We have this problem and same excuses...have you considered people learning they have cancer and trying to pray and your children's crying....get real and be considerate of others. Our pastor asked would you put up with crying attending the movies.

Yes, the really loud crying and kid noises in the background is very distracting and rude to the people trying to listen, this is not a lecture they would understand and the parents are really quite rude and inconsiderate to others!

I hear the children in the background, and noticed that Fr Ripperger is not bothered at all. He doesn't let it distract him. I am thus motivated to just focus on his teachings. And Jesus did say to let the children be. So be it.

I am glad Catholics bring their children to the sermons with them as opposed to Protestant churches where kids are separated into little play rooms (I came from Protestantism). I told my 5 year old I bring her in with the adults and listen to what I listen to just as I would want her to eat off my plate with vegetables, teach her how to use cutlery properly than sitting at a kids table or ordering from kids menu. Child grows best eating what their parents eat. They learn healthy eating and behavioral habits. Same in the spiritual aspect.

Jesus said BRING THE CHILDREN. I once heard a priest say when a child cries out at mass it makes him happy to know the young family is there. If we focus on our relationship and prayers we barely hear the children; and being no. 9 of 11 FAMILY brings smiles 😃 to my face. I know how often I distrupted the Holy Mass when I was a naughty child and I owe it to GOD to pay back my debt for my many failures. Bring on the children. I love them 💗

    • @donnahalsted7718

Yes, one of twelve. If one of the little ones was fussy they were carried out by big brother or sister till it passed. We sat, knelt, stood quietly under Dads watchful eye. His devotion was so exemplary, with head bowed and gently turning the onion skin pages of his missal. Mother usually had an infant to tend. The older boys were generally serving. The rest of us really kept each other in line. On occasion a baby cry could be heard somewhere in church. But it was soon hushed or drifted outside.
Today, to hear a baby cry in Church is a joyful blessing. How I wish there was a larger choir of those innocent ones in Church. It amazes me that God still has faith in humanity when I see children! God bless their parents!

Thank you again, Fr. R. ... Malicious gossiping seems to be off the charts in prevalence and damage done everywhere. This is so good and very helpful in teaching us how to better ourselves, using biblical principles. This should be available in every school and workplace!
PS - I appreciate keeping Trads on their toes, and keenly aware, especially given that Trads are supposedly searching for the truths, no matter how hard. Really important to NOT undermine the cause and truths by behaving hypocritcally. With great respect, in interest of balance.... Most Trads have likely endured accusations of trying to appear "holier than thou" so I just don't want people considering going traditional to be intimidated too much by those kinds of generalizations , or to feed too much into others who are quick to judge and label Trads negatively. But please still keep us on our toes, we all need it! (Great advice given, @ practicing to pray FOR the person we want to gossip about or who has hurt us)

Re: Gossipping by men vs. women. Stranded after work, in a snowstorm, I ended up spending the night at the home of a male, retired former co-worker who took pity on me and on another co-worker, also a male (I'm a female). Our gracious host lived in a one-bedroom apartment, and he and my male co-worker whiled away a pleasant couple of hours over a couple of beers in the living room, talking about the doings among the various people at our workplace . . . I was very tired after trudging through the snow, and was desperate to go to sleep, but no such luck . . . I was forced due to the sleeping arrangements to wait for the pair of them to wrap it up. They weren't wrapping anytime soon, and I was a captive audience . . . anyway, before we all finally turned in, I knew more personal information about *every single person,* including *the owner* and *the owner's wife,* than I had learned on my own about these people during the previous entire year! (I'm an introvert; find most other people's lives boring to the point of sobs, and tend to mind my own business.) I have never heard such a fat pair of gossips in my entire life!!! And I never would have believed it if I hadn't listened to the pair of them all evening. (In case any other "oldsters" from DC remembers this night - this was the President's Day Snowstorm of 1979).

So we can't read or talk about Adam & Eve, Cain, Judas, the High Priests etc. Can't bring criminals to account? I can't defend myself?

So I gossiped 1991-93. No way to undo it now as most have prob forgotten & I don’t even know where the person is. Have always figured I’d apologize if I ran into them.
Do I just move on or is there an action I should do in absence of finding the human?

The files that Satan uses manipulate our free will, as he did with Adam and Eve can be dealt With by us. So we had better practice judging the Angels as first Corinthians chapter 6 states. it’s not about the final judgement right now in this world we better start judging if it is Satan, using our free will as he did with Adam and Eve. Yes, I will have to witness to God in person my sins. But I rest that case in the Lord God.

Yeah, everything will be seen and heard. I might as well officially apologize for everything bad i did in my life so far.
Whoever you are and you read this comment, my sins impacted you indirectly like a domino effect. Im sorry for that.

Unless we confront people in Christ, it is gossip. Their lack of Christ, or the lack of Christ that we have in this world is manipulated by Satan using our free will. That only God gives.

The serpent, the “nahash” is a divine being. Scholars have realized the word it’s a triple entendre that points to characteristics of a divine being and not that of a talking animal or the devil masking as a talking animal. Eve would’ve probably seen these beings before since she’s in the garden of God and that’s why she’s not surprised to see one.

It's kind of amazing that this priest basically seven years ago predicted the way the Pope would stop the Latin Mass. Isn't that why the Pope did it...because people were gossiping about the validity of Vatican 2 and the Novus Ordo?

We do have knowledge of God, who we see if we see Christ. He told us not to eat from the tree of knowledge. It was of God Adam didn’t love you that’s why he had more decisions to make as head of the family.

Complicit silence in the face of EXPLICIT heresy of any cleric, at any level, is sinful, an act of cowardice. Canon law 212 gives Catholics both the right and the DUTY to denounce and correct the heresy/error of a cleric: "expose the works of darkness to the light of day." Better there be scandal than the truth be suppressed." Pope St. Felix.

@E V M .....perhaps you should realise that jorge bergolio was probably not canonically elected...his election was pushed by the san gallen group of cardinals....who called themselves by the name ... "san gallen Mafia group of cardinals "...this video was made shortly after Pope Benedict resigned ....the man sittng in the chair of peter now has aligned himself with the W.E.F. and its evil ways...his aim is to destroy the beautiful Holy Sacrifice of the Latin mass that all our saints participated in for well over a thousand years.....priests that preach the gospel and talk about sin and try to save souls have been thrown out....the Catholic church in China has been destroyed by the deals the vatican have done for money....after the good Cardinal Zen begged mr bergoglio not to do this deal....and to add to the evil deed...Archbishop Vigano told mr bergoglio that mccarrick was a sexual predator on young seminarians for years...mr bergoglio send the predator card mccarrick and card paglia ( who had a naked mosiac display of Jesus and sinners with his own head on one of the people in it with drug needles in some arms ) inside his church in 2007 Pope Benedict told him to destroy it....mccarrick has now been laicised because of his bad deeds....of which mr bergoglio had been told .....

It's one thing to correct error. It's quite another to "bash" the person, especially in regards to his position.
I wonder where he himself was wounded in his life. Let's pray all the more for him. This is what Jesus desires us to do.

Wounds you and other person. A venial sin. Pray for repentance and do restoration. Focus on own personal life. Pray!!!

If we don’t honour the baptismal promises to our children, we’re no different than Adam and Eve after 2000 years. I hear a lot of self coming from your mouth father Rippinger it’s a wonderful knowledge from the tree of knowledge. All you have to do is say to Little Works in Christ after what you say Amen

I thought the animals did talk before the fall so it wasn’t unusual for the serpent to talk. It was just unusual for the serpent to beguile by saying that God was wrong to tell them they would not die if they ate of the tree. Adam, being the covering of Eve and responsible for her well being, and seeing that the serpent entered from outside and knowing it was denying God’s word to them, Adam should have been saying to Eve, “Wait! Stop! Don’t! Instead he sinned along with her.

I like it. But I also wonder about seeking wise counsel. How do you know if someone is wise counsel when you’re being quiet? I also worry about those who are like I was, and feel that they must remain trapped in emotional and verbal abuse so as not to tarnish the reputation of another.
