    epic clip bro.I grew up in Fiordland. No mention of the bluddy sand flies down at the lake...Those possum skins on the shoulders of your vest are a good idea for extra padding for carrying a heavy pack. You are one of the few other youtubers I watch. Thanks for taking us with you. LIKED.

    Aa a young girl my dad trapped and had a pack of hounds he would hunt with. We trapped raccoons, possums, fox, and with the hounds bobcats and cougars (mountain lions). I can remember being told to wait here on a stump in the dark, hearing the hounds and the cats hiss, was a little scary for a 10 year old. May be why I am scared of the dark as an adult 😂

    Shady/Abby. Kiwi
    Real good vids thanks for sharing your experience.
    Learning heaps.1080 sucks.
    You're right more trapping
    Less poison. People have just lost the skill to hunt.
    Our land is valuable.
    We all need to look after it.
    Teach the young to hunt.
    Through our school system. A part of learning.
    To be a kiwi

Awesome vids so far tho, keep it up. ps - why don't you eat the nice young deer livers?

    Hey bro just a quick question. I'm looking to get into possum hunting. When you skin possums that are intended for sale to a tanner/fur man, do you have to do anything to the skin or do you just roll it up? Like do you have to salt/treat the fat side with anything ? And if you just roll it up is there a way to roll them? Cheers bro!

    • @KeepingItWild
      @KeepingItWild  6 років тому +2

      Hey bro, if your selling them green (not dried) just fold them length ways skin on skin, roll em up and put them in freezer to keep them from going off. Just need to de frost them before you take them in to sell so buyer can grade them.
