it's the opposite for me. multi videos a day some of them reuploads from just days before. this channel is just an advert. shame, it used to be a good channel. time to unsub. best of luck!
How long have you been using Blender, or been 3D modeling? I bought these last year but barely used them, didn't spend enough time to learn them yet. I work WAY too much, so its tough to put in the time. I keep seeing Grid Modeler videos in my feed and it makes modeling seem like a breeze. Been wondering if I should try that or Fluent. Did you consider either of these before going with Hard Ops/Box Cutter? Did you have a particular set of tutorials that really helped you to learn Hard Ops/Box Cutter. Blender Bros seem like a good channel for this. Hoping this winter (my off season) I will finally be able to put in the time to learn 3D modeling and somehow stay active the rest of the year. Thanks for any input.
@@otherworlds9677 Blender Bros are definitely legit when it comes to hard surface modelling and hops/boxcutter workflow. At least that's what I used to get the basics of those add-ons covered. From there on it's practice and also looking for tools when you encounter some issues repetitively. Usually it's already being solved by some tool. Good luck on your 3D journey!
@@jaujud Thanks, man. Yea, I got HardOps/Box Cutter a while back, but still trying to learn. Also went ahead and bought MESHmachine Machin3 Tools, Cablerator, Decal Machine, Kit Ops 2 Pro, Evee + Cycles Materials System, all mostly on their say so. Also picked up Just Panels, and Construction Lines, which was suggested by another guy, who also 3D prints his work. Hope to make use of all this stuff modeling and eventually printing out my creations.
7:01 year of use it and NEVER KNOW ITS POSSIBLE!! Whoever made that add-on is awesome!! Also one more thing! If I wasn’t mistaken he also had add on for shading texture with such high quality! Hope it’s good for gaming too
The best hard surface package is as follows. #1 machin3 tools (if I could only have one addon this would be it. #2 hardoos/boxcutter more like 1.1 because I can't live without, #3 mesh machin3 (slightly more advanced but with 1/2 you will get 95% of the way there. Kitops is also great aswell, but the asset browser is slowly catching up
As someone new, there's a lot to consider. I'm doing a bit of a tour of the various softwares, addons and work flows to see what I can do now that will save weeks or months down the line in terms of my overall workflow. What's helping is having a clear end goal and then shaping everything towards that. One small example is that I can disregard all of Blender's painting and texturing, as I'll do that in Substance, and again I don't need to touch the camers or renders or lighting as I'll do that in Unreal.
im a fairly new user and have no idea which addons to purchase so i use a site that buys addons then releases them to the public for free. which is legal btw because once somebody purchases an addon they can share it if they chose to. if you do like the addon you can choose to buy the offical release from the owner.
For a while, I was heavy into Decal Machine, Hard Ops, and Boxcutter, working in Blender for several hours every day for a year or so... but then I stopped modeling suddenly, just lost all interest and creative thought right in the middle of a project. That was about a year ago, haven't opened Blender once since then, and now I can't even remember the hotkeys to open any of the main interfaces for those tools.
I need to replace Sketchup due to the high costs not compatible with hobby use, are any of these addons capable of operating with precision like a CAD?
i want to intro another addon for Hardsurface modeling war---Creative Bundle, now is Creative Flow + Random Flow, also amazing massive tools in one, but i think its harder and longer learning curve...🤣 Hope some fastest intro video will appear~
Anybody have any experience with Fluent or Grid Modeler vs the tried and true Hard Ops/Box Cutter combo? I always wonder about these but seems like few experienced modelers with opinions on these. Thanks for any input.
The creator of grid modeler has lots of speed examples and some how to use videos on their UA-cam page. It's really nice. Fluent looks nice too but I haven't seen too much of it yet but might try it out.
@@jonmcf2592 Grid Modeler was published only a year ago. Fluent was published 4 years ago, guess if it was good, we'd be hearing more about it. If I had more time, I'd like to test them out. Might get Grid Modeler though. Those speed examples that the creator puts out just make it seem so easy.
@@SkeleTonHammer Good points, man. Thanks. Probably will have to give it a try. The price certainly isn't the obstacle, its just the time. So much to learn, you know. That's why input from you guys is so helpful.
What are your thoughts on Blender Guppy: Creative Bundle? As a game dev I found some tools there to be pretty useful for some quick cables, greebles, and boolean operations too. It's a more Indie friendly price sitting at $20

Thank you for such an informative video with a comprehensive list of addons.
I'm fairly certain Rantools and P-Cutter can do 80% of everything shown in the video, bought it months back on sale, it's such an amazing addon.
For a mid range user I find all of the choices compelling although difficult to know which one to purchase.

What about the ND addon By HugeMenace ??
Please make a video on high poly to convert low poly mesh with high quality add on please it's requeste

plz let these be open source
one should start with free addon like ND by huge menace and move to paid ones if the free ones are insufficient.
ND

you don't need any of this crap. Teach yourself fundamentals of modeling rather than an essotetric workflow built around a blender plugin.
Don't use timelapses. It sucks!
Meh. Mostly recycled video topics of the same addons for blender. Nothing new coming out.
