honestly i'de say always try to get a jump slam, because it makes you move stupidly fast and doesn't give the opponent any time to react to you moving in
Probably depends on context, if they have nothing to deal with it, may as well get in 10 extra damage, if they have widow or cc then probably jump slam
Hundreds of mystery hero matches and I finally understood his mechanics so thank you for this guide. It was a lot of help because he’s the least FPS like character and the positioning and mindset is so different this makes a lot of sense now
Nightmare 704 He’s the hardest hero to master, but he’s easy to get used to. The only thing people struggle with before mastering Doomfist is Rollouts, otherwise as long as you learn the combos and have good awareness and reaction time than you should be fine. I started to main Doomfist in Plat and fully mastered him in 2 weeks, by watching Brandito and playing quickplay a lot. I went from Plat to GM in a week after mastering Doomfist. Very effective DPS
"By charging your abilites and then angle and being unpredictable when engaging and then meeting at the point of engagement, you're going to be fine" Great advice, not vague at all lol. The rest of the video was great though so ty.
but brandito has rocket punch manipulation that allows him to manoeuvre where ever he wants PLUS a god like understanding of maps eg perching on top of buildings even if its really high up, most typical people can't do that and it gives me a headache even thinking of learning such things EVEN with his training videos. He knows doomfist so well he can bully pharah that people with sniping capabilities already find it hard to deal with
I like how when THIS channel makes content the video associated with the audio is connected, and isn’t just some overwatch game playback and a shitty script. Well put together, well sectioned, well organized. Overall 8/10 because this is helpful but I’m not laughing
Just go into practise and test out different sensis that’s how u get a good feel I play 2/3 of the cast and never needing of changing because I already know wat to look out for
Pharah should'nt really be to big of a problem cause if you could get in a really good spot and do a rollout to the pharah you could tilt them. Also with Sombra just be more aware of her, shoot through tight spaces and doors and if that doesn't work out for you play a little less aggressive so you won't get hacked going in the enemy team and play a little bit more defensive
"Doomfist caters to my less than optimal mechanics" wtf? Doomfist is a super mechanically demanding hero unless played at the most base level, in which you'll most likely get gold tops.
Love the guide i already knew most of all tips but still was fun to get a refreshment on them I would add to the guide is who to avoid and who to pressure as the hero
Only thing I would disagree with is always using your unlocked E unless you need to close space. If I’m facing a mccree, I want to get my shield up ASAP to not get one shot by flash fan. So if I use my unlocked e you are in the air much longer, and you may have more damage but that doesn’t matter if you get stunned and immediately die. Also there are a good amount of situations where I will use my unlocked e even when I need to close distance. Say there is a zenyatta on the ground and I’m much higher up, but still a decent distance Away. I might use my unlocked e to get the 125 damage into shift to burst him down immediately, whereas if I used my locked e, I might not get the extra damage to kill him as fast
7:09 You're not wrong but I'd just like to say if your McRee is about to kill something then It will probably die anyway. Your punch would do enough damage to kill it if a McRee is able to kill it.
@Blizzardguides you should show gameplay examples of what your explaining instead of random gameplay. Would be helpful especially for last tip, didn't fully understand (idk I think I did...).
NoFearSavage Jos settings don’t really need to be changed much. I use a farely big circle as a reticle but thats pretty much it. Also try to use a high sensitivity. It helps with turning during slam and flicking close range shots
I found it difficult to process what you were saying for most of the video. I think it was a combination of you talking too fast / not concisely, and also not showing footage that clearly shows the concepts you discuss. But I did take away some useful things, namely the use of abilities as engagement and disengagement tools, and being unpredictable and positioning during engagements.
For DF players, is it bad to remap slam and uppercut to side buttons on a mouse? I'm using a Razer with slam mapped to the first side button and uppercut to the second, but I'm curious to see if I should go back to keys if it helps with accuracy and reaction speed and what not.
For things like remapping, it's purely individual preference. For example, if you're more confident and comfortable mapping your abilities to your keypad for whatever reason, then there's no harm in doing such.
What hero guide or other kind of guide do you wanna see next?
Play styles for every hero.
Or something like that.
Maybe IT could be a series

Hi @nate
Great video, I hope it can be a series, I'd like to see a tank guide
Some sort of sombra guide but sombra isn't that hard to play

remember when doomfist was a troll pick

He still is if you arent kinda good with him

honestly i'de say always try to get a jump slam, because it makes you move stupidly fast and doesn't give the opponent any time to react to you moving in
Thats what i was thinking too. Your so much easier to hit when doing an arching slam.
Probably depends on context, if they have nothing to deal with it, may as well get in 10 extra damage, if they have widow or cc then probably jump slam
Tobin Nickle-Lott exactly what i thought
I'd agree because its much more consistent. Its much easier to miss the "no jump" slam.
A good Player will still be able to react
Hundreds of mystery hero matches and I finally understood his mechanics so thank you for this guide. It was a lot of help because he’s the least FPS like character and the positioning and mindset is so different this makes a lot of sense now
I love that he used Branditos footage and no Chipsa, lmao. #greasy
The most bad ass character in the overwatch lore imo
true facts
Doomfist is probably one of the hardest yet most fun character in the game
I really would like to main him as my dps but I'm a self consius bronce who plays easy and low risk heroes to awoid bein a problem for my team

#4 was a very big help! I've been doing it wrong all this time and now I know how to get that elevation on my escapes. Thanks!
What helped me the most as a newbie doomfister was the engagement sections.
My question is what’s the best sensitivity and overall settings for Doomfist?
little slower than genji.. 180 slams are vital but too fast and you can get lost mid combo
Just go into practise and test out different sensis that’s how u get a good feel I play 2/3 of the cast and never needing of changing because I already know wat to look out for
Maximum =P
Best settings are these you are used too.
Holy cow I'm going to have to watch this video five times just to understand it all.
Wish I could use these tips, the issue is, whenever I do well as doomfist, the enemy go sombra and pharah, then my team screams at me to go hitscan
Pharah should'nt really be to big of a problem cause if you could get in a really good spot and do a rollout to the pharah you could tilt them. Great Doomfist guide! I use him as DPS so I'll try these out and better my fist.
What i would have loved: Make the most important tips visual. For example write on the screen when you show a combo. Great video!
Learning Doomfist as I'm running a Fight Stick, and well, he's the only one deserving. Thanks for the tips Nate!
Nice vid i think this’ll help me! Could you do a genji guide next?

Blizzard 2018: Here we have doomfist!
Damn, I didn't know about the jump after punch, now I get how frkng doomfists are so annoying sometimes
