Thanks so much! I try to make the videos interesting even for people who don't plan to watch the movie. I'm glad it kept you engaged and I appreciate you commenting.
@@ArthurAugustyn also, I saw your top 10 films of 2021. By any chance, have you seen the power of the dog, Spencer or Titane?? Those were my top 3 of 2021
@@RosVideos2327 yeah, I checked out your channel for a bit. I did see Power of the Dog but really wasn't into it at all. Haven't seen Spencer or Titane though. Titane I've heard a lot of good things so I'll seek it out at some point!
Please do an explanation of inherent vice, it has received mainly very positive reviews from the critics, I have watched it twice yet still have no idea what it is about, there seems to be no explanation anywhere on the internet, first time I watched I was trying to focus a lot, second time I watched it I realised it was a bit humorous and satirical
I actually haven't seen Inherent Vice at all. I didn't hear good things. I do know that author (Pynchon) writes intentionally convoluted stories. I think that would drive me crazy. Although I'm sure there's some value in establishing the plot doesn't really matter and focusing on ~vibes~. I appreciate your interest in my work!
I really like most of PTA's work, especially Boogie Nights, Magnolia, The Master & Punch Drunk Love. This new one, however, didn't work for me at all. Very boring, and the two main characters were rather annoying. The only bright spots were the scenes with Sean Penn and Bradley Cooper. Those scenes gave me more of what I like about PTA's work.
I've always found PTA's work challenging enough that I need to digest and revisit to really figure out what I think about it. This one was definitely easier to glimpse an opinion about, but it may take another viewing to deprogram your expectations and accept it for what it is. I think this is the only wholly positive PTA film I can think of. It's not very cerebral or pensive. It's just some kids hanging out, which I found a lot of fun. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts!
wow someone with an actual brain giving a smart in depth view on why this film is so great. cheers fella
I very much appreciate the kind words! Was there any specific element of this film you thought was overlooked by other reviews? Thanks for commenting!
Good lord, well done, sir! 👏 One of the smartest takes on this film I've yet encountered.
Thank you so much!
Just from the first 2 mins, I was so engaged! Love this and your deep profound knowledge of film and overall cinema👏🏻
