Big 12's Financial Lifesaver Unveiled
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 жов 2024
- The Big Ten is making a push to be more competitive beyond just Ohio State and Michigan, which could make life difficult for the Big 12 and ACC. But what if there's a way for the Big 12 to keep up with the power two leagues financially?

You suggest KSU should borrow $50m to pay for sports, lol? You get that KSU can’t print money to pay back the loan, right?
It's an insane take. Instead of sticking to a budget while working to increase revenue, let's take on massive loans and sell off percentages of our entire athletic department. 😐
"Private Capital" is not the answer. They're going to take a nice chunk out of "future growth". That's like putting the mortgage on a credit card.
No it is not. Most of these teams don't have consistent winning records to be private equity candidares. Then with some of these state schools, how do they get private equity with public tax money.
This sounds like a University issue, not a conference issue. Universities should be responsible for keeping and maintaining all of their coaches and players.
Private capital is short term fix. I mean if you make less money due to less tv money. If they take your money in the future just creates more problems.
Ads are never short term. Look at the MLB uniforms...they have sponsers for big money
The Big 10 Conference. Huge Alumni Bases, Terrible Football Teams
I am an Ohio State and you KU fans got some nerve talking about 'terrible football teams'. Since when has Kansas been a playoff team?!
Private capital is not dumb money it’s smart money which means they want a big return in their investment, you don’t qualify, we will see about cab lol.
The new Big XII has the sexy
2:03 Michigan isn't 'carrying' the Big 10 conference. Ohio is. That's like saying LSU is carrying the SEC knowing it's Alabama. There are 3 teams that have won the BCS and playoff championships. LSU and Alabama are the other two.
'The Big Ten is making a push to be more competitive beyond just Ohio State and Michigan, which could make life difficult for the Big 12 and ACC. ' - Wouldn't that be problematic for the SEC too since the Big 10 is the richest conference?
How about selling naming rights to stadiums, fields, talk of patches on uniforms from advertisers to get us to SEC & BIG 10.
That has to be approved by the NCAA first.
Big ten and SEC would do the same thing and keep their financial advantage
Too many good football players for the BIG10 and SEC bottom feeders to dominate BIG12 schools.
What was the score when the last team from the Big12 made it???? Ill wait its a big number 😂😂😂😂
You make a good point about TCU's game against SEC Georgia. How did their game against B1G Michigan go in the quarter final? Point being, I'm not even a TCU fan but any given Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday a team can beat what is perceived to be a better team....
Yes … Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Rutgers … please! Those schools are not even from football states.
I also see this as an opening salvo to the lower B1G schools, either get better or the top schools are moving to a super league w/ the SEC in a few years & you’re gonna be left behind.
This guy is soooo tuff....like that little french mouse on the old tom and jerry cartoons. Soy boi
GEAUX TIGERS🐆🐆🐆🐆🐆🐆🐆!!!!!!! BEAT BAMA🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘!!!!!!
The top tier programs all cheated to get where they are now. It's never been a level playing field ever.
Oil money is coming to Houston Coogs!
Great work you are doing, look forward to the podcasts, SEC fan
Hello John. How are you doing today?
UCF is the Big 12 Lifesaver!
If penn state counts as a half then the big 12 has 0
The big 12 will get the middle of the ACC prob some good programs
No it won't. Explain HOW Big 12 will convince aCC teams to take a $20 Million PAYCUT and PAY a $100,000 Exit fee to have WORSE Travel to a Conference with CRAP Airport Coverage?
ACC will instead take the TOP of what is left in the Big12 and it is already a LOCK.
Who is paying for all of this?
Penn State would win the Big XII in football 3 out of 4 years. Your best team (Utah) lost to Northwestern in this past bowl game!
Let's see how they do against WV to start this season.
With a walk on QB playing the entire season and injuries across the board. This notion that losing 14-7 to Northwestern when you actually don't give context about all the injuries(maybe the most in college football) is somehow a slight. It isn't. Utah shouldn't have won 8 games last season with the talent they had unavailable.
@@tyandbrand yep. Non-playoff bowl games are now just a matter of whose star players decide to participate.
lol, Penn State sucks
Gobsmacked....I prefer Skull Drugged...
I promise you the B12 will become the premier conference very soon 🏆
Good luck with that. The SEC and B1G might not agree.
No chance. Which is why you give ZERO ways or means of HOW it will do that.
Michigan, Oregon, USC, Penn State, Ohio State, Washington, CFP- Michigan State, Resurgent Nebraska, Wisconsin That’s half of the B1G without getting into the second tier.
If they add FSU and Clemson to an already overpowered league it will be insane. 9-3 will be a playoff season.
I'll believe in a resurgent Nebraska when I actually see it. They've been irrelevant for quite a long time now.
Michigan State is another question mark.
Big 12: “schools of that ilk” …really John?!
Like to see Iowa state in big 12 title game.
I like your thinking
I like your thinking
Big 10 "bottom feeders" = most of the Big 12. Kansas, ISU and KSU would get out physical'd by most of the Big Ten if they played them week in week out.
Everybody knows the bottom of the B1G is the weakest of all the conferences.
It's all in your head
Omg. The Big 12 is FAR MORE physical than you realize. The majority of the Big 10 would get its teeth kicked in week after week in the Big 12. Just because you play tard punt ball doesn’t mean you’re remotely tough.
the bottom of the Big 10 is unique trash like Maryland, Northwestern, Minnesota, Rutgers, UCLA, Illinois, Michigan st, Purdue, Indiana, are NOT competing in the big 12.
Example A : TCU dropped 51 on Michigans head. The BIG is TRASH aside from the top 5 schools.
Now the SEC is different a mid level SEC school could go to the B12 championship but the lower level BIG school ? stop smoking coke.
@@davidb3422 All the respect to the Big 12. I can't take that take seriously. Utah thinks they are going to own the Big 12 when they got out physicaled by Northwestern during their bowl game. The only "bottom feeder" team that really is beatable by the Big 12 is Nebraska because they find ways to lose.
