What a great lesson. There are a lot of UA-camrs who produce convoluted jazz instruction videos that are often confusing. This is the first video I've found in years that actually explains jazz fundamentals in a very clear, coherent and systematic way. Amazing.
You all probably dont care at all but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Gage Vincenzo thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Thanks for making this. It must be the best of it’s kind. I appreciate if for the systematic approach and the effective use if voice over the keyboard.
great lesson love it, still - as a beginner i strongly recommend to break it up in smaller junks to learn, so one is less likely exhausted. this is really, here u got it all type of advice, which is hard to learn.
Hi, you said one can download a PDF based upon those practice drills, but I got only links to lessons to watch, which is nice, but not what I expected. Thanks
Excellent structured toturial..like it alot! Where can we get the suggested fingering? I downloaded the pdf but there was no finger numbers. I normally just make sure my thumbs don't end up on the Black notes.
You commented this forever ago but maybe I could still help a bit. The way I understand it, you should always insure that your fingering remains the exact same while you run up the keys (past a single octave). For example, your fourth finger on your right hand should always be the finger to hit C# when playing a D major scale past an octave. Your third finger should always hit the A on a C major run and so on.
About the intervals: when going up in 3rds, D-F is a min3, E-G is a min3, as is A-C. When going up in 4ths, F-B is a tritone or an aug4. So what are we really praciticing when doing this?
Hi there! By doing this exercise, you are visualising the different intervals within each scale - instead of simply running up and down in a linear fashion. Improvised music is more than just running up and down scales, and so this exercise will help you to see scales in a different light. Hope this helps and learn more at www.pianogroove.com - Cheers, PianoGroove
Hayden: you stated above, "You can download the PDF practice plan, which covers all of the important exercises and drills to master the theory in this course." I'm still looking for the link to the PDF and not finding it …. Did I miss something obvious or was it never posted ???
Your practices plan is very good but i have a problem now in first day, major interval took me about an hour and i didn't do anything.Did i miss something in the video? Thank you.
The major intervals up and down the scales? If so, just do however many keys you can get done in the 10 minutes, then write down the ones you completed. The next day, work on the remaining ones. So on and so forth. If you have a ton of time you can definitely do them all, and you’ll do more within those 10 minutes as you practice, but you can burnt out trying to do everything in a day. After you get good, pick a certain amount of keys at random and see what your weak ones are and focus on those. Good luck

Hi. Where is the PDF for the practice plan? I downloaded a series of lessons, not the plan. Thanks.
Didn't follow @16:50 where you move thru the circle of (5ths) chromatically.
No se puede descargar PDF .. me mis pueden enviar por inbox ??
I'm having the hardest time playing scales with both hands together(2 octaves). How can I start to master this?
Thanks
My advice: Go slow. One note at a time. Pause and think. Learning scales with both hands is hard at first, and takes time.
Slowly... No short cuts. If you're making the same mistake over and over, you're practicing too quickly. You'll gain speed with time
When you demonstrate the F major and A major scales descending, are those flat and sharps mistakes or in purpose?
Hi I'm new in this platform. Thanks for a great lesson. How do I download the pdf guide?
Looking for the attached PDF …
Where’s the pdf? I clicked link and entered email but just got a video lesson.

@@hunterkogelman3558 Thank you
no links. no pdf. sigh. too late for me.
At 3:07, why does the F major scale have a D flat?
Prob a mistake, should be a Bb instead, he played the Bb anyways tho.
I signed up but how does one access the free pdfs?
go to the resources menu on the website

14:19 stank face from that unexpected voicing
That *was* a pretty crazy chord.
