i'd like to apologize for how unorganized the clips, as they are not ordered by investment. so if you have a question about a particular combo, please leave a comment with the time stamp lmao anyway i don't claim these combos as optimal, but hopefully these combos gives you an idea on what to do if you bait your opponent's burst!

I've played Persona 3 Portable many times years ago, but this is the first time I'm playing it with Japanese voices and I gotta say, the shrine visit scene is quite funny and made the dialogue stand out

vs kanji, aigis, and yukari that one yukari match was one match of my ft10 with deus! the outcome of that was i narrowly won 10-9! i'm very positive that i'll lose the next set we play because his improvement is amazing and i haven't really been improving myself haha

frenzy combos that go beyond the "standard" frenzy into B dive there's probably more high(er) damaging combos, but off c grab i've concluded that you won't get a lot of damage

a lot of the frenzy combos basically are the same routes, but this video showcases shadow kanji's ability to get over 5k damage on basically any touch! I didn't include this in any of the combos, but at high leftover meter when you go into chair super, it's possible to add 5C-5[B] after cancelling the second hit of chair super. the timing is extremely tight, but you can cancel into SB command g...

why didn't the SP carry over between rounds? isn't that the whole point of shadow characters?
This is the version that's on PC/PS4/Switch, on the "2.5 patch." One of the major changes about shadows in this patch is that SP does not carry over rounds, instead shadows can frenzy in the form of burst (similar to regular characters). Shadows can use this frenzy no matter how many SP they have as long as they have burst

Great vid man! You don't see burst bait combos that often (especially at lower level play) so this was very interesting to see! Definitely have to be ready for them though to take full advantage lol.

Yeah sadly I think it's more common for kanji because we don't have a moveset that can naturally or intentionally bait bursts Kanji's burst baiting is more difficult to do in a way :(
@@simpsonhead3 my favorite scenario is the sb tackle counter hit wall bounce and i get the 5aa pick up. People get so scared and burst. Kanji is so fun... Burst baiting feels all the more rewarding cause he's bad at it.

Love your vids! I am also a kanji player but have a hard time dealing with marglet alllllllllll the time.... may I ask what would you do into a marg player?
Thank you! I unfortunately don't really ever play against margaret at all these days, and even when I do, I'm pretty bad against her! So instead, I'll post some tips from more skilled kanji players than me from the discord I'm in: It's best you play very defensively - try to not approach her and stay out of her 5B range! In the meantime, try to observe how the margaret will control the space. Make her approach you! You will need to be good on defense. She's honestly really good at punishing your mistakes, so do your best to not get frustrated and make a bad move. Your DP is a poor defensive option in this matchup, so use it very carefully to punish her 2A and 5B. Her meter-less pressure is not too tough to block against, but be careful if she does have meter because you will need to guess on blocking if she decides to use it. Break her persona whenever you dodge her grab move (5D), but don't focus on trying to break her persona. Her pressure and offense makes it tough to break all of her cards if they playing decently Sorry I can't provide much of my own personal tips! Those were great matches! I never get tired of those Shadow combos to finish off the round. I also like seeing the different combo routes depending on the situation, especially the combo loop in the corner with the Fatal Counter against the Kanji mid video. Really good stuff man!

Nice corner combo at the corner on game one, but i have a question, it doesnt the DP into super nerfs the damage? or it really adds up damage?
Or its just a s.kanji thing? because on normal kanji i notice that the dp into super really scales back the damage.
@@IrionMonk0 Yeah it does scale the damage pretty much down to their minimum scaling if you cancel from DP But since shadow kanji under frenzy can cancel into moves unlike regular kanji, DP in the corner on game one is just extra damage since the combo doesn't drop if you DP there using DP as a starter generally will scale a super down to its minimum damage scaling. Given the length of that combo, the supers would've already been at their minimum scaling, so leaving out DP is just leaving out extra damage I hope that makes some sense!
guess the youtube recommendation is telling me I don't need to grind out almost every job to rank 60 and only just max out one and just get good lol, saves me a lot of time now

im doing something wrong, my stats are better and im still getiing my ass handed over.
I'm sorry I can't help you out fully because it's been a real hot minute since I played, but... If my memory serves me correctly, I made sure I had ichiban have that one skill active that lets him survive/revive him a fatal blow I healed every little damage anyone took as soon as I could I buffed my party off cool down, especially defense buff I guarded the big attacks if I know they're coming I used my big poundmates moves when I was attack buffed I tried getting my main party members best in slot equipment If someone went down, I revived in the following order of priority: the healer, the most evasive member, the damage dealer Sorry that these tips are a little generic, but I really can't remember how exactly the fight went since it was long ago for me
