Dan Berridge, you are a genius! I absolutely loved the music soundtrack. I also liked the fresh idea of an armed leg as weapon. I wondered why his kick is so lethal. That is a really fresh idea. How often do we get fresh ideas on UA-cam short movies now? Almost never, this is precious. To balance the narrow-minded comments below, the absence of language in it is a fresh and impressive depiction of what humans will become at Point Zero☑☑ I really hope that self-medication does not die with the apocalypse. Basic knowledge about wounds and sanitation would've helped that couple. They do have fire, so why no boiled water for the location of the injection and for treating his wound? The man touching his own wound with germ-infested hands at the end made me cringe. It could be normal for mankind, but I really really hope it is not. Surely we all know better? Knowledge of herbs may be dying out, but basic sanitation and boiled water should never. On the bright side, dirtiest hands, best wound I've seen. Make-up artists here deserve an award too. Hollywood could learn from you.🏆 Finally, I wish I had such abilities to film my UA-cam-story Apophis Apocalypse, instead of just doing audiobooks. This film is very convincing.
Yeah, I mean there's this small detail of someone being able to ninja even after being stabbed in the stomach. But you're right..... Having unfortunately been in a similar situation many years ago, this is more or less how it went. It's a rather disconcerting experience.
To balance the narrow-minded comments below, the absence of language is a fresh and impressive depiction of what humans will become at Point Zero☑☑ Who made that decision, was it Arthur Cauras? You deserve an award for even just that. It is a top notch liturgical idea, stroke of genius.
Yup, - that's closer to the reality I'd imagine,- filthy, infectious, squalor, with everyone brutally scratching and clawing for the last few crumbs. So chaotic that any possibility of a reset would only come when the population was whittled down to a few scattered survivors, too far apart to try to steal from and kill each other. It's a true cliche that civility is a thin veneer, easily worn through.Props all around,- well acted, written , choreographed, and shot. EF Hollywood.
Fuck me, that was a viciously brilliant fight scene with energy and desperation. Excellently done. Instead of the formulaic mad Max style weapon, that blunt force shin hammer was an excellently understated and realistic touch(in context of course). I'd love to see some more of your stuff.
Body acting by the protagonist is superlative. As a sometime cinema and theater fight coach I can say he's talented in and makes the most of this aspect. It's worth it just to watch him work.
Very nicely done! The human emotions he achieved were incredible. I loved how that one guy just wouldn’t go down. So many big films these days are so dummied up for simple minds. In this film it wasn’t fight=win....rather he had to really earn his win. The vomiting due to the increased adrenaline, the scene at the end where it looked like he was about to cry - all very realistic human reactions!! Also there was just enough information. This film didn’t leave you with more unanswered questions than action. Thank you!
Amazing locations. The hero is a really good actor and has a great look. The emotion between him and his wife/girlfriend was very realistic. Nicely done.
Aaaaaaah grblaaahaaaah.....aaaaahhhghgh ! which means I liked it. Great atmo and locations. The fight scenes were good. Showed some desperation rather than "everyone knows kung fu/karate/mma". A film that kept me engaged for 17+ minutes without uttering a single word.
This has to by far be the best PA short film out there! The story, make-up, feels, acting, cgi, location & atmosphere are just stellar! THIS is how it should be! Perfect, just perfect! Good luck for the future, you'll go far!
The juxtaposition of violent post apocalyptic survival tactics with family bonds and pure love was a perfect balance. He knew he would die of infection soon. I was all “find a bee hive and slap some honey on that Sir!” Nature’s antibiotic. Fabulous. 👍🏻☺️💛
All things cinema here are: AMAZING! I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. What has always eluded me most about film making is the ability to convey 'story' with images and very little dialogue. Your incredible work, here, has NO dialogue, and yet the action and imagery, shot so majestically, tells a multi-leveled story. POINT ZERO is a MASTERPIECE!
This was honestly incredible!! The soundtracks fitted great to the story, great acting and the suspense was great. The shots were just amazing. I applaud you, this is the best i've seen in a while.
That feeling of uncertainty of what would happen when he was sneaking around, whether he would be caught, if they heard the guy screaming, if he would get out. I thought it was very well done.
Congratulations, I loved it! Incredible actors, great direction and photography. The fight scene was very well done, very touching and realistic. You guys ar awesome!
Ran across this in Dec 2019. Just thought you should know folks are still enjoying and sharing it. It has held up really well. I personally enjoyed the detail of his bladed grieve we saw at the end.
Excellent job of picking film locations.Very realistic, great acting and just overall a fantastic job!The one long fight scene had to be the most spot on to what fights are usually like in real life.I was a bit disappointed when he was running away being chased by a good sized man.He turned and with a sweep kick put him down rolling on the ground. Then wala, trying not to give too much info, the end when he sat down I said damn that's how he did it.Fantastic! Now I am going to watch it again.
I was more impressed with how he got over being stabbed for long enough to kick everybody's ass and get so far away just by stumbling for a few seconds that he didn't need to go any further and could go back to being stabbed again. I've tried telling myself that these are just short little teasers and I don't know the plot but, more and more, it seems like getting stabbed, stumbling around, fighting MUST BE the plot because that's all we ever see. Can you get PAID to film this kinda thing?
Phenomenal short, the creators know their craft and the main actor was superb, I’m 55 yrs old, 6’5” 270 pounds and mean, but I was crying at the end. Keep it up guys, would love to see more!!
This was great! Just sort of appeared in my selections. Exciting, good acting, realistic backdrop, the video filtering gave it an air of other-worldly surrealism. I wish I could have seen more.
Nice work all around. One thing I noticed right away -- this guy is used to his environment (regular problem in otherwhen settings is characters who act like it's all new to them). Good body language from the actor. Hopefully someday we'll see more of this. And something I found curious -- the zombies seem to react only to each other's calls, not to miscellaneous noises (such as from the fight, hardly silent). It's like they're disconnected from every reality but their own.
Excellent !!! Le combat est super bien, réaliste nerveux excellent, c'est typiquement comme ça que doivent être les combats je mets un gros pouce bien vert
I have watched hundreds of these short films but this one was the best I have ever seen! This is the type that makes the viewers hope for a continuation or a Part 2. The main character is a better actor than most famous actors in the multi-million dollar movies. This had better and more realistic fight scenes as well. Awesome writing, directing and acting. I absolutely loved it and I hope to see more in the future. The only thing I was curious about though was the medicine or serum he risked his life for to give to the pregnant lady. I'm curious to know if it was some type of medicine for her or the baby, or a vaccination to prevent them from turning like the others did.
wow.. this was such an amazingly wonderful experience to watch, congratulations to the entire production team, I truly hope you get to turn this into a full length feature some time, I would gladly pay double the ticket price to see a full length movie based on this..
You have to stick around for the last line.....SHOT IN SOISSONS FRANCE IN JUNE 2009, USING THE RED ONE CAMERA so yeah it has CGI in it. A damn fine effort. First thing i thought was "damn, this looks real" during the fight scenes. Outstanding job kids. Top shelf. Best of luck to you.
Excellent work! I don’t know who blocked ur fights but spot-on...looked so real. And the scenery and location and the filters u used...excellent! And oh yeah, gr8 work on the sound and Foley work...this should be a full feature!
OMG frist I thought if this got an award for the most brutal outrcy of uncontrolled shocking violence nothing for the light fainted, but at the end I understood it must have gotten it for a lesion on how much a loving man can take for all those living in the internet hemisphere of peace since ... #weaintnojesus
Very good. To answer any criticism I personally see it as he had one job. Single focus. He got the medicine or serum the pregnant lady needed. Delivered and administered it. Very well done. They allude to the fact the guys he stole from were bad as they were beating up that one guy but you don't know. It's up to our interpretation.
Spectacular and moving. And the physical and facial acting (without saying any words) was awesome! The fight scene was raw and more believable than films with big budgets!
Thanks for explaining why they went down so fast with just a kick to the shins. I was beginning to think their bark was way bigger than their bite. 👍🏻 Ouchie. 🥴
Excellent movie. The fighting was so realistic, not like what you see in movies on the big screen. The emotions were so honest and pure. This was extremely well thought out and preformed.
Woooouuhh I real like this short film. I like the colour, motion and imotion. location signed so great. it's deserve to go far from here. Yeees soo great. am from Tanzania East Africa. really appreciate this team work.
It reminded me of warriors who for centuries fought and the lucky were killed quickly. The others who were wounded must have had horrific slow deaths from infections. Dirty conditions like in this movie must have made even a flesh wound a month of agonizing pain..then die.
This must have been filmed in Paris after the riots. :P But, seriously, excellent makeup and all around production values. One of the best "doomsday shorts" I've seen.
I was wondering why the guy went down after being kicked in the shin...then at the end he reveals a steel shin guard with a sharp edge on it. Nice weapon
This film really moved me, the best I've seen yet; outstanding acting especially the fight scenes. Thank You

Fight scene was more realistic than some (many) I've seen in 70 million dollar budgets. Nice work......
I don't know how anybody could judge this as realistic we don't know yet
Yeah, I mean there's this small detail of someone being able to ninja even after being stabbed in the stomach. But you're right..... Having unfortunately been in a similar situation many years ago, this is more or less how it went. It's a rather disconcerting experience.

Oh my, I cant believe im watching an amateur film, this is an amazing one. I liked the good acting of the cast especially the lead actor. Thumbs up!!

'Edge of my seat, leaning in good movie!' Looking forward to more of your work!
One of if not THE best fight scene when the crazy found him looking for medicine. Excellent work on this.

VERY WELL DONE GREAT FIGHT SCENES VERY REALISTIC I ENJOYED IT KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
I didn't feel this is a short movie, so many things they covered in just a short notice. Such a great work...much appreciated
Incredible!!! Great storytelling.
This was WELL done. Character development was spot on. Dirt , grime quotient spot on. The welcome home sequence acting was beautiful. Thank you
Body acting by the protagonist is superlative. As a sometime cinema and theater fight coach I can say he's talented in and makes the most of this aspect. It's worth it just to watch him work.
Very, very nice! I'm definitely looking up more of your videos to watch when I get off of work.
What a pity that more people haven't watched this work of art! Amazing, gritty and realistic...bravo man!
Very nicely done! The human emotions he achieved were incredible. I loved how that one guy just wouldn’t go down. So many big films these days are so dummied up for simple minds. In this film it wasn’t fight=win....rather he had to really earn his win.

Ohhh wow! Absolutly marvelous...and the music is great.
Applauses
Great vid!
Thanks much for your efforts in making it available to enjoy.. d:^)
Excelente!! congratulations!! y gracias. Ojalá hagas más trabajos como estos.
Found this randomly. I cannot believe this has only 1,258 views. Compelling, thrilling, action-packed and downright brilliant.
Proof that big effects budgets are no match for well-crafted storytelling.
This has to by far be the best PA short film out there! The story, make-up, feels, acting, cgi, location & atmosphere are just stellar!
THIS is how it should be! Perfect, just perfect! Good luck for the future, you'll go far!
Very well done, Arthur. You have every right to be proud of your work.
The juxtaposition of violent post apocalyptic survival tactics with family bonds and pure love was a perfect balance. He knew he would die of infection soon. I was all “find a bee hive and slap some honey on that Sir!” Nature’s antibiotic.
Fabulous. 👍🏻☺️💛
Well acted, great story and fantastic location & filming. The fight scene was spot on.I need more like this.
Most realistic life or death depiction I've ever seen ! Had me all tensed up and feeling the pain! Great film!
Superb - one of the best post apocalyptic dramas since the Road
Awesome work! The fighting scenes and choreos (?) were authentic and way better than the most i`ve seen in the big movies. great physical acting!
Forget zombies. This awesome movie shows human beings are far more frightening!
Gripping from the moment one to the end, for what you had to work with this was excellent pacing and performances.
Well done! I can absolutely see why this is award winning! One of the best I've seen yet! Keep it up!
Loved it. Part 2 please
Please give this director a guest director's slot on "The Walking Dead."
He should even be on Fear of the Walking dead also.
This was honestly incredible!! The soundtracks fitted great to the story, great acting and the suspense was great. The shots were just amazing. I applaud you, this is the best i've seen in a while.
runasto, what's the suspense?
That feeling of uncertainty of what would happen when he was sneaking around, whether he would be caught, if they heard the guy screaming, if he would get out. I thought it was very well done.
I have never thought that was a suspense!
Beautiful filming , acting . Scary good job
Congratulations, I loved it! Incredible actors, great direction and photography. The fight scene was very well done, very touching and realistic. You guys ar awesome!
What? When? Where? How? Why? Well made. Good acting. All feels. It left me feeling that this man, woman and child stand no chance at all.
Ran across this in Dec 2019. Just thought you should know folks are still enjoying and sharing it. It has held up really well. I personally enjoyed the detail of his bladed grieve we saw at the end.
magnifque, realiste comme j'aime, respect.
if anyone has other films like that, i'd like to discover
This pulled me in and wouldn’t let go. It was visceral and had a feeling of authenticity from the first frame to the last. Extremely well done!
LOL...what were you watching?? Those fight scenes were a joke....SMH

Well done, all involved! Enjoyed this production.
VERY VERY WELL DONE!!!! THROUGHLY ENJOYED!!!!! 😎😎😎😎
This truly shows that a big budget means crap without creativity.Excellent work!👍

Good fucking job. This is really good. Like better than most movies I’ve seen recently.
I didn't see a short video,I saw SUPER REALISTIC REPRESENTATION of EARTHLINGS in NEAR FUTURE.
Awesome 👍👍👍😍😍
Very well made film, I love the Universal touch of no talking just action and events..
I really liked that too, no bullshit dialogue👍
Excellent !!!
Julien / Chikensoul
Excellent work, with no dialogue! Bravo!
Totally gritty, down and dirty, picture of survival in a ruined world

Shannon King exactly we need a part 2
Excellent job, great story and Alaa Safi, very good actor
Impressive all the way around. Nice work.
wow.. this was such an amazingly wonderful experience to watch, congratulations to the entire production team, I truly hope you get to turn this into a full length feature some time, I would gladly pay double the ticket price to see a full length movie based on this..
Well done. The fight scene is Oscar worthy.

Very good, and I'm glad to see you can still get a decent haircut in this apocalyptic world
:)

Very impressive!
That hit you right in the gut. No cheesy dialog required.
Very good. To answer any criticism I personally see it as he had one job. Single focus. He got the medicine or serum the pregnant lady needed. Delivered and administered it. Very well done.

This was one of the better ones. The fight scenes felt raw and believable. It has a lot of potential.
Bravo! to the lead actor! It's an actor's material! Very good!
Totally brutal. Made Hollywood look soft and fluffy. Truely great work.
Very convincing fight scenes
I knew he wasn't stealing for him self, i lit my heart he helped a women in need
Very great film,
Holy shit, those shin guards were awesome. Definitely making some!
Thanks for explaining why they went down so fast with just a kick to the shins. I was beginning to think their bark was way bigger than their bite. 👍🏻
Ouchie. 🥴
Excellent movie. The fighting was so realistic, not like what you see in movies on the big screen.

I thought it was very good and so does my fiancé. Great Work.Hope to see a second one.

Very good short! Lead actor excellent! Need sequel. Did anyone notice the duck on the pond in the very last seconds?
I was wondering why the guy went down after being kicked in the shin...then at the end he reveals a steel shin guard with a sharp edge on it. Nice weapon
Savate😀
Awesome
Wonderful acting. I just want more!
Great brawl/fights..pretty realistic.
Absolutely well done!
Shorter and outnumbered. But turned into a SAVAGE to protect his family.
Excellent, envie d'en voir plus 😉
For some reason I can't get Adam Sandler out of my mind as I watch this
Fantastic!
I gotta chill up my spine as soon as I started to watch this movie
Woah this is awesome and i love the ending. Postapocaliptic indeed.
