- In this video I show you guys my old 67mm comp turbo blown up into pieces on my turbo lexus is30. I then replace it with a new turbo from drift motion, their 6262. The turbo swap was pretty straight forward, I just had to get wait on a few parts to get shipped. Since this video, the car has gotten a touch up on the tune, and is running good.

That drain is mint lol, you can have it anywhere from 11-1 and not worry a bit
Its close. And then it does a 45 right after it comes out of the turbo on the bottom. Still kinda sketch
RacecarAndChill was this manifold from drift motion?
@@Zmotts no, this is a no name Ebay manifold
Nice vid dude!
Thanks man! ❤
Who was here before the video premiered?!
Oh snap!!! Only the realest of fans!
Can’t wait for the next update Man.
Thanks man. I should have a video out by next week!
Lol blew my xr6 turbo last night haha big Bang and smoke everywhere . Looking at turbos now any recommendations
Depends on budget of course so many other things. But I would go with a journal bearing unit for sure. Borg has some good options.
😱🤢🤮 OMG BRO I don't know to say.that kinda makes me wanna stay n/a but that new turbo is sexy tho!
Haha it's all worth it in the end. 😉
Ohhhh NOOOOO! Bad day in Racecar Land! Hope for the best with potential metal in the oil! :(
But wait! Theres more! 😅
@@RacecarAndChill ummmm uh oh
@@LucoreAuto it's not that bad! Haha but the car is definitely taken apart right now waiting on more parts
@@RacecarAndChill well that happens, an excuse for more upgrades!
Super hot!?? It's December bro how is it hot? This videoust be 3 or 4 months old...
yeah its from back in August... life has been crazy man. haha
How do you like the response on the 6262 can you crack 600whp on e85? What wheel and size are those?
The 6262 is better than the 67 I blew up, but it's still a bit laggy. I run 15 psi on pump 91 making mid 400's. On e85, it should be able to make 600 though. Currently I have 255 18's on it, but I bet I can fit 265 if I raise it a bit. With a sticky tire, traction isnt really an issue anymore. It was very bad with 225's though.
Are those rpf1? If so what is the width and offset? Sounds about right on the power, is the 6262 a ball bearing turbo?
@@Brinks84 yea, rpf1's 18x9+35 in the front and 18x9.5 +45 in the rear. Fenders are shaved a bit then rolled.
@@Brinks84 and I believe it's a journal bearing turbo. I have a feeling I'll be replacing this one soon too. I really want something super small that will spool super fast. I dont plan on making much more power any time soon. I want to road race the car at it's current power level.
Looking to turbo my is300, it has 199k but recently had a head/valve job and timing chain and Thermostat.
Do you think I'd grenade it?
Definitely. What are your goals? Stock engines can hold maybe 8 psi and only if you spend a lot on a good ecu.
@@RacecarAndChill looking for 400whp tops, just a sporty daily to hurt some feelings, got a drag rig for extra fast stuff
@@lb4899 I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 400 isnt gonna happen on a stock motor. You're gonna need to swap out pistons and rods to hold more. The stock internals are good for 8 psi, about 350hp on a healthy motor.
