opinion. Congrats bdw.
09:32 Middle-earth Shadow of War has same
whats your opinion about fallout
How About FrEe FIrE!!!
There are no relations between ac and free fire
you missed assassins creed with monster hunter
Where is charles lee?
Villa from rainbow six sige
Free fire also collaborated with assasins creed
