    Your sort of videos are way more interesting and educational than anything Hunting Aotearoa puts out Howie only farms it. Love your little dog Kiwi to keep up the good work. Yours are real bush and hunting in NZ and you should be getting paid for your Videos, opossum eradication and the fur.

    The plucking of fur is a lot easier than skinning & drying skins I use to do. A bugger it wasn’t the method 40 yrs ago👍

      Just viewed your 3 possum trapping vids tonight. Awesome stuff. I use to trap in Marlborough 40yrs ago, lugging 120 the old style all steel traps, when on long lines. I loved hearing the possum calling out on your. I’d. It took me back to the bush. I use to do night shooting too. Also have eaten plenty of possum meat. In my eyes you are true kiwi hard case bushman. I learnt my bush craft from my Dad & Scouts. How did you get to be so knowledgeable? Cheers

    My question is not connected to this exact video, but the one where you documented your teenage years as a possum hunter. In the videos the possums are moving When you start picking the fur. Why dont you koll them first to ease the suffering?

    • @KeepingItWild
      @KeepingItWild  2 роки тому

      They are well dead before plucking, what you are seeing is just muscle twitching, which happens in most animals for a time after death.
