  • October is always a month I look forward to, yet this year didn't go to plan as although it started of well, and I managed to cram a few guiding days in zander fishing, the last couple of weeks, which should have been an all out boat attack on the Thames went belly up, literally, as just as I was hoping to hit the predators I went down with a stomach bug which put me out of action for the best part of a month. Fully recovered now, and the rains have come making launching an a small inflatable, well not sensible.
Let's hope November is somewhat kinder and the boat gets some action, yet if it doesn't the grayling fishing kicks in and lets face it, there's no better way to spend a few hours than roving the Test and Itchen for the 'lady of the Stream'.
Fingers crossed it will be cold winter and if the first few days of Nov are anything to go by, it =might well be!

Great video again, just showing the true ups and downs of our passion. duncan in relation to the muck boots what are they like on steep river banks for grip, i fish the wye and always struggle to find a waterproof boot with good grip. your feedback would be appreciated, many thanks

Hi Allan, so sorry for not responding, so many ways these days of communicating, luckily the holiday period lets us delve into new areas, hence your comment seen. Unfortunately I don't fish steep bank venues such as the Wye but can honestly say that wherever I go they don't let me down, warmth, grip or being waterproof, hope this helps!
