If only the service for this game wasn't canceled. The game would have been the greatest Star Wars shooter ever if Dice was given free reign to do everything they wanted.
Personally I think it still is the best Star Wars multiplayer game, having prequel, original and sequel trilogy content is awesome. I’d be interested in what other people think is their best Star Wars multiplayer game.
For me, the original battlefront 2 is still my favorite. I’m pissed that they flopped the release of the classic collection. I’m glad it’s playable now 2 patches later but the damage is done and you’ll get in a game with at most 20 people.

EA's battlefront is polished, but don't have as many options as the original one which makes it then on par with og battlefront
at this point the only good star wars games that have been released recently are the Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor games.

@@Captain_Rex-7567 Battefront 2 was still a fantastic game even though they stopped updating it, the problem now is that if another developer try’s to make another battlefront it will have to try and match the amount of content we got with BF2 2017
@@brianmoyachiuz905 BF2042 is what happens when you copy monetisation from Call of duty/Warzone, battle passes and shop bundles, personally I preferred season passes/premium (also cosmetics that weren’t £16 per pack)
I was really happy to see Felucia added to the game even though that meant missing out on Coruscant because Felucia is such a unique and beautiful plant that desperately needed a modern recreation.
This honestly just makes me hate EA even more for canceling support. Dude, I don't understand why Battlefront is a cursed game. Maybe because the pressure is too much. But man if they let these devs get to work they can go crazy. There so much content in Star Wars it all works perfectly for videogames. I would love to see Padem, Jango, Ventress, and Ahsoka in this game. So much content the work is almost impossible to do

Imagine space to ground Ryloth. Maybe even in a new mode where we first have to destroy a Lucre-Hulk and then fight our way through a forest to a village that has been taken over by the droids
If only EA & Dice focused on making a solid game from the start, instead a game built around broken loot boxes and microtransactions that would eventually get patched out.
Why is this Dice’s fault? Last time I checked, Dice work for EA and have to fulfill every priority set by them. That’s why the original system had to be revamped because they were forced to screw this game up from the start.

Once again we were robbed from great characters, we never had a new dual wielder (apart from Grievous being a quad wielder) since Aayla Secura in og BF2

Ahsoka has been my favorite Star Wars character ever since I watched the Clone Wars. Possibly, the character with the most growth and screentime in the entire franchise.
I was also hoping we would get a new planet like Umbara or Utapau.

I’ll never forget how The ISB agent uses Ahsoka’s movements, down to the loading animation being a lightsaber twirl replaced with pistols.
I’m glad I have a PC now so I can enjoy the modded battlefront 2 experience. EA may have given up on battlefront, but the modders didn’t.
You can’t use mods online though which blows in terms of things like hero mods. Skins you can I think

Yea it was most likely an excuse, but there were a few episodes in the Clone wars where the Clones actually fought droids on Naboo, just not in Theed. So its less of a stretch than Umbara

so much passion was put into this game. the game failed at first and they just tried to make it better, meanwhile with BF2042 they seemed to have just given up. i wish EA could just understand that if they let DICE continue on BF2 even now, the game would bring them more money than 2042 did. EA should have paid attention to that passion, and understood that it would haev paid back.
I would love to see Ahsoka in the game would be pretty cool if they did not make battlefront 3 they could have just added heroes more maps mode in battlefront 2 if they didn’t stop life service

You talked about Coruscant:which is Ig they should've added since we got the CG Coruscant guard skins ingame both P-1 and P-2, and however when you mention the DC-15A on the second you show a pick of a DC-15 S which was the smaller version, the DC-15A was the bigger blaster. such as you see the Heavies using.
An order 66 survival mode was a missed opportunity. It’d be amazing.
I wish the rebels were given the same love and customization as the empire and first order. They have so many outfits that’d be good to mix with the heads. Especially the cut officer variants. But oh no people like the bad guys more so they didn’t consider adding that feature. People want to play snow and sand troopers anywhere then people want to be any rebel anywhere. Outfits for rebels are more specifically tailored and general for them compared to others. Just pisses me off a little bit.
The CEO of EA is so disconnected from reality and doesn’t know what the players want, I mean does he look like someone who actually plays video games?
Content I would I have liked if the dev team was bigger/game lasted longer:
Planets/Maps: Utapau, Jedi Temple (HvV), Palpatine’s Throne Room (HvV), Mimban (from Solo), Jedha, Lothal, Nevarro, Exegol (space, HvV, Supremacy)
Heroes+Villains: Ahsoka, Ventress, Padme, Cad Bane, Kanan, Grand Inquisitor, Mando, Moff Gideon
Skins: More alien heads, Republic Commando style Battledroids, and way too many Empire skins to list (Mud trooper, various combat driver skins, Navy Troopers, Range Trooper, shadow trooper, etc)
Since Dice cancelled it they should release the codes and other stuff so mods or another company makes it cuz all of us got screwed over by Dice

I don't really like the gameplay and physic of ragdols in Battlefront 2017, but I really enjoy plaing in my favourite clone wars era. I will always miss that what this games done what could change in future. I hope for some fan work battlefront or different point of view for a game to make it more accurate to shows.

Will never understand why they didn't add Mace especially when they did season of the Republic. To me Mace was tuly the only thing that felt missing from that game, well that and galactic conquest.

I love Dice and all their work for the Battlefront franchise, but their obsession with needing every trooper class and even heroes to be perfectly identifiable at all times from appearance alone in BF2 is so unnecessary and honestly just dumb for how much it seemingly limited certain things coming to the game.
Not having Rebel/Resistance alien heads between classes...because the weapons they carry and class uniforms aren't enough, no BF2015 heroes...because the symbol on the radar, the name tag when they kill enemies, the unique abilities they have, and them being unique Star Wars characters with distinct appearances isn't enough (I know there were other reasons mentioned for this one, but still).
Another thing about the classes, I don't think knowing what class you're fighting impacts player decision-making as much as they think. Usually, you're focused on killing the enemy player, your reflexes, your aim, all of that goes through my mind more so than "oh that's an Officer I sniped and that's a heavy" - I still aim for the head either way. The things that actually give away enemy classes are abilities and weapons. If I see a pistol or a turret, it's an officer, if I see a small personal shield and a minigun, it's a heavy, etc. And there's so many players in some matches that the combat is often too chaotic to try and counter a single player or class type, with some exceptions of course. It's frankly just over-design that wasn't necessary at all and took away elements of player expression/customization that would've been even better than what we got.
So they Cancelled Mustafar (that would be so cool with that Graphics) , Ashoka and Ventress as Heroes and other Fantastic Things for Battlefield? This reminds me what we could have got Ladies and Gentlemen,Battlefront 2 (EA) simply Wasted Potential in my opinion (but Still Playable and Fun).
This is why sometimes I love more Predator Hunting Grounds.

I blame the higher ups at EA for pulling the support plug on Battlefront 2. If it wasn’t for them doing that, we could’ve gotten so much more. But all the CEO of EA cares about is money and their dumb Battlefield series. Honestly, nobody gives a s**t about Battlefield anymore. Whoever that’ll work on Battlefront 3, it better be a big group with their higher ups that actually care about the game, and for the love of everything, it better not be EA that’ll work on it. not this rumour again of the ISB agent being repurposed, this is just plain untrue. yes, ahsoka was considered, no those are not her animations being repurposed. and also no, that is not padme's face being reused, that face model has existed since Battlefront 2015, they just modified it slightly and added a scar. the grievous voicelines show that they were considered at one point in time, but more than anything, those are just precautionary, they record them for the off-chance that they later add these heroes so they wouldnt have to go back and record more lines
Ah right I didn't know her face model was from battlefield. But The developer in this video did comment that he wasn't sure if the animations were reused but wouldn't be surprised if they were for the ISB agent.

Same, The Clone Wars literally saved the game and brought it up to the best position it had ever been in. And the best thing was that the devs loved making every bit of it.

Sucks there is so much hatred for this game cause of loot boxes. IMO the whole thing was overblown. The perks really aren’t that advantageous. You can wreck anyone with the worst perks who cares your grenade refreshing faster and slightly bigger explosion. Whatever. Great game bogged down by its publisher.
