- What made me an Assassin's Creed fan was the great movie-like cinematic experience. And these phenomenal characters were brought to life by remarkably talented actors. There were many awesome cutscenes in the AC franchise. These are my favorites.
I love the immediate shift from "ANGRY DEVIL" to "Course it does" lol
One of my favorite and definitely more memorable cutscenes lmao, and also when black-beard dies and delivers the line "IN A WORLD WITHOUT GOLD, WE MIGHT HAVE BEEN HEROS"
That actually caught me off guard.
I used the appear to be the devil quote in an explanation in my ELA class and the teacher loved it, assassins creed black flag never flails to be one of my favorite games
It shows how clever Thatch was, how much he understood showmanship and leaving an impression. It's why he's remembered so well despite having such a short period of infamy.
Looks fine
“Well don’t just sit there like a barrel of fish we’re celebrating MY RETIREMENT!!!!” Love how excited Blackbeard is when he says that
I loved Shay's voice and accent lol.
He drinks damnation.
The scene where Charles Lee promises to Conor that he is going to kill him should've been here as well.
"In a world without gold we might've been heroes."
Love that quote so much
This is one of the best quotes in gaming history. Has so much wisdom in it.
when i was a kid and heard blackbeard say these line i think its only a last word of him, but my age getting older and that word feel different
As far as last words go, they're probably the best in the series besides Torres'.
@@damnyoumarston every conflict present today....is because of money

kinda mad how the entire plot of rogue could have changed if instead of ignoring every word out of shay's mouth they just had a conversation
This is sadly the case with so many great conflicts in the world.
There's also some wrong in Shay's part calmly explained them everything I'm sure they would have listened.
@@ALDRINRabhawhat part of the "you are meddling with dangerous machines" and "the city fell apart" is so hard to understand?

Blackbeard's lines are genuinely amazing writing.
Did he say "in a world without gold, we might have been heroes"? because that shit is brilliant
Yeah, that's the line. You'll see it around often when people talk about Black Flag.
I never forgot it
its kinda true. they might have been seen as revolutionaries if they did what they did purely for the freedom.

Greed is one of the Seven Deadly Sins for a reason.
Don't forget his name is also thatch
You know these cutscenes are great when you can’t pick which one is the best 🔥
The actors are crazy talented.
rather than which one is the least terrible now
@@kevinkommtspielen3164sadly true
The way Cesare Borgia's voice breaks a little when he's defending his actions is amazing! I don't understand why the later games lean so heavily into hiding the main villains face behind a mask every single time. Giving them a face and a personality is so much more engaging
i'd rather have the mask so i don't have to see the awful procedural animation system they're for some reason so hellbent on using, even though it looks like shit in all the games it's used in. like i'd say most of the voice acting in odyssey and valhalla (haven't played mirage) is pretty good, but the stiff, repetitive, and unexpressive body and facial animations alongside the terrible lip sync can and will ruin any cutscene immediately. legitimately some of the worst animations i've seen in a triple-a game
sorry for the rant i just hate that shit
@miniops12 Origins had good voice acting. Look up "I AM BAYEK OF SIWA"
@@twinzzlers yeah, that's why i didn't mention origins...
...and hard. You see, big companies don't want to work on these things anymore, it is hard work. Just give them your money. GIVE.
@@miniops12 Why not? That scene was amazing
3:47 Man to this day this cutscene still breaks me, knoowing context of the novels makes this sadder Thatch was more of a father to Edward than his actual one that disowned him.
That scene barely has any words yet it hits the hardest...
granted, Edward is the one who disowned his family, not the other way around
@@manbat4582 I mean, the last thing his father ever did for him was call him poison and tell him to leave. Then his mom was like "you didn't even send a letter".
I mean, that sounded worse for her than hearing about Edward being a pirate.
novels?
@@FirstNameLastName-wv2iz there's a novel series. They vary a bit on the narration style (some are diaries, some are third person narration etc.) and only focus on the ancestor, no animus involved. Each novel focuses on a game, but the story itself doesn't follow the game step-by-step. For instance, the Assassin's Creed 3 novel, Assassin's Creed Forsaken, follows Haytham's POV from his childhood with Edward until Haytham's death, as his personal diary.
I'd heartily recommend reading at least until Black Flag; I don't remember the others, but they're probably good, too!
A 13 year old game have better cutscenes than a 2023 one, such a shame...............

Shay's voice actor really tried to sell the game. He went to comic con to talk about AC Rogue with a I love AC Rogue on it when the company wouldn't advertise it.
AC Rouge was underrated but not forgotten.
It was so dumb to release 2 ac titles. If they did rouge it would have given unity more time so it wouldn’t be a buggy mess on release
I still need to get to playing it at some point. I've owned it for years, but never gotten around to actually playing it. But I've heard it's pretty solid
@@GeekdomCentral I been getting the platinum trophies for the ac games recently, and I have three left including Rogue. So far I highly recommend for you to try it, the game isn't too long. The story is good, not to mention the modern day sections giving you pieces of lore was something I loved about it; a minor part but great to see. I just wish the devs were able to cook it a little bit longer and it could've been such a fantastic game. If you like getting all the trophies/100% syncing it, with my experience so far. It has been kinda buggy so do expect some glitchy stuff to happen unless I was severely unlucky in my play through.
"in a world without gold, we might have been heroes"
"You threw in with the VERY PEOPLE WE HATED!" is one of my favorite Edward deliveries.
That may be true, but now the word has one less snake in it... and that's enough for me
Ezio's Speech in AC2 (Bonfire of the Vanities DLC) still remains the best speech and best voice acting in an AC game imo.
Say what you want about Origins (I enjoyed it) but Bayek has some top notch delivery of many ranges, from soft and subtle, to distraught, rageful and cheery. I love the work put into him by his actor!

That first cutscene absolutely got me heated when everyone refused to listen to the Protagonist as if he was crazy. Not an Assassin's Creed fan, but I felt that passion as he did
If you played Rouge, you would absolutely understand the anger in his voice.
I truly missed and love the old AC games. they are filled with passion, life, true emotion, and gameplay from actors and actresses. shame that Ubisoft killed all of that in the new ac series and pitty that we will never have any chances to see those ever again.
Well. I guess it's time to find a new story. Explore grassroots, look beyond the norms. I think history is repeating itself right now with videogame prices increasing near the 100$ mark, and more niche things are being sought out, in a time parallel to when videogames were just being a new niche fad for the few.

When something is new to the world, people create unique and amazing things, but the moment that that something becomes an everyday thing that people get used to, the quality and the attention it gets decreases rapidly, so in the end we are left with mediocre unpolished garbage. And it becomes even worse when certain trends and political agendas start to infiltrate it. This is what gaming has become.
It is a pretty pesimistic way to look at things. I hate this nostalgia shit. In the past there were good things and bad things, in the presence there are good things and bad things and in the future will be good things and bad things.
Gaming is still fun these days and there are lots of great games still coming out in AAA segments as well as in AA and Indie segment.
@@ysoserious8526 This has nothing to do with nostalgia. Look how many unique and amazing games came out then and look at now. Then we didn't only had unique and polished games but we also had a large variety of them. Today we barely get something unique and amazing, without them following trends like RPG garbage, and without politics and agendas shoved into our faces. Look at the new spiderman 2 for example. And people like you while seeing this dare to say to people who think this way, that they are blinded by nostalgia! Have you seen how many franchises that made unique, polished and amazing games, now make generic half polished stuff without anything unique in them while being filled with microtransactions and agendas. People like you maybe don't care or just play games just to pass your time and thats it. But for people who think like me, its something more than just killing time. For us its the feeling of forgetting all of your real life problems and experiencing the thrill of of a unique story that you can relate or gives you the feeling that you are something cool. The feeling when you "bond" with the character you play and the feeling of relaxation when you are having a blast and all of that. You can call me obsessed for all i care, but that is the overall truth about todays gaming.
@@ysoserious8526True. You are a wise man
@@ysoserious8526 For real. Every day some no-name UA-camr whines about how there aren't any fun games anymore, meanwhile I don't have enough time in my life to get at my Steam backlog, let alone my Switch and PS5 backlogs.
Hell, I've only recently beaten Sekiro, only recently started up Elden Ring for real, I still need to go back to beat Spider-Man 2 but Armored Core 6 has been like crack for me and I keep going back to it just to experiment with new builds. I own a bunch of the Metro games, have only fired up one of them. Sniper Elite 4 and 5 were on sale, copped them, they look like fun "shoot the baddies from afar and stealth about like a jackass" games. Never finished Assassin's Creed 4, never finished Syndicate but the recent Steam Sale had it for 5 bucks, sure why not. Add it to the pile. Got to play more of the Yakuza games, only ever started Kiwami 1. Got to play through Trails of Cold Steel. Got to go back and finish Xenoblade 3. And that's to say nothing about the really middling stuff that I like despite the myriad flaws they have.
Whenever kids whine about how there's "nothing to play", they're basically telling on themselves to the rest of us that they have a taste more narrow than their own assholes. Sometimes I wish I could be so close-minded about videogames I'd at least save some goddamn money lmao.

I live in Russia and Russian is my native language, but when it comes to Assassins Creed, I've been doing original English voice acting for 10 years now, because dubbing speech can't even come close to this charisma. And even though English is not my native language, I feel its sound in games more strongly than Russian. Always an amazing cast and a lot of effort is invested in working on the voice acting.
The Russian dubbing is very expressive and diverse. Not always, of course, but nevertheless, I would say that the dubbing school in Russia is at a high level.
