Hi Julian, I bought a membership to try it out within the 3 month refundable period. I think it's great however I simply can't afford it as I am a student. I messaged your support team however they have not replied. Please can you let me know who I can contact about this query. Thank you
After 10 years of classical piano as a child, your lessons have motivated me to dig back into the groove and learn some fun jams at the age of 49. Thanks Julian.
You have been one of the best resources and motivation to learn and make piano my highest passion, thank you or all your work making your knowledge available for others. If I could I would buy all your classes.
That means so much Pedro. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement - it goes a long way behind the scenes and I hope to help you much more in future
Well I can also say, I have seen 100 youtube piano lesson videos and you are the only one to inspire me to PAY a monthly fee. I going to LICK this up. thanks, you're the best
Thank you Nick! That means a lot - I'm so glad you enjoyed this one. I had to cut some material - but I would have ended by saying 'repeat this 5-day cycle as many times as you like - just focus on one thing per day.'
Hi Julian I’m an annual member. I’ve gone through the most of your lessons and they’re all very helpful. I especially like the course on block chords. Very easy to understand! And I love the videos where I can follow along as you go, as if you’re in the room guiding me! I think this video here is helpful because it quickly summarizes what you taught in your improvisation course. Thanks! Maybe you can do more videos like this? Something your students can use to review or practice with you as they watch the video? I’m sure many would agree with me here! Here is also a question about practicing change of chords in a song. I have grasped the theory of voicing and can play major & minor 2-5-1’s in all 12 keys note perfect, and I can build a chord off a lead sheet very slowly using different voicing choices such as shell, drop 2, or upper structure and etc. It takes a while because I have to think the scale that is in the key to build the chord with various scale degrees. It seems impossible to do within seconds. Is that correct way of thinking? And, what sort of exercises do you recommend to reach at-least-listenable fluently so that I don’t pause at every chord change when playing a standard? I think my challenge lies in how quickly you can think of the upcoming chord in your head and know what note becomes a 3, 7, or 9 etc.. in that chord. How did you train your brain to do such things instantly? I hope I am not mumbling too much! I hope you understand my question. Thanks for being such a great teacher! Good luck with being a good daddy as well!
@weekends- Don’t expect an answer from Julian! Somehow he is either too busy with his three childs or simply he is not willing. My question from oct, 1,2022 is still not yet answered. I will end my trial membership but do not know how, because my other 3 emails have also not been answered yet and my cancellation is not even recognized
Thank you so much for the free resources! I'm a classically trained sheet music dependant pianist that's been asked to join a small jazz band. Your literature and videos are going to help me Big Time!! 🎹🎶❤️
Hi, I’m wondering how the diminished scale is made? Where can I learn about it? If there’s some videos about it you made, I’d appreciate for the links.

@louis Yeah, same here, it seems the refund guarantee is a terrible fake! Julian does not answer and so keeps the trial members in their full time subscription! Bad, bad behavior and the excuse of him having 3 children is not valid! Sorry Julian, there are many more people with children and despite that doing their job quite well!
I am really sorry BSD if I've missed your emails. I really am. I used to spend an hour every night reading and replying to emails for years. Since I became a father, of 3 young children, I haven't been able to read all incoming emails. I have an email assistant who does read all emails, and does her best to reply to all that she has an answer to. I am very sorry - I'm still trying to find a good solution to handling incoming emails and replying. Do you have a question you can post here?
@@jazztutorial my third un-answered email a week ago still waits for an answer. For me as a member this is not acceptable. I hope you can find a solution after all those weeks.... btw. you have several email addresses - which are really monitored?
Hi Julian, on your webpage there is a long refund guarantee for years member trials : 90 days! And if there is somebody not satisfied you will refund! Now let us know - obviously there are more members not that satisfied - how we should contact you or your assistent to declare our guarantee request to you and ask for the payback? Please, no excuses, time related! Especially if you have an assistent as mentioned here. Are you doing a fake business procedure and trick the members in a constant subscription? your tutorials are quite good but if you are not available for your members, even with the slightest question then the whole business is worthless and you are cheating with a fake guarantee! Just think..... and please act!
It can be so so frustrating and time wasting. If you're not very gifted learning music and you're trying to learn piano playing and you're not smart enough to read music. So frustrating and time wasting for me
I think everybody feels that way sometimes. There are people who are very skilled at piano that get completely lost. thinking of it this way nobody is ever mastered the instrument, or any instrument for that matter. the fun is in the arduous task of piecing the puzzle together
I've been playing for 30 yrs and only decided to learn this in depth now. Imo, this is not something necessarily for beginners, but if you cannot read music yet, you will either need to dedicate some years or try a different approach. Music is like math where one method is not for everyone. I've had college professors attempt to teach me this 15 years ago and I did not get it. This method works for me but may not work for everyone. So it may not be a waste of time but rather you will need to find something that makes your time feel like it has fulfilled your goals.

How did you decide on which chords to start with?
That was probably the best intro to improv I have seen. I can see how these techniques can be used within a piece. Excellent Job
