why didn't the SP carry over between rounds? isn't that the whole point of shadow characters?

This is the version that's on PC/PS4/Switch, on the "2.5 patch." One of the major changes about shadows in this patch is that SP does not carry over rounds, instead shadows can frenzy in the form of burst (similar to regular characters). Shadows can use this frenzy no matter how many SP they have as long as they have burst
