So, 2 years later, do you recommend the 93sv for purchase today (I can get a great deal) and how did your Scotty mount hold up to that big ol' GT54 'ducer? Thx!
If you see future videos I purchased a second 93sv! And the Scotty held up fine. I have since added the ducer to the bottom of my yak risking I wreck it. But Scotty Mount worked great for two full seasons of 40+ days on the water.
The Garmin units capable for live scope start at the UHD73. I’d recommend the UHD93 if you can afford it. Or some say they prefer the quality resolution from the 102sv or the 122sv. As far as Humminbird all the mega stuff starts at the Helix 7 as long as it’s gen4 or above. Congrats on the new rig and hope I helped answer some graph stuff.
It works great. Like with anything you have to tweak your graph and know how to read it. If you’re worried about the speed difference you can adjust the scroll speed to be slower. I use auto and have no issues at all.
For the features vs others the 93sv is the best value. Yes, it is a steep price tag compared to entry level units ($179.99). But if you want more than just a depth and basic map, this unit is the best for the money.
That looks like an awesome fish finder!
For the price, you can’t find one with all the capabilities and touch screen. I did extensive research and it truly it can’t be beat

I'm about to invest in a old town autopilot 136. What size hummingbird or Garmin and model do they offer for active target or live scope options.

How does the side imaging work with the slow movement of a Kayak?

Nice. But damned expensive.
