We have just started on our addiction with the lovely yellow and most of what I have learned has come from this channel. All I can say is Vo-Gus is a legend in my opinion.
At the 10 second mark, I know the comment was for me and every Canadian following you! Thank you!! Love your work!! I can't imagine how sore you are after a day out on a creek. Wishing you dozens of kilos of gold in your future!!
Thanks I'm 74 and 'past it' but I would love to get out panning creeks again. I know it's hard work but if you love being outside and the bush as I do the fun is in the chase. I detected in WA and came up with 3 nuggets, 7, 5 and 3g each and was totally stoked especially the bigger one as I was sure it was another bullet but straight into the mouth and gold it was !! Thanks love your style, and to a mug like me great tips. Done a fair bit of panning around Sophala and often came up with specks. It's funny because as your doing the last swirls I found myself getting closer to the screen!! Take care.
I can't say this about any of the people from other countries who are watching and not hitting the like button, but where I'm from, I'd say there can be only two reasons, the people in America, which is where I'm from, either have attention deficit disorder (ADD) and at this time are all out of their ADD meds and lost focus, or, they're older viewer's and have an extremely short term memory, and they either lose focus before hitting the like button that they had good intentions of hitting but just forgot to hit like before moving on to another video, because every single one of Chris' videos should have as many likes as there are views, and his videos should also be recommended by the algorithm a lot more than any other gold prospecting content creators on UA-cam. ❤

Great video Chris! I think I'm soon ready to go out and start panning some local creeks. Going to take my 12 year old grandson along, I think he will like the adventure!
Nice indeed hello from NSW remote rural AU. Opal miner here never got the gold fever know a few people even here that take three months off each year in summer to chase gold.
Chris, I use the fine riffles of the pan to separate the black sand from the blonds. Tilt the pan whilst gently shaking side to side and the friction of the fine riffles holds the black sand. Oh and the gold. Makes the concentrated more manageable with just the black sand and only takes a few seconds to do.
Chris ! Love your videos. Can you do a video somewhere where their might be less gold and show us how to find gold. I live in california and some places have lots of flower gold. It's not as abmount. Where you live seems like a easier or ideal place to find more gold. Keep up the hard work looking forward to next video
Thanks for your tips mate. You've inspired me. Got a cheap sluice kit "Vevor" 50", just for fun! Can u suggest a detector that is effective for around 3-4 grand? Or not worth buying at this price point?
At that price point you have a lot of options for gold detectors. The SDC2300. A second hand gpx4500 or 5000. The garret axiom. The new nokta PI machine is ment to.be really good
Oh come on people he has over 800 views and only 155 thumbs up he's teaching you how to find gold and where to look I've listened to him before and I found gold😂

1130 s7nday night n im just getting on my phone lol not for anyth8ng other than my sunday vid drops lol cheers ledgend another great vid. Now off to see what Gadzee posted today lol you guys rock
Actually surprised you found any gold in those first areas that creek In flood has to get stripped clear to bedrock lol us as the flood waters recede velocity will drop a little and deposit small amounts very rarely do I see you or gadzee hitting higher banks away from the water your usually in the creek itself but there are great deposits in higher banks can you do a video on that? 😬 may take you a while to find a decent deposit as your not used to looking up there, the easiest way is the trenching method just look for the heavy tin streaks in the trench they will usually be not as compact as the surrounding dirt. Because once all the creek deposits are mined you might as well right? Great informative video thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼
Man, I wish this kind of weather. Over here in Poland it's 32 degrees in shade. During summer I take a break, because my multiple sclerosis doesn't like heat 😵💫...
Panning maybe involved in the crushing process, but it is called a prospectors pan for a reason. Panning isn’t actually mining, it’s meant to be used to find an area where gold is then follow the gold to the vein. Collecting dust is not really mining at all. It’s just a stepping stone to finding the lode
Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't a big part of it finding somewhere that hasn't already been cleaned out? I appreciate the erosion helps there, providing the erosion isn't of stuff left behind by a previous generation of panners.
Bro you always teach really well and in 98% cases you are correct but bro you should mod your comment on the black sands size etc because it' might be like that down there and it is 100% but up in nsw it's not always that way more is it down there it comes down to erosion and minerals and velocity ww have areas up here that the high-flown pushes the larger iron stone up higher iv pulled pickas out of mega fine black sands on the bends it can vary because of the width of that bend and it can change if it has a straight befor and after it then stuff won't settle but lol you know this I take it you got more bids coming ay bro p.s last part of vid was sick legend but lol up here and down there we can't under cut those banks no more some of my best alluvial been on edges that were eroded under neath and had lovely juicy false floors and that's another thing on the edges with bedrock there's a lot more decay I'll leave you to explain decomposition brother tag your it 😂😂😂😂. Got me thinking vid or two ago about washing detergent allowing gold to drop easier, next mass flood iam going top with heaps of washing detergent, turn the creek to massive bubble slide
So Chris , thought you were planning a smelting video of this when the 100 bucket challenge was over. Are you still planning one? or has that changed. I'm really curious of the actual total weight after all the impurities are removed.
Chris, do you have Telluride in your area? It's a b¡+ch trying to separate gold, silver & bismuth, & sometimes in the field to recognize platinoids from them
Well the title said number one mistake. Ive found a little gold in my time, the biggest mistake is believing that a panfull of gravel off the top is an indicator of the presence of gold. A panful off the bedrock, 3 ft down is a much better indicator.

Good one bro. Some good tips there and explained well nicevand clearly. . My only issue is just that like when you're showing the inside bend.... well i was always taught that you should envision it as it would be when its in heavy flood. Not how you see it when its low. Because thats when most of the gold moves and is deposited. Not when its just trickling along. So would that little inside bend youre looking at now by following that low flow even be there ir be an inside bend in a flood season? Hed tell me thats one reason its trickier or different trying to read small creeks and gullies compared to bigger rivers with larger more defined boundaries. Anyway just a thoughtm

It's a long story and I somewhat agree with you. But side to side motions over the rifles opens you to loss. I'll make a video on it.
