Do any of the people commenting have a sense of humour? These videos are very informative but at the same time are funny, not the same old boring review found time and time again on UA-cam. Not everything needs to be serious all the time guys :')
I wish during other demos Rob would play more stuff like he did in this one. Simple riffing and power chords through some dirt really help me tell how the guitar will sound when I play it.
I happened upon this guitar yesterday while shopping for a loop station. I was so blown away by this guitar that, after sleeping on it, I'm forgoing the loop station and going back to pick this guitar up today. It IS VERY impressive and versatile.
I Have this guitar and from my experience can only sing its praises. I use if for rock, blues, jazz, country etc it really is a versatile axe for the money!!
I got one of these when they first came out.The only thing I changed the humbucker to a Seymour Duncan Jerr Beck trembucker. Its still going strong although the tuners are on there way out but well worth what I paid!
I have this tele and love it. It has some quirks but it was to be expected at the price range. The modern player series begs the question of why don't fender just do away with squire and do the modern player series with the whole existing squire range
Quality can sometimes transcend monetary value of a guitar . I judge my guitars purely on quality , but with a ceiling of cost, when I'm after a new one. My last purchase was fender strat jeff beck which I feel is pure quality. But, I just got a tele modern in sunburst £370 , and quality is excellent. I love it. I'm feeling the humour and warmth of you guys x
A lot of people have told me not to get a guitar from China, but they have been of great quality in my experience. I have a Classic Vibe and my friend has the Modern Player, and they are every bit as good as MIM.
You guys are crazy! XD Thx for making this video. I've been considering buying one of these guitars, and now I am sure, that I'm gonna buy one of them. Keep making videos, you make the best tests on UA-cam, you're a good team together. Best Wishes from Hungary!
No. You can see the wood grain clearly if you look. however my bass player thought mine was solid black for a month. A friend thought it was blue from one of our videos he saw. The wood grain was apparent to me from very first sight. What's more is I love the guitar's versatility. I bought it for my cover band to cover a wide range of music. It will do Tele, Strat and Les Paul tones and you don't have to worry if it's damaged in bar gigs because it's not expensive.
Depends a bit on the style of the music. If you want the original tele sounds, go for the Mexican Standard. If you want more versatile sounds, go for the Modern Player. The Modern Player is crafted in China however, but i've read that they are pretty good quality for the price. Still if you're any sceptic with the origin country, the slightly more expensive Mexican is for you. Personally i think the Modern Player is worth a try. If you end up with buying it, could please tell me how you like it?
the colours of these guitars doesn't come accross in videos. on google image they look light charcoal brown but do they look just plain black in person? the honey burst looks different aswell :S
I own a honey burst Fender Modern Player Telecaster Plus and it is the best Telecaster ever made to me. I own a blonde Tele in 1969 - but I sold it as it was limited to being "twangy"
Very nice sounding and great looking. The Thinline sounds beautifully and has a rich tone with the tele twang, not so the solid-body but it´s very versatile. Thanks again! And to Fender for keeping up making guitars...
I love my modern player telecaster. its truly excellent for the price, its my first fender and I will be buying an American telecaster now after how great the modern player is
Hi, is it possible to get the humbucker out and put a seymour duncan invader or any other passive - high output pickup in it? I love the guitar but i want to be able to play metal on it too :)
Apart from having a humbuckers which gives You a little bit more sounds options, is that any better that Squier Classic Vibe tele? It's almost 80£ more than CV and still pine and same quality pups
Stephen Viola dont listen to *****!! I've played tens of different high profile guitars and my fender tele modern player plus stays in tune perfectly, even better than most GIbsons I've played, and obviously tonnes better than any Ibanez. Trust me get a tele modern player plus and put a hot rails in the middle position, you'll be laughing considering the price!
All guitars do that for the first few hours of having new strings!! thats what makes restringing a guitar exciting, the strings mature over the first few days of being put on!
Knocking on a guitar body is not bullshit. You can actually get a good idea of the tone a guitar will give by knocking on the body. Knock on a piece of Mahogany and then knock on a piece of pine, ash, and maple. Hell, knock on two pieces of the same type of wood from different trees. They will always have their own tonal characteristics, which translates through the pickups. One can also knock on the body, and feel for vibration in the headstock to get an idea of how good a guitar resonates.

Yeah right? I enjoy them chit chatting mostly because I learn how to know good quality guitars.
Jokes are supposed to be funny. I'm here for a guitar demo - not an amateur comedy open-mic night...
Spencer Arnold well maybe you should loosen your knickers and stop being an ass.
@@spencerarnold3810 the jokes are shit, two smug arseholes
Best Anderspoons video. I had to stop watching it at work because I could not stop bursting out with laughter.
Pretty sure chappers is high.
Excellent observation, and accurate as well...I do believe.
I wish during other demos Rob would play more stuff like he did in this one. Simple riffing and power chords through some dirt really help me tell how the guitar will sound when I play it.
Penny, Penny, Penny.... THAT CRACKED ME UP. Especially how Lee reacted like Sheldon

I bought one of these today at a yard sale along with a Vox night train 15 combo for $125. Talk about Xmas in July.
This might be my favourite Andertons Demo video yet XD

@@sssidney Hi Jase, I love this guitar and the more I play it.... well you know the rest. Thx for your reply my friend and keep on strumming!!
The guy screaming at the top of his lungs "it's begun!!! D: " together with the fleeing telecaster at 8:30 really cracked me up xD
This is, to this day, their best video
Genius!
+Mr-smug This is their best? Wow...
+valleycat 6275 seriously, this video was so lackluster.
Your demos can always bring a laugh somewhere, thanks.

This is totally my new favorite video! So funny! Great way to end a long week!

I’ve watched a lot of these boys’ videos and this one was particularly off the rails. Love it!
man your videos have come A LOOOOOOOOONG Way! give your editing guy a raise!
One of their best reviews for sure! haha
:)
looks like someone had a "cup of tea" before the shoot........dope that is.
Best bit of the day so far.... watching this, keep up the great work guys!
it's a really bad day but you guys always manage to cheer me up. thanks
Isn't it awesome that you can watch a guitar review video, not even hear the guitar for 5 minutes and still love it. Chappers 'n' Captain \m/
I have this exact guitar, I really enjoy it, I paid about $350. I still kinda new at playing. it's the best out of my 4 guitars.

This Tele makes me want a Fender now. I want that Modern Player!!!

i came here to learn more about this guitar but all i wound up doing was laughing my ass off xD you guys are hilarious
they're high off there ass
Love how silly and relaxed you guys are in these videos :)

a day with a chappers video is a day worth being in youtube
Did you guys even "try" to tune that guitar before doing the demo? It's very apparent especially in the beginning on the clean channel.
That's because the neck pu is a Tele's; the middle one is from a Stratocaster.
"none of this messing around with 7 or 8 strings" BURN
@AmishParadice That's what I thought. Except the baritone is alder and of course, has a longer scale.
Your videos are great but what do you think a should get A telecaster or a strat
please help
reply below

Didn't have time to watch the vid, but extremely curious. Much apologies!But.. Major differences between this and the HH special?
do you guys have a casino sitting around? could you please demo it if you do? thanks!
You guys should really have a t.v. show. I'd never miss an episode.
These guys must have been dazed as fuck lol
best team to review amps and guitars !
A tele neck pickup is not a lipstick pickup and it does not sound the same as a standard single coil
These lads are a right gas. They're so good, they could sell left handed wellington boots to the Irish army.
when he puts it on the "dirty dirt humbucker" it sounds like buck owens joined acdc
Very nice sounding and great looking. The Thinline sounds beautifully and has a rich tone with the tele twang, not so the solid-body but it´s very versatile. Thanks again! And to Fender for keeping up making guitars...
I play a lot of jazz rock, funk, and jam band type of music would you recommend the modern player plus or the Fender Standard Telecaster?
Love you guys. love the videos!!! Keep it coming!!!
@RobChappers i was just wondering what do you prefer the classic vube tele or this thanks!
everything in this video is purchasable....I want Rob!!!!!!!!!!
Mini Rectifier review coming soon?
Got the exact same model black Tele. Love it. Love the vids too.
I love my modern player telecaster. its truly excellent for the price, its my first fender and I will be buying an American telecaster now after how great the modern player is
I'm also trying to decide that right now. Need a solid, versatile studio recording guitar. Any suggestions?
Tele. I'm a great lover of LP's but after I got my Tele last year my love for them has gone through the roof. They're fucking amazing.
@DrSequoia I just bought the charcoal one. It's actuall black with a wood grain finish that you can only see from up close.
hes just so full of awesomeness his skin couldnt contain it:)

those p90's sound soo good without distortion
Steve Brule that’s a humbucker.
Great video for its comedy, but I've been waiting for you guys to demo the Tele Plus, and you hardly played it! Does that mean you didn't like it?
I love how your reviews are ten times funnier than most actual comedy on youtube lol
i agree with captain, p90's are epic. more midrange growl and bass than a standard single coil, and more clarity than a humbucker. perfect :)
Right... There are two tele's in the modern player series. AND YOU SHOULD GET THEM BOTH!!!
You guys help me pick a great guitar this modern player plus is awesome
what is better the squier classic vibe 50's tele or a modern player tele. Since the prices are more or less the same
The amp on the rights and godly. What amp is it?
This is my favourite demo video ever! :D :D Loved the nasty jokes :D
its reliefing to find someone like me
I tried the MP and CV lately and I personally prefer the MP aswell :) Thanks for the info!
The Fender JA-90 is Jim Adkins signature model, the frontman for Jimmy Eat World. I own that guitar, and it is a fantastic chunk of wood.
hey guys, what amp did you use with the demo?
The dirt channel with the p90 style pups almost sounded like zazz blammymatazz for a bit.
awesome video, how's the quality of the tuners ? considering it's China made
bummer.

If you actually have one, I suggest you let a professional give it an intonation check because mine is doing fine...
Michael Seecy
mine never ever went out of tune..great tuners..
In 2022 "trans black" has a different meaning.
I just got this guitar!
Hey Rob, have you ever heard of G&L guitars?
About knocking on the wood of the guitar... Is it still bullshit if you are trying to point out the chambered body?
Knocking on a guitar body is not bullshit. You can actually get a good idea of the tone a guitar will give by knocking on the body. How did you set your amp alike the sound.. Specially the bridge pickup on tele plus!!
Please tell me the song you were playin' at 5:26
or the chords? please?
Apologies for the 8 year delay but.... D, A and E
lol props on the big bang theory reference!
he does look like sheldon
wheres penny damnit.
Those P90's are really thick sounding.... Ahhhwwwwsooooommmmeeee....
AND VERY AFFORDABLE!!
Was the censored captain joke about the italian cruise ship?
When are you guys gonna review the evil robot?
could you do the moder player strats too ?
Is this in short scale? Not sure if the guitar only looked small because you're big.
Should I get this tele plus or a squier classic vibe tele?
people watch this videos for the guitars just as much as people watch top gear for the cars...good old british humor))
lmao this vid was the best one yet! I was in stitches! and im gonna buy the guitar!
I love the modern player series, I don't know which one I like the best
what amp were you using ?
*knock knock knock* Penny... Priceless! Sheldon FTW!!!
I lost it when he did the Sheldon Knock haha.
I'm not at all keen on either guitar. However, this is one of the best reviews the guys have have ever done for various reasons.
hi can you do a review of the boss feedback boost pedal?
Any left handed strats? Or good tele's?
