danngg Patagonia is a pretty damn cool destination to stretch the legs! Love it!!
is there an age restriction?
If the Patagonia one falls through due to covid, check out en.hexatrek.com this track in France. 2022 will be the first year it’ll be accessible.
@@jakeryan8054 ooh this is interesting!
@@robopecha they just released a promo video and a bit more information On it! Looks amazing!
Suggestion: Do what you heart says with regards to the Te Araroa edit - we'll watch with open hearts whatever you decide.
I recommend making a single longer film that could become the gold standard for the TA Trail. What you did on the PCT was magnificent, but creators are often their best when they are telling stories rooted in their native geography. So many of the great works of literature are set in the nurturing environment of the author's youth. Who knows maybe you could then do a film festival gig or sell the film online like Darwin did for the Arizona Trail. Best regards young lady...you have the soul of a poet and the heart of a lion.
Yes!!!!!! She’s back!!!!!!
My thoughts exactly!
@@harrisonparker4347 Mine too.... love this lady and her work!!
Exactly !!!!
WELCOME BACK TIP TAP
We've missed you, your spirit, and your art for capturing and sharing moments. Don't fret over trying to share Te Araroa over UA-cam. You continue to grow and so should the way you share your experiences and gifts with others. All my best as you take that next incredible step.
Been SO looking forward to this video, it didn't disappoint :)
No pressure, but please keep telling stories. Incredibly engaging, beautifully honest, gorgeously composed, delightfully witty, passion infused stories.
Congrats on the McCain Steak Fries sponsorship! That was really interesting to hear your comparison of the PCT and TA in terms of going through towns. I'm sure whatever you chose to make video wise for the TA will be compelling viewing. All the best.
Hahah that brand placement tho.
It was nice to see some Canadian branding in a New Zealand video. :)
@@ElinaOsborne are you eating the steakfries with peanut butter or without?
@@louiselafond1443 Haha, yes! I spent 3 months in NZ in 2014 and had a good chuckle when I first saw McCain fries in a local supermarket. GO, New Brunswick!
One big film, or a you tube series,.. hmmm,.. I enjoyed how you did the PCT. Both! A big documentary and a series. I love how you did the documentary of your hike,.. but I also loved how you broke out your PCT hike into a series.
I was so excited to see you've posted again! Can't wait to see more from your TA experience :)
I’ve been waiting for this. Wonderful story telling and a joyful spirit.

So excited to see this! We all love your storytelling and want you to take these next steps at your own pace. Also, I gasped at seeing the stadium clip, so surreal and exciting to see! Southern California is just starting to open up.
Let’s gooooo, super pumped for this
Good to see you back! Yes I would like to see the content of tou teaching for a few weeks on the "small island". Can't wait to see your video(s) of the adventure you just had as well!
Nice to see you Elina. Love your sweater!
It makes me so happy to see you and your very intimate style of shooting videos again!
During the PCT-series I was really looking forward to every single episode, and the journey made me very happy.
I'm sure it will be the same for Te Araroa, no matter the format!
I have been waiting so long for another video from you! So excited to see more, thanks for inspiring me to make a UA-cam channel myself :)
Glad you're back!! However you decide to do the videos - I can't wait to watch!
Yay. Glad to see another video from you. Been looking forward to your hike videos. But don't rush it. You are really good at capturing the moments and finding the balance between the experiences and the hike itself. As well as the people in it.
I notice you have learned some new photography stuff in your short edits in this video, compared to your PCT edit. I noticed that due to me also starting to learn to capture my hikes and my experienced since your last video. You are one of my inspirations for making my own videos. Mostly just short ones for now (on a different account, norway hikes), but I might do longer ones's as I learn and get better at it.
Best of luck with your videos and future endeavours.
Glad to have my feelings of post trail 'what the hell do I do now' blues validated. Excited to see your perspective of the TA - staying tuned.
Can't wait to see your film of this trail
Great to see you back! Congrats on finishing the TA! Really looking forward to seeing your upcoming TA video(s) (my two cents are that I'd prefer it in an episodic format, it makes it easier to digest on yt and would probably give some more room to play around with tone section to section vs. one continuous work. I liked how each of your PCT episodes felt like their own vignettes contributing to a full journey.) Do what you feel most inspired to do though, move at your own pace on this.
Respect Elina. Have fun on your next adventure.
Elina, beautiful intro. Make sure you keep the films coming ! I vote for 1 longer one.
It’s pretty easy to follow your treks, hiking vids, and any future adventures as you create amazing videos.
The music you put in your videos is just so beautiful 💜✨
Love ❤️💜❤️💜
this video is exactly what i need right now! thank you!
Finished the video and im so pumped about the videos from your trip and when you talked about your plans, moving to the island, story time on the attic + more! Going to watch everything you put out. It gives me life!
I am so excited to ser the films, thank you for your hard work making these stories for us, i love following your journey!
So glad you have a Patreon! Have been following you since the PCT and have so enjoyed each and every video. The production quality and storytelling is truly stand-out in the trail vlogger world. Thank you, from an aspiring thru hiker!
And... I'm done! Such an awesome update hun. Looking forward to whatever comes next (whenever) 😘👍 P.S. I will defo be checking out your Bright Trip course too. So much still to learn and such a long way to go...
I’ve been waiting!!
I’m just so impressed by you and your content. I think of your PCT thru hike whenever I shoot my own videos, of the family or on the trail. I’m grateful for whatever you wish to share. Also, I can only imagine the immense interest you’ll have from others to hike with you…
I’ve so been looking forward to seeing your lovely face and hearing your wonderful storytelling again 💛
Hell yeah for travelling with you! I just came back from Scotland where I hiked the Great Glen Way and Ben Nevis after being inspired by your PCT videos. It was my first time alone and I can't thank you enough for giving me that push.
Yay, you're back!
Excited for the films!
Suggestion for next trail after Covid: Kungsleden, Sweden.
When I started becoming invested in the PCT, you were one of the first channels I stumbled upon and it convinced me that this was something I had to do. Not wanted to. Had to. Since then, I've shown everyone who will listen your videos and am painstakingly slowly planning my PCT trip for 2023. I cannot wait. I'm thrilled you've been on another wild adventure and I can't wait to see the videos from your trip!
Yea!! You’ve surfaced ! I am looking forward to whatever way you decide to share your story. I’m just happy to know you are going to share it.
Can't wait to see it, however you put it together!
Very weird: I checked your channel a couple of days ago to see if there were any updates on your journey. And now here it is! :D As always, your craft is bloody beautiful
Yayy!! A new upload!!!
Please make a series! I like to re-watch your PCT vlogs over and over and a series is the best format for that!
I was just thinking the other day "what happened to Elina?" I jumped with joy when this popped up in my subs today. I discovered you late-PCT and binge-watched from there. The quality of your videos, thoughts, Kiwi-ness and sense of humour give this overseas Kiwi much entertainment. Whether you go short video series or cinematic long film/doco, I know the result will be marvellous. Chur from Jakarta
Very nice to finally hear from someone who has done both - PCT and TA to be talking about the differences between the two. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I am sooo looking foreward to the TA film(s)!
Our patience has been rewarded. You were worth the wait. Looking forward to seeing a documentary of your trail experiences. Am voting for another you tube catalog, like your PCT series. See what you might do on the island sounds very interesting.
Blessings and Aloha from Hawaii
I personally loved the mini-series aspect of your PCT footage but I would gladly watch whatever you end up putting together :))
Looking forward to whatever you do with the footage!
Definitely a series if I had to choose!
Heyyy!! I'm so glad I found your channel, loving the vibes. 👏🏽🔥 NZ love from Barcelona
Huge congratulations on your ta hike seeing your forage brought back so many memories of my 20/21 ta I'm still wanting to be on trail.
Geo
Best q/a. Looking forward to the movie or movies!!
That twinkle in your eyes is so lovely to watch, so far i watched a lot of movies and they're so great to watch! I just started to do longer walks and I'm starting to get addicted. The TA is definitely going on my bucket list. 😊🙏🏻
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences.
Don’t feel guilty for posting! I haven’t thru hiked (yet!) and only camped once in my life before 2020. Watching people’s thru hike vlogs and learning about/acquiring gear and going on a few weekend trips has been my escape through it all. I only just discovered your channel, but I lovvvve your style and what you have to say. Been such an inspiration and sort of virtual breath of fresh air to watch yours and others’ treks. I mean, by all means feel your feelings lol, but videos like yours have saved me!
Lovely to have you back! I can’t wait to see your new adventure. It’s difficult to tell how I love the way you film, the mood you choose, the way you tell the stories…by the way, you don’t live in a small island, I know what I say because I do (Canary Islands…google it!).Thank you!
whatever you decide in sharing your journey on te araroa, i want you to understand just how much inspiration you've given the world with a simple 15 minute video. seeing such majestic landscapes (even briefly) while listening to the words of someone who truly cherishes their home, this planet, and each step they take upon it just opens an entirely new perspective on how one moves in this lifetime. thank you for sharing your experiences, thank you for opening your world to those of us who many not ever see NZ, and thank you for being you
