I keep recommending my friends 'to stock up on truth'. They look at me with glazed eyes and a blank expression...
I have a feeling we will have a shortage of truth in the future, don't forget toilet paper too!!
Truth cannot be destroyed, by definition of natural law, that is what makes something true. Everybody can choose not to believe in it, or it can be hidden and obfuscated even for centuries, but truth cannot be destroyed.
Right now people willingly choose not to seek truth, but in the future their instinct and metabolism will require the truth, but it will be hidden and unavailable for them...
So please study natural law and stock up on truth!

I agree with the Federal HST. My carry in .45 for years. But as you said, there are a lot of good carry ammo out there from a lot of different manufacturers. When it gets down to .380, I prefer the extreme defense, (Screwdriver bullets). And yes, number one in any carry ammo is function. If it doesn't work, it isn't as good as ball ammo.

I had the Remington Golden Saber 10gr in my 380 S&W Bodyguard. But I just changed it out with American Eagle 95gr FMJ the other day. I got my 1st revolver at age 12. It was a used $20 RG 22 snub nose. I carried that gun everywhere I went around our small farm in the 70's. I'm almost 60 now- and I've carried every since then. Almost every type of handgun and calibers and bullet types. I'm 6 years prior service. FMJ was what we carried in all of our weapons. I felt ok using those rounds, and I honestly still feel ok with FMJ and round nose lead. I know that attitude isn't popular now, but that is just how I am. I do carry hollow points too. I've got ammo cans full of the latest and greatest rounds that are now looked down on. I honestly like the reliability and cost of the non-hollow points. I personally think "over penetration" is way over worried about. I guess like most guys, I constantly change my mind on what to load up with. But reliability is my first concern. I have to have a bullet- gun combo that I trust. I have lost sleep when I've had malfunctions. I have to totally trust my carry gun and ammo.

Much along the lines of the also liked 'Rifleman', each episode was based on lifetime lessons, morals, integrity, honesty. Paladin was ahead of his time and Richard Boone was truly an inspirational actor for a kid like me. I'm not sure he realized just how important his impact was on his audience! I think it was significant and while he has passed on, I only wish that while he was here that he knew the big impact he had on his audience and his role as Paladin. My favorite The Rifleman quotation is "Sweat's a lot easier to come by than money." I'm sure it's from somewhere else, but The Rifleman is where I heard it and it's stuck with me since then. Good video, love the format.

Thanks for this video. I'm one of those demented fans who watched all of your talking only videos. I have not tried Speer Gold Dots but use Silver Tips for my Beretta 3032, HST for my 9mm guns, and Golden Sabers for my S&W 638. Too many excellent choices today, akin to beer and coffee. LOTS of good choices, we are spoiled to live in this country (in the free state of PA) and have this great variety of guns and ammo to choose from.

Now that I am an old guy, 77 on my next birthday, it seems that the young people don't care to hear stories from my past. They are either on their cell phone, or playing video games. I have hopes that one day people will learn from others mistakes, but it's doubtful.

Cell phones can be beneficial, but they are also a cancer eating away at our society. I remember when the kitchen table was the center of activities in in the average home where people actually gathered to talk to each other. Long gone are the days of lengthy and valuable conversation and the evidence of that loss is staggering.....

I was pleased to find that the Hornady Custom +P .200 gn XTP .45 ACP load ran exactly the same through my Oehler - 1060 fps - as my pet handload with 7.0 grains of Unique.
GOOD load, btw. I like the 185 grain Cor-Bon, too...it's got more energy, but it's got some distracting muzzle flash like a hot 125 grain .357 in a short barrel.

I carried a Taurus G2S for almost five years. I was not much into spending money on firearms, and it worked through all of my training and practice, until one day it didn't. The trigger failed. That was all it took for me to get a different CC gun. Now, many dollars later, I have a wide rotation of carry guns. If ANY of them fail when I am practicing or training, and it's the gun's fault, I mothball it. A carry gun needs to work 100% of the time, no exceptions.

OLD COP 18 is right, Ret. L. E. as well, I agree ,S&W "J" frame 442/642/ or 340 PD Hammerless revolvers WILL SAVE YOUR LIVE ! Able to fire them from coat pockets or hooded sweat shirts with kangaroo pocket in front. 5 shot 442/ 642 .38 spcl. revolvers are very light in weight, 15oz. empty and work great ,when needed ! Women can easily fire these and carry as well in a purse, they can be fired from inside a purse too.
Semi auto are great too, however they cannot do what these little revolvers can with respect to firing them from inside a garment !

On your 44 mag vs 44-40. The bullet siize on the 44mag is .429 or .430. The 44-40 is .427. The case of the 44-40 is a bottleneck case where the neck is smaller than the 44 mag but the base is larger than the 44 mag.
The 44 mag may fit in the 44-40 but the pressure would be too much for a 44-40 firearm. I doubt the 44-40 probably fit the 44 mag.

been watching this channel since i was 14 i am 24 now and can legally carry and have tested tested and tested again and you sir have the best take i have ever seen on ammo and as a result i shoot any quality ammo out of any quality gun but prefer federal holopoints and if i can find em the "low recoil" hydra shoks are tried and true out of every gun i shoot for example out of my 5 inch or 4.25 inch 1911 those holopoints are standard powder but only 165 grain projectile so it brings your 45 acp velocity right around slow 9mm rounds about 1000fps and for my short 9mms like the hellcat pro i use the 135 grain 9mm version if i can find it and it pushes closer to 1100 but they perform perfectly and imo shoot a little softer than standard fmjs even tho most people "dont notice a difference" because they shoot 1 round every 30 seconds in my testing i could draw and fire standard fmjs into about a 4 inch group rapidly in aboout 10 seconds total for a full 8 rounds out of 1911 and then the low recoil hyrdas same distance draw speed etc closed up the group to around 2 inch, the 9mm was less noticeable about 4inch down to only 3 inch, i assume due to the smaller decrease in weight on projectile itself just my 2 cents and thanks for inspiring a young man to even think that way.

Some german guns are designed around 124 grain +p ammo. So, malfunctions can happen, if the gun is new, and the shooter is using 115 grain, up until the recoil spring is broken in.

I have 3 carry guns, 2 .45s and a 380. I use 230 gr hardball in the 45s and 95 gr flatnose for the 380. Both calibers have been killing folks since the early 1900s without being a hollow point. Never had a hangup, never jammed. And I'm shooting good groups with all my guns. So why change?

Regarding the 44-40 vs 44 Magnum question, the 44-40 (44WCF) case is 0.20" longer than the 44 Mag, and 0.14" larger diameter at the base. The rim is larger and the bullet slightly smaller in diameter than the 44 Mag. It's unlikely but not impossible that a 44 WCF cartridge could be stuffed into a sloppy 44 Mag chamber. But the advice to use the right ammo is right on.
