I do not recommend dashing into enemies and then using blade, as you will most likely dash straight into the enemies crosshair and take a shit load of damage. And ulting with low health is suicide, trust me I know from experience.
Nathan never said dash into the enemy team then Dragon Blade. The combos he explained said to dash, Ult, then dash into the enemy team when your ALREADY using your Ult.
You dont dash straight to them you dash up ans blade midair and dash and destroy
If you are trying to pick off somebody on the back line such as a zen or Ana it isn’t the worst idea

I actually like dashing through them, if I don't get a form of damage boost I can dash, slash, dash which will kill a 200hp target
How to destroy Genji:
1. Whop out Brigitte.
2. Shield bash.
3. Genji dead.
Tamu Audwodia or maybe 1. Get a good Winston in your team (it could be you)

For 2:10, you don't actually have to be the correct distance apart from your target. What I do with this combo, is I dash at the enemy's feet and look up slightly. This completes the combo and works extremely well against tracers if if timed correctly (especially if the shurikens land headshots).

Another unorthodox combo i like to do is Dash-melee for 80, (from behind) then animation cancel the melee into Dragonblade, then slash for 120
The reason is because normally after you melee, you can't do anything else and have to wait for the animation to finish before your next action. The only exception is that you can activate dragonblade immediately after using melee, so what would normally be downtime after your melee is now being cancelled by your unsheathing of dragonblade.
Dash melee 80,
Slash 120
=200
But if its a 250 hp hero, then you can add the extra dash.
Dash melee 80
Slash dash 170
= 250
But lets face it, every 250 hp hero counters genji anyway xD
Both versions of this combo, i only usually do it from the side or behind their back... Simply because if you dash melee in the back then double jump while unsheathing the blade, you'll be behind AND above them, making it really hard for them to do a 180 and kill/ CC you before you land a single slash.

Phil Mihaly Usually it helps to just fan+melee+blade because it just adds extra damage with no extra cost. In most circumstances, you can fan before any ability to sneak in some more damage
If you are really nuts you could do dash right click dragonblade slash while canceling the right click like in the 190 burst combo

Blizzard Guides I never really play DPS but realise that if I can play a good DPS I can play my tanks that little bit better through knowing what they can do. So if you can work through the more difficult to play heroes like tracer and doomfist that would be quite nice

Dash rmb melee can also be used into blade instantly. And a very niche but useful tip to know is that wallclimbing cancels the delay of meleeing, allowing you to perform another action faster :D

@BlizzardGuides I just switched to pc. While I was trying to get comfortable with the PC controls I found a new combo I haven't seen anyone talk about yet. I was playing Genji and the new combo I found out went like this:
Right Click + Melee + Ultimate (To cancel the melee animation)
Then you can start swinging away.

I know almost every combo in this video except the dash fan melee.. Most of the combos I learned it myself too though.

The dash fan melee I find REALLY unreliable due to it being pretty situational so I use fan dash melee which does a quick 108 dmg which then you can fan until their dead or deflect either one really helps me get kills
Tracer’s blink management would be a good one. More specifically, how to be unpredictable with the blinks. I usually tend to just blink past them shoot and repeat.
When dashing up into the air to pop Blade don't use your double jump before dashing up into the air. Save the double jump and use it right as you are pulling out your blade to allow another half second to acquire targets.
also: you can melee before using dragonblade to animation cancel then slash and dash for a 200hp deal of damage
You can do number 5 (2:10) but with headshots instead to do a 248 instakill combo and if you pull it off correctly you can even not put in the melee to have less downtime.

watching necros play genji is so satisfying , and no he isn't fucking scripting as Jayne , an analyst made a full video explaining it's just 1 clip and it can happen. Even GENJI mains , not randy tracer or tank main pros , like shadder said its only a clip.

the dash+m2+melee doesnt have to be the right distance, just dash to the enemy feet then flick quiclky at their head then melee, its an instant kill. it just needs practice

This is my tank shredder, fan dash fan melee
I was a plat genji main, learned to ghost dash now in masters
Another pro genji tip:press q and immediately climb a wall quickly to cancel the animation and make your movement harder to predict!
You can also use this and dash towards the top of a wall below a widow or someone on high ground and ult+climb up to them and pop up right in their face without showing where you were first
1/3 is knowing these tricks, 2/3 is seeing the situations where you can use these and then pulling them off, so practice these in comp and quick play with actual players that move unpredictability
