HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, and to you, too, Evan, since you make it all possible for the generations to BE dads!! LOLOL!
Seeing this video makes me miss my dad all over again! WE just lost him on the first of this month. I was doing well, until I watched you & your dad spending quality time together. Enjoy the time you have with pops! I had planned to go fishing with dad this weekend, prior to him leaving us.
Thanks Dan seeing the path flattened gave a real sense of satisfaction on top of the days gold high banking an panning. All you needed to end the day was a quick BBQ and a Beer an to just Relax contented.Happy Fathers Day to you Both
You have to be one of the nicest people on UA-cam. Always great to see a new video when they Come out and see some nice gold along the way. Keep up the great work and great videos.
I'm 66. My Dad passed about 5 years ago. Well, the other day I was was wondering how they get mercury. My Dad knew practically Everything! Especially about metals. I was going to to call him and . . . . oh, yeah. I guess I had to google it. He's probably smiling down at me from heaven!
My son and I went prospecting for the first time on Fathers Day 2020. My son actually found a piece of wire gold. Plus we got more flood gold. I just started watching your videos early this and I've learned alot. Thanks Dan
GLAD YOU CAN DO LIGHT-ISH WORK. When you said you had to reduce your work I felt sad. I have a bum knee and I know how slowing down feels. Dan, thanks so much for your videos. It is nice seeing you work together again. I like seeing your dad on the claims or crushing rocks.
Dan I love the fact you are so unpretentious. It's easy to relate to somebody who is such a regular everyday person. I live a long ways from gold country so I can't do this in my spare time, but it's fun to learn enough that I can give it a shot when I take a trip out west.
First! Thank you Dan you have encouraged me to buy my first gold pan! And the wife and I are taking a trip to the mountains today to go playing in a river
You have to be the most cheerful and genuinely happy person on UA-cam, it's infectious. You've definitely earned my subscription, keep up the great content 🙏😁
Dan Hurd because of you and Pauly aswell as Klesh i have stripped wire copper enough to buy a royal folding sluice me my uncle and my family friend have now in my hand 40 small pickers
That was really cool to watch. I always enjoy watching your projects on a weekend morning when there’s no rush to do anything else. Thanks Dan, Doug and Evan!
Awesome video such a beautiful place and your set yup best of all the family with you that’s a lot of gold awesome making the pathway nicer to walk on awesome thank you
I wish I could remember the river near me,when I saw a lot of fine yellow granules(fine)+ I turned to ask my father was it gold and he said it was fools gold. Am going back over thirty years, but I’ve been trying hard to remember the location. Funny thing is,it’s not far away .decided to narrow it down to two places.oh,how I wish I was fit enough to go look. You have an excellent channel with awesome content dan ...👍👏🏻👏🏻
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun for Father's Day. And you got some gold that's awesome nice video thanks Dan look forward to your next. PS I sent you a comment a while ago that I had a knock off Garrett pan. After looking at it more closely it's not a knock off it's just a pan. I will be getting a Garrett super sluice in the near future. Peace and have fun
treeplanter here, seeing the canadian shield every day, had me on the look out, i would often come across a claim, an im willing to bet you knew about the MINE project in northern ontario, the group of prospectors using gps to spell out "MINE" in claims.
Dan, i've been saying this for years. Back in the 70's a presenter named Alan Wicker did a program called Wickers World. In one program he interviewed an couple who had moved to Australia, He was an executive and she was a housewife, kids had grown up and moved on, the massive area they purchased included an old gold mine, her hobby became Prospecting the talking piles, loads of them for hundreds of yards, her pocket money from that was from 250 - 500 k per year.
Hey Dan, have you ever thought of throwing a set of small hydraulic riffles on the front of your high banker when running at the river? It's supposed to help push out a lot more of the garnets so you catch more of just gold at the head of the box. ...at least according to Tony on Gold Rush :P
Standards change: When I worked at Western Electric (1980-1982), I saw 'low-noise' PCB's made on ceramic substrates with gold! Instead of copper, gold over silver. Silver for its electrical properties, gold to passivate the silver. Silver was plated on ceramic base; about 150 microns of Ag, topped with 50 microns of Au. The typical PCB was about 15 square inches... Strange PCB pattern; instead of thin traces, the space between traces was very thin. Instead of solder, a eutectic gold brazing alloy was used to mount the parts. Rather than etch the PCB's, they were milled to make insulting gaps. CNC having its way with the poor thing... Bins and bins of these things went out to the smelter. I heard rumors of some walking out the other door.
Dan I love when you have your dad and son and family with you ! I also love the gold you find lolo, god bless! How do I support you please explain to me ? Hugs Patricia hugs for all your family!
DAN, thats the problem with having a bad heart, i should know after 4 massive heart attacks im not able to move about as i used to , dont feel bad about the gold you got thats a weeks or so of gold where i am able to get to,, oh how good it was to see some of the youngsters out doing something other than sitting on the couch with them new fangeled gadgets thats stuck in their hands now days, sorry to ramble on looks yas had fun eh
Hi Dan, I was reading one time about a way to convert the gold sulphides found in your blacksand concentrates into gold chlorides so they can be recovered, it said something about soaking the blacksand in vinegar, then let it dry and mix a lot of table salt in it, then bake it on a campfire in a Dutch oven, and pan it down, do you know anything about this?
Dan, just wanted to say that I always save your videos for last, simply because they make me feel good. :) Thank you for what you do, and I hope you enjoy it all as much as we do! Hugs and hope you get your valve fixed soon....

Fascinating! How do you separate that microscopic gold out from the other stuff?
keep it coming Dan..!
Love your channel Dan, keep doing your thing!
Thanks! Will do!
I just bought a lot with 2 acres of tailings piled 3 stories I think. From an old mine on my other parcel. Just got my detector. Gonna be fun I think.
Nice shirt! I got that one when I was out in Barkerville last summer

are shaker tables not usable in your area?
wouldnt it be a good idea to put the tailings into a pond and add electricity to speed up the rusting?
How are you feeling Dan! Hope the valve issues are stabilizing!
I get tired easily but other than that, doing well
Thanks for another great video
I hope so too!

Hello Dan, was wondering where I could get a mini rock crusher like yours or do you have any info on where to get a decent one?
link in description of my video for Kellyco, they have good rock crushers
Nice recovery.
so, you re-ran past tailings, did you check the new batch of tailings at any point?
Hope dad heals fast!
thx to film my dream Dan !

Does your dad stay at the cabin year-round or just for the summer?

It may work in the right situation with the right concentrations of gold in sulfides. But smelting is the more widely used approch.
Who makes that big tub?
Thumbs up and comment from me .
Im ready for an adventure with you and the guy's.
