(At the end of his first song that is...) I do adore this man, even with his horrid orange jacket - ugh!!!!!!!! Orange & yellow just are not Rod's colors.
@@lexybernard2461 , as someone that also plays in bands, these colours on a stage with lights focus everybody on you...Yellow Jacket at Madison Square garden from the seats at the back stand out...these are greayt colours for a jacket..Rod also wears white jackets for same reason so the spots on the Star...
Rod's daughter said when she was in high school Rod came to a parent teacher conference wearing skin tight leopard print pants and driving a bright red Ferrari
It's amazing how Rod thought "Maggie Mae" was a throw-away. But a disc jockey in some city (can't recall) thought it was great, and kept playing it. The rest is history.
Oh my god,Everybody look.Ron Wood playing the Guitar side by side of the Rod Stewart .And Rod's singing. It's looks like live of the Faces. American television broadcasts good shows. Oh,Rod's Wife came to this TV show couple months ago .
That is a whole bunch of Special talent on that stage right there..I absolutely loved to watch Paul as he Miestro'd Music's greatest Legends..His exuberance, energy & enthusiasm was so obvious, every night he had the opportunity to perform with his friends, the ultimate Who's Who of Music Superstars..I miss that epic era so very much that I'd do just about anything to go back in time 40 years & do it all over..
He was first playing with Rod ( Jeff Beck Group) in 1967,then together in The Faces from 1969 to 1975. He first toured with the Stones in 1974 and joined the Stones in 1975
This is great! I almost forgot how great Paul's band was. Even Rod compliments them. Nice to see Ron Wood here especially since he played on the original track. This is also back when Letterman was mostly unscripted with the interviews and uncomfortable things happened, like on this evening. Now almost all questions are scripted and often the answers as well.
Maggie May is difficult for me to listen to, due to the nostalgia that it invokes. All of us associate songs with the chronology of our lives. Maggie May is one such song.
The house band consists of Paul Shaffer, keyboards and leader; Sid McGinnis, guitar; Will Lee, bass; and Anton Fig, drums. Not certain who the 12-string guitarist is. Either hired for the gig or part of Rod and Ron’s band.
These two!!! Still better than anything else 30 years on. 💘
With you on that. New Hampshire here ✌️
Such great performances!! Always love listening to Rod. And Ronnie!!!
Doesn't get much better! Love Rod & Ronnie
Semplicemente unico.

I'm glad to see that Rod Stewart has a Great sense of humor, What a great dude!
That was 30 years ago. He was the coolest of them all.
Joking around with Dave - then slips into a lovely rendition of - Have I Told You Lately (That I Love You) - how crazy to be that talented.
Why did he look at his watch?

I was 14 when l first saw him in Sunderland. Happy memories. Shouldn't have been there 😂
Rod's daughter said when she was in high school Rod came to a parent teacher conference wearing skin tight leopard print pants and driving a bright red Ferrari
Daddy's a "Rock Star" we're the folks expecting anything "Normal"????😂❤
And the late, great Jeff Golub also on the guitar...
Rest in Paradise, Jeff.
9:09 Looks like Ronnie remembers at that last moment, “Oh yeah, my solo!”, then proceeds to mail it beautifully.
I love this! Love it! Rod and Ronnie together...awesome!!! 👏👏
Wow, what a gem.
Ron and Rod. What a team we love.
The best line in the entire song is ease my troubles., that's what you do!! Those caring people that can do that for you ,🌺 😉 never let them go 🎉🎉🎉
It's amazing how Rod thought "Maggie Mae" was a throw-away. But a disc jockey in some city (can't recall) thought it was great, and kept playing it. The rest is history.
Pretty spirited performance from Rod, ably assisted by Woody 👌
Awesome 👌
Sooo beautiful. 🎸🎤👍 I love Ronnie and Rod since decades. ❤️ ❤
30 yrs ago this Saturday....where does the time go?

Sir Rod & Ron are friends for life & also great Artists🤩🤩 Love you Maria
This may have been the true sweet spot for The Singer, plus the late great Jeff Golub on Guild 12 string! 😞
Amazing even now
Ron Wood has played with Rod and the stones since the early 70s
He was first playing with Rod ( Jeff Beck Group) in 1967,then together in The Faces from 1969 to 1975. He first toured with the Stones in 1974 and joined the Stones in 1975
Awesome 👌

Fuera de serie no hay rival 👏👍🇮🇹👍
My favourite Rod song even though Van the Man wrote it, he sings it way way better
♥️♥️♥️
Que lindo cabelo dos poeta
Is that Rich Robinson from the Black Crowes playing acoustic as well??
How can you not like Rod The Pod?
Perfect
Ever notice how happy Ronnie Wood is whenever he performs with Rod? He's never that happy when performing with the Stones.
Stones -played great rock. Faces- WERE rock n roll.
Hope the remaining faces go out on tour one last time.
That is So Funny! What a story. 🤣😅😆😄Hawaii? Ha Ha!
I going ...no mandolin and then there's Sid tearing it up!
Great!
Ronnie was only 46 here!❤
HAHAHAHA GREAT FUN Ronnie was cracking.. is this the song ?
Excelente ❤

Still Wood was playing mandolin on this the dude could really rock that mandolin
Wow! Exceptional
Fun fact: The Sam Goody store they show in the last bumper was turned into the studios of Fox News Channel three years after this show was taped.
That's Sir rod Stewart now
what are the names of the backing musicians?
The house band consists of Paul Shaffer, keyboards and leader; Sid McGinnis, guitar; Will Lee, bass; and Anton Fig, drums.
Not certain who the 12-string guitarist is. Either hired for the gig or part of Rod and Ron’s band.
Anyone know that name of the mandilon player?
Unfortunately, my LN Talent Payments log goes up only to April 13.
@@dongiller Thanks !
The mandolin player?
It’s Sid McGinnis isn’t it? He was the guitarist in the house band at the time and used to stand on that part of the stage
👌
Ron wrote half of Rods songs.
See if Dave has more Intellectual questions than asked when John Mayall was a guest.
What funeral home did they find the coat at that someone made Ronnie wear?
MADE??
Woody found it in a thrift store on the Bowery! 😉
Oh you are so hilarious he'd look better in the ground with it on then you do every single day.
Voice not tuned at all
Rod you stay aways from Rons habits
Are you feeling good about this
Very!
They look like twins with same hairstyles and face ..only different hair colour
Ja rummuissa Anthon Fig
Breathtaking
One of the most poignant renditions of one of the top 10 most beautiful love songs ever written.
I had just moved to Scotland (15yo) when Maggie Mae hit the Top o The Pops. History in the making.
I think this is the first time I saw Ronnie playing a acoustic guitar
MTV Unplugged ...youll love it 👍👍✌️✌️🇬🇧🇬🇧
Mandolin rain . Rod and Ron do great live .
