Ronnie was a Stone even before he was a Stone. GREAT guitarist, and he fit like a glove. Ronnie B Goode!
you are so right. Ronnie always looked and played like he belonged in the Stones
I love all the morons that say Ronnie Wood cant play lead guitar .This is top notch playing in my book.
I wish just once in my life I could have hair as good as these guys!
Huge Faces fan and I absolutely loved Ronnie Wood. I was over the moon when he finally brought out an aptly named solo album in 1974 titled 'I've Got My Own Album to Do' I wasn't disappointed. This is it - and all of these artists appear on the studio album too.
If you like this, get 'Now Look', his second album, made the following year. It's equally good, and like this, is littered with the very best of musicians supporting him.
I still listen to this 49 years on and enjoy it as much as I did as an 18 year old. Wonderful music that travels right through you.
lucky you man ,,, i heard a rumor of a band barbarin something , wth keth and , at that time i had no , give my age away here , no biggie, i was born in 64 , i always say year of the beatles, not then grasping the big pic
Keith Richards and Ron Woods founders of one of the greatest rock and constructed the stones
What in the soul singing blues is going on here! GOTDAMN!! Ronnie Wood has an AMAZING freaking voice! How am I JUST now finding this out 🤯
Bad ass to the bone! I LOVE it, Ronnie, and that groove
Holy crap, this is freaking awesome!
Damn they're cooking! 😁
Perfect meld of Faces and Stones!
Can’t believe what I’m seeing here
These guys are stunning!
Ron Wood in all his Glory!! 💫🌟💫
When you FEEL the music. Simple.
Just great memories!!!!
This was the beginning of keith and ronnie's ancient art of weaving
I was at this show and have great memories of it ! The band was superb ! Andy Newmark & Willie Weeks was an immense rhythm section. Ian Mac - rip - solid on piano and then keef & Ronnie doing their thing !! . . .The night I was there Rod came on to add to the event & the following night Mick took over. This show highlighted Ronnie's " I've got my own album to do " which was a brilliant album. Sure at times a bit rough round the edges but what a joy to see & hear both live & on record. Great ! Great ! Great memories. God bless ya Woody . . . .
THAT is a KILLER album.....every song.....loved it since the seventies.
outta sight
That album alone is better then anything the stones EVER did
Some jerk stole my copy. That and Jamming w Edward among others. 😢
Ron Wood!!! Great album.
There are no rock stars anymore! This is the golden age right here..❤
And we lived it!! I wish the 70's never ended. Peace.
that was rock and roll royalty at it's finest
1005 right. Too much info killed it all.
palacerevolution2000 I don’t know what you mean by that comment.
@@shspurs1342 Hmm, I don't know what the number 1005 is. But my point re rock/pop music culture was that it was more fun when there was more of a mystery. When I didn't know what my favorite band had for breakfast, and when we didn't know every word of every song. When you didn't have silly ideas like "Rock'n Roll Camp" on TV. I should've explained my point better.
Ronnie is a great singer
One show with one pickup. Respect Mr Richards.
He plays a lot of Les Paul Juniors. One p90 pickup is all you need. They are loud as hell!
Les Paul Jr's, are the best sounding and playing guitars for straight forward rock and roll.
Made with aged mahogany from the past 30s, I think,
In the late 50s you paid a 15,percent more for the T.V. yellow see through finish.
I had a 57 single cut ,and a 58 double, best electric guitar I've ever had.
Its just so cool to see Ronnie & Keith harmonizing together, taking turns on lead; this was the gelling of their relationship, that led to Ron Wood ultimately replacing Mick Taylor in the Stones.
any man that survives that period has my wordly admiration.
I am still here rockin at 73
haha!
@@bigred4218Keith just released a new album at 79.
HELL YEAH. PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL MY FRIEND'S. ✌️😎🏴
This is the first time I've heard this. Far out!
Love the groove 👍👍
No rock-and-roller has ever grooved like Ronnie Wood
harrydean bentzel I can think of one.
Mick Ronson ✌️
Keith...!!
Class of his own
What an absolutely wonderful and priceless treasure this is!!!! Two of the greatest guitarists on the planet!!! Loved the funky sound of these two jamming, second song “Groovin You” is phenomenal, as f’d up as these two probably were, their artistry shines bright! Thanks to UA-cam we have this to enjoy over and over! Thanks Manulova great upload!!! 💞🎸💃
No real guitar solos, cause they can't do those..
Bad ass jamming, I never realized Ronnie was that talented 👏👏👏
Hah!
One of my favourite rhythm sections! Andy Newmark and Willie Weeks!
Good as good can get
I never knew Ronnie Woods to have one fine voice, plus I see all he can play. Thank you for sharing God-bless always Debbie June Tucker ♥
i got the bootleg and every Ronnie record. he was the Stone they needed 75
rocking ronnie wood and rod is the classic example of fucking cool rock and roll and blues and r and b and riffing...
Damn, Ronnie and the boys are kicking ASS here!! Hello crazy ASS Keith Richards ! it sounds so fckg great here and this isn't Bubble Fckg Gum Pop Rock Music Sports fans! This is the REAL DEAL!!!
I usually don't get into these meandering jam session style performances that focus on songs that aren't popularly known, but this is all so fantastic.
saw The Faces back in the early 70;s in Portland OR. Sure brings back memories, from what I can remember. puff puff.
Man, that opening sequence was DYNOMITE!
Honestly has to be one of the most if not the most overlooked album of the 70s. Every song is just killer and w kieth in every track 🤮🤮 doesn’t get better
Awesome. Picked up a mint vinyl copy two years back for $1. Heavy rotation
@Mariana D'Amelio cause it’s SICK!
Cancel Everything, Shirley and Act Together get the replay button.
Excellent performance of Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards!
Roamin on yt, ...thanks, what a gem...
Keith plays guitar with his whole body and soul.
Ronnie Wood this is one awesome performance with your multi talented musical skills and great Lead Vocals as well! Ronnie you are highly underated in real time today in 2021 All I have to do is link to Rolling Stone magazine!!!
It’s Keith who’s sounding awesome he is just blazing. Everyone is staring at him. Just fucking awesome. Thank you so much.
Ronnie is the best, a great player of the guitar, A true soldier through decades of BLUES, R&B. An the Ol'e London school rockers.. Love it! Great to see Keith an Ronnie Jammin 'mon... hey hey an love...
For sure. Saw him and Keith jamming in London just last week and Ronnie can still lay down a great solo
When Everything was mixed. Everything was Tubes. You could sit and enjoy it. Miss Duane 🌄🐴
This is freaking rock and roll!
Very great - music doesn’t and shouldn’t be perfect in that sense..it’s about the expression, the feeling and yes - you are grooving me! ❤️💯❤️
All, Ron, Ian, Willie Keith, Rod, and Andy were on top of their game here. Fun to watch!!!!!!
Great to see Keith on such good form.
I remember pinched these lyrics at 22 to try to tell my chick how much I loved her and really dug her so much... now humming yesterday
Keith and woody, my two favorite rockers of all-time, back in the early days, can't say just how much i love this!
Big Andy Newmark fan, everyone on that stage is great
He is the man on the the drums love his work.
One of the best bands EVER right here. Woody, Keef, Willie, Ian, Andy w/Rod chiming in. Hard to beat.
@Dummy Hoy What was Ty Cobb really like?
@Dummy Hoy But of course, my mistake. Hans is revered where I come from, and some say the best. Thanks for the reply.
interesting, isn't it....thaat Keith has been in three of the best bands, ever: the Rolling Stones, First Barbarians, and Keith Richards and the X-Pensive Winos.
Pretty sure that’s Nicky Hopkins? No?
@@rhymeswithteeth Some guys get all the luck...haha.
The always underrated Andy Newmark on drums.
Definitely not under rated. He was the man back in the day. Everyone wanted to play with him
@@woody816 Yeah, after they heard him on Sly's "Fresh"
@@joint2joint2k
Ol
In
How is he underrated ? He is a highly rated drummer. Dumaz.
@@Gcssdvnkloiutesc LOL
Just sooooo good. They don't do it like this any more.
No They don't, Damn shame too. Walter B.Memphis.
They do but it just doesn’t get the same well deserved attention it once did from the producers and marketing executives because. It takes deep pockets to launch a marketing campaign powerful enough to create the next Stones or Allman’s- on top of soul-shaking talent.
Rock On, Ronnie ❤️
Great Rock&Roll show!! Amazing!!
If you don’t like this you don’t like Rock and Roll... Go back home haters
This is real jam session among mates
Andy Newmark is a absolute beast on drums! Love his playing very much.
Wood was the first to put this rhythm section together ; Andy Newmark (from Sly and the Family Stone) and Willie Weeks (who Wood heard and loved on Donny Hathaway Live lp). They went on to be a highly sought rhythm section. Over the next few years I noticed them on the album credits for various artist like Bowie, Clapton, Stewart and several others. (Sorry, my memory ain't what it used to be.)
@@ronwoodful Wille & Andy also played with Joe Walsh they preformed on Don Kirshner's rock concert it’s on here on UA-cam such a fantastic performance.
Rod Stewartas....❤️❤️❤️ Nuostabu klausytis klasikos. Trys dinozaurai!
Jesus Christ, Ron had a fantastic voice. I kind of figured he did because he did a fantastic job on "Oooh Lah Lah". He should have been singing some lead during his career.
PURE GOLD. AMEN.
Thank you so much for this, a rare piece of Rock and Roll history. Mistify me is so sweet and soulful,Ronnie Woods soulful voice and guitar gets 😂down into my gut❤!
Ronnie, I'm such a big fan. Like everyone, from the Jeff Beck Group and your amazing bass playing, to the Faces, so fantastic, to this band. So incredible to see Willie Weeks there. I've enjoyed his bass playing with Eric Clapton so much.
Great set. Powerful. Funky, rhythm and blues. Yeah. 🕉 Good vibes!
Hendrix used to say let the bass play go referring to ronnie wood
In the Jeff beck group.
I love to see the rock and roll hall of fame, where beck tell everyone that the yardbirds kicked him out .
They did but don't want to admit it.
I know cause my friend I grew up with playing guitar plays bass and sings with them.
Beautiful broken down noise-always just one the edge of chaos/colllapse
mush like the MATS -Thank god for da boyzzzz much love TI MOTHY
This is music man pure n simple i can listen to shit like this all day
Proper musicians....the music just flows............
Love these dudes! Been a fan for a looong time!
The guitar sound they took on the road for the Love You Live tour. Always loved it.
I absolutely agree.....fantastic sound....
Well yes and no. Ronnie, yes. Keith, partially. For 1975/1976 tours which LYL was recorded from, Keith used Ampeg amplifiers (same as here). But a big part of his sound here is a Les Paul Junior Double Cutaway with a P90 pickup. That with the Ampegs give it that gnarly gritty sound. For the LYL album, he never used that guitar.
Never the less, great tone here and during LYL. My favorite Keith tone.
During the 1975 TOTA tour they used the Leslie effect too
Reminds me why Keith and Ron are my favourite Stones duo of guitarists...
Mick Taylor and Keith!!!
Something really precious about those years. Everything came together in a perfect nexus. The result? Music for a lifetime. Just fucking awsome! Thanks for uploading. Peace.
That's what gets me about those punk rock docs! I'm a punk rock fan but it irks me when they make it seem like punk revived rock and roll and good music, the 70s were the greatest decade of music in my opinion!
sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?
I was dumb lost the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Chandler Mohamed instablaster :)
Got that right brother!
@@acethegreat3963 without a doubt my brother!
you gotta love Wilie Weeks on Bass !
I remember the late 1970s finding a cassette in a dime store in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The cassette was Ron Wood:I've got my own album to do...I knew he was in the Stones so I bought it and have loved that album since then...this show is music from the album. Top Notch work!!!!!
Ron's then wife found Keef in a bar and invited him to come over as Ron was recording this album.
Even though Ron and Keith mixed well here, Ron was not the favorite to replace Mick Taylor. Harvey Mandel was still a contender, but Woody had better chemistry (pardon the pun)
@@RayNDeere All true. I believe Wayne Perkins was the other favorite to get hired.
Have both albums and enjoy them regularly.
The third song ‘cancel everything ‘ I can here Keith tapping into his teachings from Gram Parsons also it’s almost got an ‘Eagles’ sound I’m 60 and been listening to all these guys since I was 10. It’s just something I hear ,an opinion
Super Group? Huh.... Hell Yea!!!!
Absolute gold!
Great vibe between musicians. Just awesome, so loose, just there to enjoy playing together
Jamming is a way to make a living.....😎
Wow, what a lineup! 😍
Honestly think I've stumbled upon the best of 1974
Hi Saul! Gonna get me a Koll one day. Love this sound. Makes me wanna drive fast....hehe
You definitely did lol
One damn fine band! Am I groov'in you? Keef & Ronnie laying it down. Pour me a double and roll one up...
Ian McLagan R.I.P.
I hear ya bruh*
Don't care about a Double,But ROLL ME A FATTY ANY TIME MAKE THAT A DOUBLE,TRIPLE,HA,,OH YEAH.MAN. THESE GUYS ARE FANTASTIC LOVE THEIR MUSIC. WALTER B,MEMPHIS, TAKE CARE AND STAY WELL AND SAFE.
Awesome band, everybody in the band seems to enjoy the moment!
fantastic, i'm glad i could see this
THE BRIT BROTHERS. TERRIFIC RHYTHM KEITH, RONNIE AND ROD .WISH I WAS THERE
Hella jam.could watch it 1000 more times
I always liked his style, and wondered what it would sound like, or what classic it would turn out if Ronnie
and Levon Helm, from "The Band"
got together and recorded.
With Ronnies guitar playing and voice.
With Levon's unmistakable drumming style and harmony back up! It would've surely been a hit.
Wow!,I never knew this existed in such good quality, I downloaded Ronnie woods solo album last year, can't wait to watch this loud the weekend, thanks 👍✌️
Wow, the great Andy Newmark on drums
What a great band!! I’m so glad that this came along. Thank you 🙏 for posting this amazing video too!!!
This is the first I've heard of this collaboration. Thanks for sharing
Check out The New Barbarians also!
Excellent Video, Thans for sharing this,The 70's were simply ,PURE MAGIC,THIS IS SSSOOO GREAT!!Walter B.Memphis. 🌠🌟🎸👍💯
Ronnie Wood's smile and energy is contagious (and how about those feathers?! LOL). And Willie Weeks is a monster on bass.
Willie Weeks name turned up on 1 in 3 albums I listened to in the 70’s and 80’s. He’s one of the most respected in the industry!
It looks like an Angela Bowie design
@@johngore7744 Could be Eno wore them.
OMG!!! I'd never even heard of them before I saw this while listening to a Faces concert recording.
Is this during some kind of break from the Stones?
The hair and clothes. Love it!
This is great. I love the guitar tones from back then and Keith and Ron are just plugging straight in.
Merci ,
Super post ✌💪😎
Willie Weeks at Crotch Music with the blum blurum blurum intro.... Can't have enough of it... Ofc it is not all - the later show starting about 50:00 also gets me up.
I LOVE THEM - AWESOME AND SO DAMN AMAZING!!
Wow that was a great show !!
My God the harmonies...
The Best of Music
Fantastic Bass player !
Wow. What an amazing show !!
