I made my 1st ever baklava for New Years.. I never had it before and it was such an amazing pastry.. y didn’t add cloves or orange only cinnamon and lemon.. amazing pastry .. I’ll make it every year from now on.. The only problem I had was finishing the top 10 layers of the pastry .. my dough sheets for the top were not the perfect ones like I used in the middle so next time I’ll save some perfect sheets for the top layer....other than that it was perfect amazing delicious pastry .. I can’t believe I made it actually..thank you for this idea ...I’ll make this version... Question.. can I freeze it? Then defrost in fridge an eat? Do you know about longer storage?. Thank you for your time.. ...
Could I use the pistachios inside the pastry? Also im new trying to make baklavas, which is easiest to make the roll type or the square? Thanks I love your tutorials

No I never mix the walnuts with sugar. Keep the sugar for the syrup only! Enjoy ☺️
