amazing recipe! The idea of combining Japanese cuisine (easily one of my favourite cultures to borrow recipes from), and Mexican (another really solid choice in terms of recipes), clearly creates one of the better fusions I've seen in a while.

Japanese cuisine? I'm just curious about that because in China we usually serve it while drinking alcohol. It's named Qianlong cabbage translated literally in Chinese. Qianlong is an emperor back in Qing dynasty.😂

It’s not even a Japanese cuisine. Mexican and Asian combination is always weird even when they’re dating hahahaha

Wonderful viewing...Loved the Taco folding technique ,very cool and a great way to hold fillings..I sometimes make Stuffed Papad (poppadum) Cones which is papads cut into half to form a semicircles ,then roasted and kept on a plate and rolled into a cone while still warm ..cooled to form a crisp cone ,it is then filled with chopped tandoori chicken pieces , onions , coriander and served with a green and tomato sauce or chutney...

Each country have their authentic dishes..But when the dishes travel outside the country the dishes are adapted to suit the country they are made in , to suit the palate of the local cuisine...Have tasted TexMex in Texas ...I think it's cool its flavors are a beautiful blend...

I LOVE the idea of toasting the white corn tortilla on the stove. I was about to insult you for the sacrilege of putting sesame oil into this, but the simple fact that you used soft, white corn tortillas absolves you of any crime. Would have been nicer to see how to use achiote properly... Still going to save my sesame oil for my stir-frys, though.
