This remaster looks fine, but a new Jedi Power Battle that goes through the first 6 movies would be awesome. The Star War Episode III game was definitely the peak of the movie based games for me.
When I was a kid I always dreamed of a Jedi Power Battles series that was like Gauntlet Legends with 4 player co-op going through movies and even other time periods in Star Wars!
You speak right from my Soul 🫶🏻 But optional both versions for choice! N64 with the comic panels and the PC-version with real computer generated cutscenes. S.o.t.E. , JEDI KNIGHT 1 and ROGUE SQUADRON! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Hope for it!
Based on the dreamcast version. Which came out about a year later than the ps1 version. It fixed bugs and made the platforming less of a nightmare. Graphics were also much improved
I have this on dreamcast and ps1. There's small differences. Dreamcast way better looking and a higher frame rate, better hit detection . There's minor changes to levels. The ps1 is alot more difficult. I think Mundi was also an exclusive character just for dreamcast ? Not positive tho.

Aspyr is just killing it! I used to have this game for my Sega Dreamcast and loved it! I recently got the PS1 game and and I don't know if it was the PS controller but the game felt more clunky than I remembered on my Dreamcast. This is another game that is an instant buy for me. Do we know if this will be based on the PS1 game or the Dreamcast game or since they are doing such a major overhaul, will it even matter?
The Dreamcast was more powerful than the PS1 (by a lot) so they would have started with that as a base and built up on it 🙂 It probably was better on that system. I played the PS1 version and its a big improvement over that 😎 Aspyr are killing it!! Ive covered their latest Tomb Raider 4-6 Remaster Announcement already Hahaha

Yeah that would have been sweet or at least lift the player count. Maybe back then 2 at once pushed things but I dare say our current machines can likely manage 4 players on the screen at once, lol
I hope that Plo-Kon and Adi Galiah are given the options to change the colors of their lightsabers. Plo can switch between yellow or blue while Adi can switch between crimson or blue. I seriously hope that they don't force us to just stay with the dam blue sabers.
I am surprised A few months ago, I bought the "Heritage Pack" physical for Switch (a cartridge with 7 games, and 5 complete games that you can plug and play) I was talking about this Pack with my friend, and he told me about Jedi Power Battles I said "Dude, I think they will bring it at some point" But I wasn't expecting it to be announce this year, lol I bet at some point we gonna have a Heritage Pack Part 2 Because we had the great remaster of Dark Forces and Bounty Hunter in 2024, with Jedi Power Battles coming in a few months

You cannot compare the Remasters to the PS1 version, and then go "WWOOAAH!", as that is almost effectively an entirely different game. And everyone who played it back then knows this. If you'd compare the remaster with the Dreamcast version, you'd come to notice how there's much more nuance in the differences and graphical upgrades. But alas, OP possibly isn't familiarized with this game...

You're looking at video compression artifacting. The game was never blurry, just lossless low rez. Anyways, one down side - audio quality seems to be lower than on PS1 version (noticeable whenever droids get sliced).
Its unclear with these remasters tbh. Like, it is coming to all consoles bit I don't know if that just means buying a cover with a download code inside or the actual Game? I hope theres physical
Objection! At 4:15, the remaster hasn't added color to the droids, it's just that the screenshot you've taken is of a pilot droid in the remaster, and a standard battle droid in the original. You can even see a pilot droid in the original in the screenshot you showed at 4:34. Great video, thanks for posting.

This looks like they just did exactly what the porting team did with the GTA "definitive" trilogy, threw it through an AI algorithm to clean it up, put it in 16:9 and called it good. It doesn't look bad but it looks rather lazy.
Compared to all their other Games, I would mostly agree actually. Seems like a straight forward HD upscale but also some smaller improvements as I address in the Vid. Thankfully, I just want to be able to play the Game again and this will let me. Also, they have added more characters : )

It's never too late to catch up on old Games and sometimes emulators are just not as good as some claim. There can often be strange warping and other strange artefact that happen. I'm just happy older Games in general are making a comeback. So much fun. No pay walls. No Micro transactions and you can unlock everything by just playing

They should remaster episode 3 revenge of the sith instead...the better game but i've been waiting for a Shadows of the Empire remaster since forever lol

The graphics look the same as the ones on the dreamcast. They could have made the textures and geometry better. Feels like a cheap port.
Compared to the other Remasters they have in the works, I would agree this has likely received the least amount of work.
I'm happy to simply have access to this and it does look nice ^__^
This looks like they just did exactly what the porting team did with the GTA "definitive" trilogy, threw it through an AI algorithm to clean it up, put it in 16:9 and called it good. It doesn't look bad but it looks rather lazy.
Compared to all their other Games, I would mostly agree actually.
Seems like a straight forward HD upscale but also some smaller improvements as I address in the Vid.
Thankfully, I just want to be able to play the Game again and this will let me.
Also, they have added more characters : )
It looks exactly like the dreamcast version. They did 0 work.

This is a dreamcast port, has nothing to do with ps1.

Doesn't really matter, the ps1 is the version 90% of us grew up playing. This is still the same game..

dude you're like comparing 2 different console versions of the same game, the PS1 had more destructible environment but the textures were low poly compared to the DC version

@@GamingMyWholeLife yeah me to bro...finally got my chance to beat Bounty Hunter a few months ago...All those great games that I missed because I'm a PC head, I finally got a chance to beat them without emulators
It's never too late to catch up on old Games and sometimes emulators are just not as good as some claim. There can often be strange warping and other strange artefact that happen.
I'm just happy older Games in general are making a comeback. So much fun. No pay walls. No Micro transactions and you can unlock everything by just playing
