How sorry I am for the encounter you had Yes it is a sad realization that for 2 000. Years the traditions that seemed impenetrable unchanging and truthful by their powerful connection To our understanding could be in danger I was a young uneducated man after HS in the 60 s and although my saintly mother and I came to California from Panama about the same time We didn’t have the fruit of the power in words as you have of showing us being able to express the truth of what we felt about our beautiful traditions that were being lost We could feel a transition occurring entering these blank walls at our new parish at st Cornelius in LB ca. About all we recognized was the crucifix above a table set aside draped in a dining cloth Communion in the hand shaking other strangers hands and thus not kneeling for “lord I am not worthy.....” The tabernacle was on the side wall the Virgin was standing by herself alone on another wall The baptist pastor Accross from me where I live now still in California said Vatican II legitimized all Christian Churches so we can now attend any church we want Because they are all the same! And my neighbor a baptized catholic said to me the other day “why don’t you go to this baptist church it’s much closer and their food is as good as St Cabrini”?
Ars celebrandi everything. ❤️
