The reason why the channel is growing so fast is rather ominous for the world… I’d be willing to bet it’s going to grow a lot more in the coming days… The lake is dropping much much faster than the news we got just a month ago, and less than a year after a federal emergency was declared it looks to be coming to and end after 30 years of declining pool… it looks doubtful they’ll make it to the next spring melt… unfortunately….

Brand new. 12 hours later it looked like it somebody had sand blasted it in a body shop..

All the drought is from deforestation around the world. It's causing the ground to warm and lower the moisture levels through heat. As much as companies have said for years "global warming is caused by fossil fuels"....it's really not. It's cause from deforesting, especially the rain forests. And this essentially affects every other place on earth. The ones who will suffer first is desert communities like this. And then the prairies. And next the forests. We are already slowly seeing the effects all around the world. The prairies can no longer suffice to grow food because the soil is so dry and even with irrigation it cannot retain the moisture long enough before evaporation. And the dry from winds. The forests now burn from spring to winter. It's just funny how hard the environmental companies come at the oil companies. When the ones who have deforested the most without replanting (Oil companies in North America replant the entirety of what they deforest) are actually companies building consumer grade products and non essentials. All these problems could easily be solved if we had competent people in the world that didn't just worry about profits. But , they're busy worrying about releasing a new iphone every year instead of building an iphone that is good for 15+ with the latest technologies, and cars that will be obsolete within a year because the next generation is out next year....and so on. It's actually crazy how stupid people truly are.

I’ve seen these round holes in dried up areas where it’s cracked and thought they were getting stuck in those round holes and boiling. I have caught stripers at Lake Mead when the shad are boiling by throwing a
chrome/prizum Krockadile spoon and working it through the boil. That is the funnest kind of striper fishing there is.

I know the sport of fishing but instead of hassling with launch, poles and bait, I'm just going to pick the fish from the dry ground! At the rate the lake is drying up. I'll get to do this, say, in about couple of weeks?
