I FOUND $40,000 IN GEMSTONES 3 HOURS!!

- Опубліковано 8 сер 2020
- Took another trip back to the Ocean Picture Stone Quarry and collected almost 1000 lbs of the most beautiful gem stone. We have found that many lapidary artist and jewelers want this stone for making sculptures and jewelry. And are willing to pay for it. So at last after so many years of prospecting I finally get a big payday. It takes a lot of work and a lot of time to sell this material, but the collecting sure is fun!

I would love to watch your videos but about 2 minutes in - I was sick.
Please get a son to film for you, steadily.
@@dontwanadisplaynameonutube2951 Why should he have to change his entire filming process when you could simply take some Dramamine....?! I have massive motion sickness, but would never privilege myself to the extent of telling someone to redo their entire way of production.... geez.... go spend a few bucks and do what a civilized person would do and help yourself instead of expecting others to bend for you. Ridiculous. *takes Dramamine and continues binge watching* 👀 some people's kids.... ugh
@@stephaniemarchant4644 Pretty ignorant comment. Considering mine was constructive criticism and was to help him reach wider audience. I've never had motion sickness in my life, I can only assume the medication your suggesting random people to take with no medical insight on a stranger is an otc medicine for motion sickness. Regardless, It was unbearable to watch, mostly giving me a headache. He could also use a camera mount, even a body one. If he cant simply ask his son to hold the camera since he's there anyway. But he's literally drilling with 1 hand, and filming with the other. Entire way of production you say? like increasing the viewing audience and producing better quality videos would be soooo detrimental for him. Regardless of the method pursued. Albeit extremely simple to get much better quality. You seem like your simping hard for this dude, and attack anybody who says anything negative, and you criticize me for suggesting changes that would help him, but also tell me what I should be doing. Again, Pretty ignorant.
Now sell it all in 3 hours and video it. That would actually be impressive.

Hey dan my names Jon and I want to say thank you. I had a crappy childhood my parents tried to kill me and then went to jail (long story) I decided to enlist in the marine Corp as soon as I was old enough and spent a few years over seas. when I got back I had PTSD and developed a drug problem went down the road for a while ended up homeless and stuff. I finally pull my head out of my a×× and got my stuff together and I had really became content on just getting by. For some reason though watching your videos really woke up a rockhounding hobby in me that has brought a lot of joy to my life even though ive just started
Just wanted to say thank you
Jonathan griffiths thank you for sharing this. You deserve to experience the beauty and joy in life as much as anybody else. Thanks for your service, and I’m sorry for your misfortunes. Wishing you luck and peace from KY.
Not tryna be an asshole but this kinda sounds like a sob story
Check out Tony Robbins on yt and read some self help books! Theyve helped catapult my life in a positive direction.
When you find something you really enjoy you will never have to "work" another day in your life. I'm a pyromaniac. I discovered welding early in life. Been happy ever since.
What kind of rock is that
Would love to see the whole process of this. A video where you're taking it to either a jewelry company or a middleperson or whatever that tries to buy the raw minerals/gems from you. I think would be really cool to watch.
But then someone else would know how to do what he’s doing, selling things is usually the hardest part when doing things like this
I love that you're doing this as a family, looks like so much fun. Great way to enjoy nature and family bonding too.
"I hope to earn your subscription today" Such a refreshing thing to hear from a content creator... Even though this isn't my cup of tea, I feel like that convinces me more than anything else.
Exactly

I subbed immediately after that.
it did it for me lol
Much better than "And don't forget to like and subscribe!" before the fucking video even started...
I know nothing about rocks, I've never seen this channel before, but oh my god his excitment and passion just makes me love this so much!

I mean he said he made $40k in stone. I'd be passionate too lol.

At the 10:14 mark you see exactly how genuine Dan is whilst reflecting upon his family. As a father of two boys, this speaks to me. I’m thankful to have found your page.
It makes me think that you can be literally walking past valuable minerals not knowing. I may have missed so much on my expeditions. Well done man. Well deserved.
the fact that this absolute magical blue mineral is just sitting there... nature is so beautiful
Who wants to go dig after watching this

YES
I wish. Minnesota doesn't have the geology for it almost anywhere in the state.

What state can I mine this stone in
Congrats Dan, that's a really nice find. It looks like you've got enough there to keep you out of trouble for quite a while.
But what's even better is you've got a good boy who is happy to be by your side, a wife that supports what you're doing, and you live in a place where there is beauty everywhere you look.
It sounds to me like you're rich already. 🙏🏼✌🏻

I was already into learning about minerals and gems (all sorts of rocks) when I was a kid. We had a few books about them and my brother and I collected. I'm not sure why we never stuck with it, but I'd like to collect again. You've "unearthed" something within me. Thanks for the renewal. Journey ever onward and keep a keen eye.

Really enjoy tagging along on your adventures. Keep doing what you're doing Dan! Nice to see genuinely decent folks like yourself out there with great quality and content.
I just found your channel June 2021. I’ve been a rock hound for over 40 yrs. Sadly, my entire collection was stolen years ago and I literally fell into deep depression. I’ve just collected minerals for the sheer joy of owning a piece of “God’s nature art”; and I get true joy from gazing upon their beauty. Thanks for your videos. I’ll subscribe and live vicariously thru you!. ❤️💜
I hope you one day build back up your collection even greater than it once was
i’m so sorry about your rocks :( but the earth is ancient and there will always be more beautiful stones to be treasured :)) so keep collecting!!
I relate :/. Good luck to you.
For some reason i cried reading your post, I'm sorry that happened, I too went into a deep depression at one point and I know how you must have felt. Hope your doing good now.
If i ever lose any of my rocks im hunting down like john wick
I'd like to see the finished pieces after they're sold. Do you have a good enough relationship with any of your buyers so that they would be willing to let you record them cutting, shaping, and polishing the rocks into the finished product?
That would be interesting to see, as well.
I would be interested in seeing that as well. Maybe trade some minerals for the video win/win.
This would be awesome, please make a video on this !
check out his website, he has a few items there
Nothing finished though. Would be nice to get some etsy artists into turning out ready to wear bling stuff.
He literally has a pinned comment at the top of this comment thread with a link to his site where you can see the auctions and photos of the finished items.
what an amazing and fascinating life , wholesome that your family is out with you also. Its great to see people who live their passion everyday and can support their families off the back of it.
New subscriber, I have no idea how I came across your channel but I’m sure glad I did. The first video I watched you were out looking for Jade. I absolutely adore how much you love being with your family, and how much they adore being with you. Your patience with Evan just your laid-back demeanor and your enthusiasm is contagious. I’m so happy to watch you do what you love . I look forward to watching all of your videos . I hope to eventually find where you list some of your jewelry that you have for sale . Right now I’m just enjoying binge watching your videos !! 🌺💜 Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your beautiful family .

I love the beauty in nature, and I love seeing your children out in the mountains with you… learning specimens of rocks and minerals! Thanks, Dan Hurd Prospecting! You are one of my top 3 favorite youtubers out there and as a fellow rock hound, this speaks to me and makes me feel like I am not alone out there.
This has inspired me to just get out in nature more and be more observant of what’s around me.
Totally ! He finds such nice minerals, gems and gold . I want to be doing the same thing . Its out there, just a matter of looking
I would never sleep knowing there's so many more rocks to harvest!!!
I would take what I needed, and leave the rest for more hunters. We can all eat guys!
Bigsqueeze 777 lol why would that be any different? There are more hauls to be found! I’d do it for the stones not the money. Money is literally printed on demand. And not hard to get.
My wife would do the same thing, not sleep lol!
It looks like there was a gate on the property, and it was a fairly obscure location. Given the fact that other prospectors clearly did drill holes to check for mineralization and passed up the gem values, It's probably fairly safe. Probably a good idea to harvest as much as you can in a season and stock it up in storage, but most of the values on this earth remain the ground because it takes hard work to know it and get it.
Dan, you are living my dream. Out there with your family, enjoying life, playing in the dirt collecting rocks.. keep having a good time with your family!
