I owned the game as a kid, I always had that feeling that it was a completely different game hastily reskinned as a mighty max game. The random extra characters you can play as, the "why the fuck was this even added in the game" monsters like the penguin. A lot of the art style is very cute, while Mighty Max itself was pretty gritty.
I know that Mighty Max is a horrible game, alright. I can see that. But I just cry a little on the inside when I see someone take a table saw to a video game like that.
