Thanks for taking me out to the woods Dan, The sound of the river is awesome and relaxing. I work at a power plant and am considered an Essential employee keeping the lights on and haven't been able to get out much due to the Covid-19 stay at home thing so its just travel to and from work for me right now.

Wow, gold AND platinum....and a whole family of gingers! Fantastic! ( This is the first time I've seen your family, I'm sort of new around here, I really think it's fantastic! )
8:47 in the moment you said ``there is no black sand on this spot.....`` at the same moment i wanted to say watch your back-the other side of the river!
Yup... Just to be there along such a beautiful stream, is pure gold! I'd love to just set up a camp for a couple days... Maybe wet a line for a trout or some other fish for a nice dinner over the campfire, a pot of boiled coffee, and some good company... Well, it's back to the grinder for me tomorrow. But thanks for the nice daydream...
I noticed the sam thing, and then saw this on the first previous comment, I hadn't even finished watching the video yet... LOL Probably an optical illusion, I saw another really high much larger area that also looked very dark like black sand later in the video. I was thinking the sand we saw could be a tailings of concentrates from previous miners....

In Virginia city, they were throwing all the clay out, tons and tons of this clay, and not finding but traces of gold, then they found that because of liquefaction caused by volcanic and geologic events the gold had mixed in to the mud. And when they found out, they had extracted thousands of dollars worth of gold in the mud and sent it as fill. Almost missing it all
I can't believe how breath taken beautiful that place is. I get so jealous when ever I watch your video's. You have a lovely family, treasure those times with them.

Wow, this view of the river that follows the water as it foams and bubbles away in the distance, just great. There is no need for gold, this nature gives so much more. Thanks for the wonderful nature shots 😇and also for the view of various candies💫☘️🤩
I miss my kids being that age. They loved prospecting and just being in the woods. Had them carry my saw jugs around when I was felling timber and after work we'd prospect the local streams.found a fair bit of gold, platinum and old lead bullets and a lot of fun. By the way, I love finding wire gold, I don't know why, but I've saved every piece of wire gold I've ever found. I'm up to about four ounces now.
@@caiden-_- Im sorry. My advice is ask and keep asking. It's not unreasonable to ask your parents to take you camping now and then and let them know you want to go deep woods. Tell them you're interested in gold panning. There is gold in the glacial till that was pushed down out of Canada during the last ice age. You don't have to have an expensive pan, that would be nice but I learned when I was a very small child on an old steel pan, but just a cheap black plastic pan will work good for starting out and for that matter, I still have and use a couple a them. Once you find a place with some gold in it then you can think about upgrading. BTW, there's a lot of gold in the great lakes. Either Superior or Michigan I think. And those lakes have lots of gold the blows up on the beaches during heavy storms. I have one last piece of mind for you. There are lots of minerals that one could. Mistake for gold, but let me tell you, when you first got gold in your pan you'll know it. Once you see it it'll be obvious. Remember that it's down in the corner of the pan with the heavys. Mica will be one of the lightest things in your pan and therefore will want to stay above the black sand layer and will learn out first. Good luck kiddo and I apologize for not getting back to you for so long. I just never look at my old comments. Im glad I went back this time. Check out some channels the pan gold from the midwest. I know that they are there. Again, good luck

Very much enjoyed. Thanks for the education along the way too. When the cliffside came down, it would have completely blocked the river. The buildup of water behind would have happened and those campers would have been at risk of either being caught in the backwater or at risk for flooding once it burst. THanks.
Boy oh boy Dan, that claim sure is beautiful... but you seem to be having a heck of a time finding the Gold that you find on your other claims, that you've paid much less for. When a person buys a claim , how long is the claim yours.
This usually dependant on local ( provincial legislation) but as long as you are actively working the claim it’s yours.
In BC you often pay for a claim once, and as long as you can show workings on it, it's yours. I can't recall if there's a yearly fee or not.
If you dont work it enough. There`s a yearly fee depending on size.

Dan it was good to see the family
It was nice to have them along!
So glad you finally found gold Dan, I was getting worried. Looking forward to hearing if that was platinum too. Really enjoyed the video, just wait until you are there on a bright summer day. Enjoy and stay safe!
Thanks
Hi Dan ,Thanks for the great video. Nice find and I hope it gets you rich, I would look for a simpler trail down to the river myself.
I think your call about that crack bein worked before was a very good hunch. A good clean up of higrader garbage.. Good looking water. It'll be most interesting to know the metulurgical composition of those silvery pieces. Platinum is one of the markers for meteroric deposition which I strongly suspect happened in northern B.C. a while back.
Dan I really have high hopes for you brother. And its its always good to see you with your family.
Thanks!
