I live in Cali I hate both teams (especially SF) There would be major problems. Maybe later on down the line it wouldn’t matter but yeah. However, the rivalry itself would be entertaining
AFC North too. It makes more sense currently than this realignment. Pittsburgh is only two hours drive from Cleveland and fourish from both Baltimore and Cincinnati. The furthest distance is an 8 hour drive between Cincy and Baltimore. Obviously all the teams are flying a lot but Buffalo is kind of remote, it makes more sense for them to be in his Great Lakes Division.
Miss Tampa they were our fifth team despite thier early struggles by thier fourth season they made nfc championship game. Wish we could get Tampa or Dallas in NFC North Dallas has had good rivalry with Vikings since the 70s they met often in postseason whoever won was SB bound. Both teams made frequent appearances in that game only one time through the decade wAshington did a outside team make sb. Later pokes built up one with packers.. the nfc north is only division where the chief rival for every team is the bears. Wonder who chief rival for bears? Just a thought. Can be outside of division they had a heated rivalry with Duluth Eskimos/Washington redskins now commanders. Vikings tried to do an alternative Eskimo uniform nfl stopped them saying trademark belong to Washington. When they folded they were sold and turned out to be redskins upon deeper research. Loved the Eskimos uniform my grandfather had an original uniform in glass. If not the Bucs or Dallas would be Denver if we’re going by proximity.
I like it. Preserving the rivalries is the tough part. Maybe 6 division games, 3 rivalry games, 4 games vs a select rotating division and 4 games based on schedule.
As a Dolphins fan I like it but like i I said I’d prefer us in the Southeast Division but most likely the Jaguars will probably relocate to another city so it would be Dolphins Buccaneers Falcons and Panthers would the Dolphins move to the NFC or will the Buccaneers Falcons and Panthers would come to the AFC? Either way the NFL has to tweak the divisions and soon they gotta get it right so it can make sense geographically
Honestly, I would keep the AFC and the NFC. I would just switch a couple teams around for instance, I would put the Cowboys in the NFC south and the Panthers in the NFC East to make it make sense. I would also switch the Colts and the Dolphins between the AFC South and the AFC East.

The Dolphins would move to the AFC South. The Ravens would move to the AFC East. The Cowboys would move to the NFC South. The Panthers would move to the NFC East. The AFC West, NFC North, and NFC West would stay the same. Just my take.
You can’t have realignment based on geography and have two teams in the same city in separate divisions. This is how I would do it while basing it off both geography and rivals. 1. Seahawks, 49ers, Rams and Chargers 2. Raiders, Cardinals, Broncos and Chiefs. 3. Cowboys, Texans, Saints and Falcons. 4. Bears, Lions, Vikings, Packers 5. Dolphins, Bucs, Jaguars and Panthers. 6. Titans, Colts, Bengals, Browns. 7. Steelers, Ravens, Commanders, Eagles. 8. Jets, Giants, Bills, Patriots.
Great thought experiment! Instead of reinventing the wheel, I would have Dallas n Carolina swap. That alone fixes NFC. As for AFC… Dolphins joins South, Colts joins north, and Ravens joins East. Keeps consistency n allows for closer teams.
Actually, Baltimore could have escaped the division without penalty in 2002, only problem is, Cleveland was not going to let them off the hook; and they definitely took advantage of the proximity between Pittsburgh and Baltimore too, to get the Rooney's on their side.
Having the teams be located as close as possible is a cool idea. Like you said this is actually more eco friendly, and would even save teams money on traveling (owners are always cheap, even if they are billionaires). I don't think both NY city teams should be in the same division, that's just like giving each of them an extra home game every year, not fair to the rest of the league competitively.
The NFL needs a big shake up, some divisions are extremely weak. Teams with a losing record should not be allowed into playoffs ahead of teams with wining records.
I disagree with the lions not being in with the other NFC North teams, I may be a biased Packers fan but that division is perfect travel wise, plus you'll keep all the rivalries in that division. Other than that I like it, it's always bugged me that cowboys travel so far for a divisional game
My proposal would be: West Coastal - LAC, LAR, SF, SEA Gulf - DAL, HOU, NO, ATL Midwest - GB, CHI, DET, MIN Southwest - ARZ, LV, DEN, KC EAST Southeast - CAR, MIA, JAX, TB Northeast - BUF, NE, NYG, NYJ Mid-Atlantic - PHI, PIT, BAL, WSH Central - TEN, CIN, CLE, IND Still gives a nice geographic split while preserving a decent number of rivalries and turning some geographic rivals into divisional as well: DAL/HOU/NO, BUF/NYG, NYG/NE, PIT/PHI, BAL/WSH, FLAx3. Could be really fun lol
@@youtubeemployeesarestupid3464 yeah, you have a good point with the timezone. I debated on Atlanta for the longest of any team for sure. Falcons and Titans each would fit very well with Texas/NO. In the end, I decided it close enough geographically that it was worth it to keep the ATL/NO rivalry in tact. Atlanta being eastern time is a very good argument to make the swap, though.
I'd love if Madden or some other NFL game would let us have owner votes on things like realignments, new teams, rule changes, etc. There are many other sports games out there that allow for some form of regulation changes in their off-seasons.
The stupidest part is the Indianapolis colts in the afc south are further north than the cincinati bengals and Baltimore ravens who are both in the afc north.
As a Dolphins fan living in Atlanta, I wish we and the Falcons played in the same diction and had a rivalry. I would love the chance to go to a game a year.
I'm a diehard Dolphins fan in Orlando, but I would definitely consider doing the drive to Atlanta every season for that game if it was real. Simply because that stadium in Atlanta is so amazing. Hard Rock is great too but I'm not sure that many are on the level of Mercedes Benz Stadium.
This is a great idea. It’s never made sense to me why the Cowboys are in the East division. And the Rangers are in the West division even tho their stadiums are RIGHT next to each other.
Dude... So close... Pacific: SF, LAR, LAC, SEA (all WC teams) Central: LV, AZ, DEN, KC (division stays pretty much the same, but swaps AZ for LAC) Southern: DAL, TEX, NO, ATL North: MIN, GB, CHI, DET (division stays the same) Mideast: CLE, IND, CIN, TEN Northeast: NYG, NYJ, NE, PHI Atlantic: BUF, PIT, BAL, WAS Southeast: MIA, TB, JAX, CAR
Watching this now is crazy because the 2 and 7 niners Seahawks actually played. Bengals are going to play the bills. And the most likely final 4 are facing eachother just in different conferences. Basically 2 super bowls
the cowboys and texans should be in the same divison, we already hate each other due to instate rivalry, so it would be great to play each other twice a year
If any one does remember.. DALLAS was suppose to move division back in 95 when Carolina and Jacksonville join the league BUT Jerry threw a tantrum because of his rival games which didn't make sence.... Dallas was to be in the NFC south moving Carolina up into the east but Jerry 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Like a baby... Look now they would win that division every year
bro this is crazy. the final 4 teams in the conference championships are actually in the real life conference championships, just swap 49ers and Bengals and it’s EXACT
A SuperBowl simulation so realistic, it even includes horrible clock and timeout management. Could have had an extra 16 seconds to work with if the Eagles called their first timeout before the 4th down play.
I like the Idea of realinging the leauge but I don't think a leauge wide Divison split has to actually happen to shake things up. NFC North, and West can stay the same and the South can add the Cowboys and lose the Panthers in a exchange. In the AFC the west stays the same, the east can lose the Dolphins in exchange for the Steelers, and the South gets the Fins so that leaves the newly renamed AFC North to the AFC Central with the Ravens, Colts, Bengals and Browns. This makes the Cowboys and Fins debacle a lot more manageable but still leaves the west with some citys for possible expansion.
This works pretty well. For the video I took total travel distance in consideration over anything, so there’s definitely other possibilities which could be more fitting
@@Deansworldyt yeah I liked your idea as well in the case they wanted to ditch the AFC NFC idea incase they expanded outside of the USA since travel costs are important when it comes to that.
You're close. How about sending the Ravens to the AFC East, thus swapping out the Dolphins to the AFC South, and the Colts head to the AFC North, thus making the geographical locations completed?
Nice video! I would’ve swapped the Raiders and Chargers since the Chargers are actually on the Pacific. And you also paired the New York teams so pairing the LA teams would make sense as well
I didn't know the NFL only played high school schedules I thought there were 17 weeks that they played and one week off must just be 14 game seasons... Do a little more research before you make a video like this it would be way more entertaining if you set the seedings in the playoff bracket right with the Vikings being 11-3 on the season tying with the Chiefs in your scenario it would still put them at the #2 seed.... UA-cam plz don't recommend this channel for me ever again.
I don't think realignment should happen outside of an expansion. Not even just because of rivalries, but because the approach is always overated. Also, Western and Eastern conferences suck. I do think one of the worst aspects of Madden is how little creative freedom you get. You can move the Chargers to London and that's. . It. They have to play the Raiders twice a year. It's not even about realism as much as it is about fantasy and fun. Nevermind multiplayer leagues.
Two teams that share a stadium should never be in the same division. Put the giants in atlantic and move either commanders or ravens to northeast and it's perfect.
You can't have the Chargers and Rams in two different divisions they both share a stadium I personally would have switched the Raiders and Chargers but overall I like what you did. I'd make a few more changes than that but that's just me. I'd personally love if they did a division realignment especially after teams moving to different places like the Rams, Chargers and Raider did recently This part is off topic but madden should make it possible to realign divisions like you can in NBA 2k when you are doing franchise mode.

NFC West: San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals
The Colts would move to the AFC North.
The Dolphins would move to the AFC South.
The Ravens would move to the AFC East.
The Cowboys would move to the NFC South.
The Panthers would move to the NFC East.
The AFC West, NFC North, and NFC West would stay the same.
Just my take.
ARI AND LAC SWITCHED
Fun video, with an interesting concept. As a Chiefs' fan I definitely approve of the final result of the simulation.
You can’t have realignment based on geography and have two teams in the same city in separate divisions. This is how I would do it while basing it off both geography and rivals.
1. Seahawks, 49ers, Rams and Chargers
2. Raiders, Cardinals, Broncos and Chiefs.
3. Cowboys, Texans, Saints and Falcons.
4. Bears, Lions, Vikings, Packers
5. Dolphins, Bucs, Jaguars and Panthers.
6. Titans, Colts, Bengals, Browns.
7. Steelers, Ravens, Commanders, Eagles.
8. Jets, Giants, Bills, Patriots.
steelers and commanders in the same division would be crazy
Great thought experiment! Instead of reinventing the wheel, I would have Dallas n Carolina swap. That alone fixes NFC. As for AFC… Dolphins joins South, Colts joins north, and Ravens joins East. Keeps consistency n allows for closer teams.
Fun fact: The AFC North cannot break apart legally. They all must be together. You can thank Art Modell for that.
Link or info? This sounds interesting
Actually, Baltimore could have escaped the division without penalty in 2002, only problem is, Cleveland was not going to let them off the hook; and they definitely took advantage of the proximity between Pittsburgh and Baltimore too, to get the Rooney's on their side.
If you think the current divisions make no sense go see pre realignment. Cardinals in the NFC east and Atlanta in the NFC west
As a ravens fan I would love to see a 2 matchups with the bills every year
That matchup wouldn't be good for the ravens just sayin
I didnt realize Ravens fans were masochists.
@@ii-kingfancy-ll3915 did u forget ravens were kicking bills ass this year
Steelers fan the Ravens railvary with us is very historic so many memories so glad they put us in the same group
Having the teams be located as close as possible is a cool idea. Like you said this is actually more eco friendly, and would even save teams money on traveling (owners are always cheap, even if they are billionaires).
I don't think both NY city teams should be in the same division, that's just like giving each of them an extra home game every year, not fair to the rest of the league competitively.
well it is kind of because they may be getting an extra home game, but the other team also has homefield advantage`
What are the odds of the final 4 being 100% spot on 😳 chiefs & eagles Super Bowl matchup ?? I guess we’ll find out next Sunday
This is how it should work:
Patriots, Jets, Giants, Bills
Eagles, Ravens, Commodores, Steelers
Lions, Bengals, Colts, Browns
Falcons, Panthers, Titans, Jaguars
Dolphins, Buccaneers, Saints, Texans
Packers, Bears, Vikings, Chiefs
Cowboys, Broncos, Cardinals, Raiders
Chargers, Rams, Seahawks, 49ers
love this....maybe do this again after the season finishes? :)
My proposal would be:
West
Coastal - LAC, LAR, SF, SEA
Gulf - DAL, HOU, NO, ATL
Midwest - GB, CHI, DET, MIN
Southwest - ARZ, LV, DEN, KC
EAST
Southeast - CAR, MIA, JAX, TB
Northeast - BUF, NE, NYG, NYJ
Mid-Atlantic - PHI, PIT, BAL, WSH
Central - TEN, CIN, CLE, IND
Still gives a nice geographic split while preserving a decent number of rivalries and turning some geographic rivals into divisional as well: DAL/HOU/NO, BUF/NYG, NYG/NE, PIT/PHI, BAL/WSH, FLAx3.
NFL 2K5 actually let you realign the NFL, it'd be fun to see a video in there with these divisions
I'd love if Madden or some other NFL game would let us have owner votes on things like realignments, new teams, rule changes, etc.
There are many other sports games out there that allow for some form of regulation changes in their off-seasons.
Please watch my upload of espn nfl 2k5 gameplay. And tell your friends to do the same ❤️
The stupidest part is the Indianapolis colts in the afc south are further north than the cincinati bengals and Baltimore ravens who are both in the afc north.
If the Rangers and Astros are in the same division than the cowboys and texans should also be
As a Bengals fan, getting to play those teams would be nice, but our tough division is what has made us strong. Otherwise, who dey!
Bro what you mean the only tough team to beat in the AFC north is the ravens
@Pulse Sw1ft this isn't typical though and the AFC North is always brutal. Typically the only underdog is Cleveland but that may change with Watson
I LOVE this!!! Who cares about traditional rivalries? Shale things up!
This is literally what it looks like this year just switched San Francisco 49ers are playing the Eagles and the Bengals are playing Kansas
You mean bengals??
"The Cowboys lose at home in the playoffs: nothing new here" - three syllables short of a Haiku, still plenty poetic
Bro completely remakes the divisions and gets the same teams in the championships and Super Bowl and same and winner
Bro completely switched divisions and conferences and still predicted the conf title games
Funny how it came down to the actual final 4 teams this season
Dude... So close...
Pacific: SF, LAR, LAC, SEA (all WC teams)
Central: LV, AZ, DEN, KC (division stays pretty much the same, but swaps AZ for LAC)
Southern: DAL, TEX, NO, ATL
North: MIN, GB, CHI, DET (division stays the same)
Mideast: CLE, IND, CIN, TEN
Northeast: NYG, NYJ, NE, PHI
Atlantic: BUF, PIT, BAL, WAS
Southeast: MIA, TB, JAX, CAR
I would switch the Chargers and put them in the Pacific and put the Raiders in the Central
Watching this now is crazy because the 2 and 7 niners Seahawks actually played.
Bengals are going to play the bills. And the most likely final 4 are facing eachother just in different conferences. Basically 2 super bowls
Bro gave us a spoiler of the super bowl
As a cowboys fan unfortunately in Colorado I like this
You cant use the old division wins to decide who is in first you would have to replay all the division games
Creative ideas and exciting conclusion. Got my like, comment, and sub! Nicely done!
the cowboys and texans should be in the same divison, we already hate each other due to instate rivalry, so it would be great to play each other twice a year
The NFC north is the only one that is geographically accurate. That's probably because it's the oldest one.
Ironically, Philly-KC could still be the SB matchup this year lol
It would be a good game. Except the media would be insufferable, constantly droning on about Andy Reid facing his old team.
There could be a philly cowboys sb which would be fun
If any one does remember.. DALLAS was suppose to move division back in 95 when Carolina and Jacksonville join the league BUT Jerry threw a tantrum because of his rival games which didn't make sence.... Dallas was to be in the NFC south moving Carolina up into the east but Jerry 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Like a baby... Look now they would win that division every year
Why is this so realistic
Thanks for that. As a new NFL fan, this makes more sense to me.
I'm going to do this in Retro Bowl and see how it goes
Here is mine feel free to ask questions...
AFC NORTH: Vikings, Packers, Lions, Browns
NFC NORTH: Bills, Giants, Jets, Patriots
AFC CENTRAL: Broncos, Chiefs, Titans, Falcons
NFC CENTRAL: Bears, Colts, Bengals, Panthers
AFC SOUTH: Raiders, Cardinals, Cowboys, Texans
NFC SOUTH: Saints, Jaguars, Buccaneers, Dolphins
AFC WEST: Seahawks, 49ers, Rams, Chargers
NFC EAST: Steelers, Eagles, Ravens, Commanders
Great vid loved it ❤
bro this is crazy. the final 4 teams in the conference championships are actually in the real life conference championships, just swap 49ers and Bengals and it’s EXACT
Why do you have the Raiders in Reno NV????
@@DieYuppiieSkum that's not a bad idea either keeps the east to the east and the north to the north/central
@@oracle5200 precisely and having close rivalries, rather than going too far out.
Putting the patriots in the giants division will just strengthen that intense rivalry of New York Vs Massachusetts carrying over from baseball
The current NFC west and NFC north both make perfect sense
Nice video. Can definitely tell you put a lot of time into this. Great work
You have the Raiders in Reno instead of Vegas...
“This realignment would shave off thousands of miles in flight travel”
NFL: creates a new division in Europe
Atlanta in the WESTERN conference?
17 Eastern Time Zone teams (out of 32) as someone mentioned.
I like everything except the midwest, it should stay the same
I can see that, the nfc north is probably the most perfect nfl division, just had to switch it up for videos sake
Amazing video man, congrats🎉
Why are the Raiders in Reno?
Two teams that share a stadium should never be in the same division. Put the giants in atlantic and move either commanders or ravens to northeast and it's perfect.
You can't have the Chargers and Rams in two different divisions they both share a stadium I personally would have switched the Raiders and Chargers but overall I like what you did.
I'd make a few more changes than that but that's just me.
I'd personally love if they did a division realignment especially after teams moving to different places like the Rams, Chargers and Raider did recently
This part is off topic but madden should make it possible to realign divisions like you can in NBA 2k when you are doing franchise mode.
I've always thought the same thing about the NFL! Thanks for making this vid
Why only 14 games
Eagles Queefs SB !
Wow spot on even the outcome by 1 score
