    Do any of the people commenting have a sense of humour? These videos are very informative but at the same time are funny, not the same old boring review found time and time again on UA-cam. Not everything needs to be serious all the time guys :')

    I wish during other demos Rob would play more stuff like he did in this one. Simple riffing and power chords through some dirt really help me tell how the guitar will sound when I play it.

    I happened upon this guitar yesterday while shopping for a loop station. I was so blown away by this guitar that, after sleeping on it, I'm forgoing the loop station and going back to pick this guitar up today. It IS VERY impressive and versatile.

    I have this tele and love it. It has some quirks but it was to be expected at the price range. The modern player series begs the question of why don't fender just do away with squire and do the modern player series with the whole existing squire range

    Quality can sometimes transcend monetary value of a guitar .
    I judge my guitars purely on quality , but with a ceiling of cost, when I'm after a new one.
    My last purchase was fender strat jeff beck which I feel is pure quality. But, I just got a tele modern in sunburst £370 , and quality is excellent. I love it.
    I'm feeling the humour and warmth of you guys x

  • @shaindaman13

    No. You can see the wood grain clearly if you look. however my bass player thought mine was solid black for a month. A friend thought it was blue from one of our videos he saw. The wood grain was apparent to me from very first sight. What's more is I love the guitar's versatility. I bought it for my cover band to cover a wide range of music. It will do Tele, Strat and Les Paul tones and you don't have to worry if it's damaged in bar gigs because it's not expensive.

    This Tele makes me want a Fender now. I want that Modern Player!!!

  • @CoCaFanboy
    @CoCaFanboy 11 років тому

    Depends a bit on the style of the music. If you want the original tele sounds, go for the Mexican Standard. If you want more versatile sounds, go for the Modern Player. The Modern Player is crafted in China however, but i've read that they are pretty good quality for the price. Still if you're any sceptic with the origin country, the slightly more expensive Mexican is for you. Personally i think the Modern Player is worth a try. If you end up with buying it, could please tell me how you like it?

    About knocking on the wood of the guitar... Is it still bullshit if you are trying to point out the chambered body?

  • @WarmothGuitarist
    @WarmothGuitarist 12 років тому

    Knocking on a guitar body is not bullshit. You can actually get a good idea of the tone a guitar will give by knocking on the body. Knock on a piece of Mahogany and then knock on a piece of pine, ash, and maple. Hell, knock on two pieces of the same type of wood from different trees. They will always have their own tonal characteristics, which translates through the pickups. One can also knock on the body, and feel for vibration in the headstock to get an idea of how good a guitar resonates.
