Peacock blows. My buddy texted "touchdown"! I had to wait 2-3 minutes to see it.
People are not realistic about things, they want Ohio State to give up 0 yards on defense and score touch down with in 5 plays on offense, and even if they did that they would still find something to be mad about. This is what happens with team early in season when they introduce a lot of new people into the offense and defense, it’s not always perfect. That’s why we have early season with easier teams, but all that matters is they are doing what they are supposed to do. And we don’t want the team to peak this early in season or they will end up losing when matters the most aka end the season or in playoffs.
Respectfully players missing tackles against GA/Bama caliber players isn’t the same as missing tackles vs MSU caliber players
Right cause they're better robots. Bama and Georgia were running next to each other. Don't make excuses for what they allowed on defense.
When Quin runs, it’s so violent. Someone tackles him, then thinks twice the second time he comes around. Also, when the rbs sub mid series, it’s almost unfair and should be a penalty hahahaha
Truly believe the best is yet to come!
They were able to coast! I love that opening response.. I am happy with this team, I can't wait until mid season form and how scary they are going to be with Momentum man.. Caleb and ransom are animals. Burke is the king of the field and can pick it off @ anytime. The line is solid and will not let a big run go, or a QB take over with his legs. This defense is not going to allow a game to get out of hand, they get those turnovers and win that battle :) NO TEAM IS GOING TO STOP A B1G OR SEC TEAM EVERY SINGLE DRIVE! those are big fast boys to!
The Linebackers that are special are young and learning from the ones we have with experience and that brotherhood is strong. they are doing it for the dude beside them and it's obvious :) I've nothing to be upset or nit pick about.. People need to learn to stop taking everything and making it time to bench a great starter on defense. You'll not see all the good directly on TV
I have to add my opinions.. About the All star talk and the Heisman talk.. I think this offense and defense feels like a Coach Tress team mixed with the speed of a Coach Meyer team.. I think that's what Urban meant by 'Ryan Day is Elite' this is the Elite Day has been building towards. Day has been trying to be the best of the last 2 generations of coaching.. This team is exactly that and on pace to be the face of college football solely for the next decade.
We have the best running back Duo and WR core ever, especially this season. our Beanie, Pittman, Ginn Jr and Gonzo. Smith is crazy and the Heisman I think we can have on this offense. I think Will can be that JT Barrett type of QB and Justin Fields kind of QB we've been missing. Is he as fast? no but he is tough and can extend plays, can come back after a hit and do better than before the hit. Caleb Downs, Ransom and Burke are all Players that shadow what weve seen from silver bullets in the past. The Dline is an extended version of our lines in the past. Instead of just the bosa brothers, or just Chase young.. The talent is extended through the whole line! you can't double block the whole line and shut them down.. I didn't even get close to naming all of the talented player on this team, on this bench. This team is complete and by mid season! scary.
The Blocking I've seen more than just big plays is also something that makes me stress 0.. The blocking is on point and noone is screwing up a block. NOONE !!! Other teams are in trouble and I know it's been rough the last couple of years but they built to this. those hard times were for this and the years to come.
Sonny has no clue what is going on. Teams are just going to keep attacking him.
As much as I don't want to agree with this. I agree with this.
He’s home grown, a great kid, reclassified and is a legacy recruit. We all love him. But he is not a great foot player at this point. It’s a tuff pill to swallow. It really is. He was a sure thing if we’ve ever seen one.
This is very true… he’s just not playing well
Im beginning to see why other fanbases hate us. We are insufferable. So much whining, and expecting perfection. Its good to be spoiled but GOTDAMN!!!
I’m starting to hate us.
Too much rah rah cheerleading. There are many problems with the defense.
Sonny styles is a liability. And Jordan Hancock needs a come to Jesus. When Sonny is on the field he gets eaten alive in the pass
I think MSU played better than they have in 5 years... our players showed up, made plays. Go Bucks!!
Ryan took his foot off the gas early - in my opinion ? -- Seemed to me he was thinking IOWA in the 4th - even though that doesn't happen. -?- The shocking thing to me is what INDIANA has been doing ! - - - Can this team 'slow down' the top SEC teams ? Georgia Bama Texas & Tenn all appear pretty good !?! This Offense gives me more confidence than the D - just the opposite of the pre season - after 4 games ?!? Not certain this D is up to the task - just hoping. - - - PEACOCK SUCKS ! ! !
We are playing good football. We got things to work on but it’s September. We are going to have issues early into the season. That’s normal for anybody. October will be better and I’m sure November football will be on another level. Be patient! Go Bucks!🅾️
McCoy called him Jenkins
Quinshon Jenkins & Trevon Henderson lmao
Jj smith is better than Ryan Williams . Ryan’s great for a freshman . Jj is Optimus prime
JJ is phenomenal WR, but I’m also so impressed with him as an Individual, seems like absolutely great young man
Howard is QB1. Efficient and effective. JJ is Optimus Prime and saved DB with the insane one handed TD. Sayin looked great and is QB2. RBs and WRs BLOCKED. Finally DEFENSE wins Championships. D is averaging 6.5 pts a game. DOMINATE & ANNIHILATE. LFG BUCKS! NATTY OR BUST!
through four games the defense has allowed 3 second half point. That is insane no matter what the level of competition.
MSU will end up a better team than most people think. Barring injury, they are going to surprise a few teams. The hand wringing over the D seems a bit premature. Credit where credit is due. The scripted nature of the MSU offense was quite good. They folded and couldn’t hang eventually. I love the turnovers mainly because that will be the difference against an upper level team. Go watch the Bama UGA game. Bama turned them over 4 times, and they won the game.
That interior block by EE2 inside against an LB was a brutal statement.
There are so many people in these comments that know nothing about ball. The turnovers were MSU’s fault sure ok anything the defense does well is just MSU screwing up. It isn’t defensive players making plays on the ball.
All this analysis is based on vanilla schemes being used. It is all about execution. The only thing I can see is that tackling needs to improve! Rugby type tackling might help
Not sure why anyone is complaining about the offense. I love it. Defense? If there is an issue, it’s more Knowles scheme early. Then he adjusts and they look better. Bottom line is no team plays perfect games. Just win and move on.
So freaking true what Zach said … think back to 2014 when the buckeyes had to beat the three Heisman finalist in a row and we all know what happened🎉
The really sad thing is => we won’t know our status until it’s either too late (think last year when Sonny Styles missed Blake Corum and we lost The Game but our fans and media blamed Kyle McCord) or we’ll see a Cardale Jones or Maurice Clarett spectacular play that leads to a Natty.
I hope WH and SS and others will rise to the occasion BUT we’ve only done it twice in 50 years and 2014 was in spite of our Head Coach.
Still…..and always…. Go Bucks !!!
Longer season . The team & the coaches are locked in and improving . Plenty of time to build momentum . Hope we stay #3 to avoid national scrutiny .
Don't have your hobby be nitpicking this team to death .
Huge glaring weaknesses are there. Scheme with DB’s playing 10 yards off.line. Neither Simon or Styles able to cover in space. Both glaring openings for Oregon offense.
You don’t know what you’re talking about. They will beat Oregon by double digits. Then you will find something else to complain about
@@kevinlapthorn8969Both can be true.
@@kevinlapthorn8969you aren’t very good at this thinking thing are you.
There are things to clean up, but "glaring weakness" is an overreach.
100%
Linebackers are our weak link!
It's Sonny who is
@@powerhouse539 Cody is not playing great either. I know he stuffed chiles on the 4th and 1 but he was late to spots also.
The git treyveon name wrong also
LOL- either BAMA or UGA would shred our first half pass D and we would not have gotten the O on the field. The level of talent BAMA and UGA has is two levels minimally above MSU.
Then go be a GA or Bama fan. You'll complain about them too.
Yep OSU is gonna prepare for MSU at the same level as those teams. lol and yeah they are def. gonna use the same defensive scheme against those teams.
@@Kemeticthought clearly you cannot have a nuanced debate. Its scarlet colored or bust?
@@bradleywright202 The entire segment bringing up UGA and BAMA is misplaced because the talent level is clearly on a different plane That was my point.
we looked like a sieve in the first half so its def a concern. Not sure why we are playing 10 yards off the ball. We can cover but either are giving too much space or simply let a guy go unaddressed as he's coming off the line. So just something to watch....
Bogisich Courts
I still don’t think this OL is NC Caliber: RT Fryar will be abused badly against the Alabama/Georgia/Tenn. caliber DL’s - Also question whether OL as whole will be able to get consistent push/control at LOS in run game against top defenses - I stand by OSU dropping ball in Transfer Portal to bring in top RT/RG in offseason to complement the skilled position players
Yeah cuz there were so many quality right tackles in the portal.
Here we go traveling is hard night games are difficult probably going to rain got to Aaron Childs everyone has gotten to Aaron Childs what's new turnover machine. Please do not compare the Alabama and Georgia game two of the best teams in the country anyone that you have played thus far in your season that's absolutely ridiculous.
Punctuation is hard too.
🅾🌰🏈
ZB……the best Offense Ohio State has ever had was the last 3 games of the 2014 season.
Definitely not the 2014 team with JT Barrett => because he wasn’t beating BAMA nor Oregon (he lost to VT and couldn’t beat a depleted PSU Team in regulation => both were 7-6).
Tom Herman was able to smoothly transition our Offensive Scheme from a Run 1st Spread to a Pass 1st Spread and everything clicked.
How can you remain so obtuse, daft and clueless => in hindsight ?
Zach the defense does have weaknesses; run defense
MSU had 47 yards rushing what more do you want?
@ericroberts6453 They also aren't a good oline or great RBs. If we shut down Iowa's running game then that will be proof but right now I stick by my comment
MSU averaged over 4.5 yards a carry prior, they had under 1.9 yards a carry against OSU
@@buckguy720 and they didn't play anyone. We were their first real team.
@@heidelbergdawg6934talk about moving the goal post lol.
The D is suspect….MSU had self inflicted wounds that cost them at a minimum 14 points.
Self inflicted my ass. The defense forced turnovers. MSU didn't shoot themselves in the foot. OSU's defense did.
Maybe correct….doesn’t change the fact that MSU was able to move the ball down the field and into the red zone in the first half with relative ease.
Joel klatt is a hater. He’s almost as bad a Desmond Howard. Klatt LOVES MICHIGAN
I've called him out as a Missed-again Homer on his show a number of times.
Zach’s pretty funny here talking about AWAY GAMES…….
Most Away Games => he played very little but when he was a Senior and had switched positions and got a chance to start and play significant snaps => he was actually BETTER IN THE AWAY GAMES…!
I appreciate the chuckles man……I won’t call you a liar => because how you FELT and how you PLAYED are two very different things……..
Keep making excuses for the defense. This is becoming a trend of giving up a boat load of yards in first half's. What happens when you don't get those turnovers? What happens when you play a top ranked team? Why does it take an entire half to make adjustments? Jim Knowles has already cost us 1 national championship Georgia). Can you say Don Brown 2.0? He has a plethora of talent and experience on that side of the ball. But yet we are seeing an underwhelming performance. Do better!!!
MSU is a power 4 school they have scholarship d1 players too. They also had a highly rated wr and Chiles is expected to be really good.
3.3 average yards per play
195.6 yards per game
2nd in the nation in total defense
NOT BAD
Zach stop constantly trying to pump sunshine because it gets old and sounds forced. It starts to sound like excuses. I know it's your shtick but just give a real analysis
You want real analysis? They did what they had to do and won by 31 points on the road in a night time big 10 game. Did they give up plays? Sure did they make up for them? Yes. Did the offense roll? Yes. This hating on any positive play for an opposing team even if they’re blown out has to stop. It’s just insecurity at this point
@@JoeWill-t5i Thanks your analysis was brief but real and accurate, also not sure how it was hating on Sparty and where insecurity plays a part but keep getting after it bubba
Yeah Bama and UGA would destroy us rn
Bama and UGA just gave up 34 and 41 points respectively. UGA struggled with KY. Bama struggled for a half with USF. Why do they get a pass? Stop licking peanut butter off the SEC ball sacs - ESPN does that enough for everybody.
@@divjak8 You think Howard could hit deep shots on the UGA D like Milroe. He cant. OSU D would play well vs UGA offense. Bama would cause alot of issue for the D. Bama is the best team in the nation rn.
@@divjak8Kentucky's defense is really good
@@powerhouse539 I think our overall offensive scheme’s would be just fine against either one of those teams. UGA is nowhere close to who they’ve been recently and that was Milroe’s best game ever.
@@powerhouse539 do you think milroe was hitting a ton of good shots? Milroe was hitting the open man. We have 3 of those
