I heard it is compatible with previous gen ipad pro.
They’ve had to move the charging and connectivity part on the side of the iPad because of the camera and Face ID.
So Apple Pencil 2, is no longer compatible with the Air or the new Pros. So, Apple Pencil 2 is obsolete from this point. Sad really, but allows for uses of older iPads to take advantage of discounts

I mean 5.1/5.3 mm for the new ipad pros........vs 5.5mm for the tab s9 ultra.....not too way off.....i hate the trend of thinness in devices like laptops, but it somewhat makes sense with large devices you hold in your hand, so less material in combination with lighter materials means a lighter device......especially the 11" which is now under 1 pound.
This thing will bend and warp from heat more than ever! Incredible apple good job! Keep making stuff thinner bc that means automatically that it’s better than last design…

They’re debuting new technology here it’s kind of a big deal lmao. The fastest chip ever made for a tablet and the highest performing display ever created for a tablet. This is BIG. If the new pencil pro works on the new M2 ipad air, it is ridiculous for it not to work on the M2 ipad pro.
The only requirement for new pro pencil looks to be IOS 17.5 according to purchase page, so we’ll see after WWDC when they announce new IOS
I think it’s because the magnets are in different places to accommodate for the landscape camera.
It appears that the charging module is different (to accommodate the center front facing camera) which is why the Apple Pencil 2nd generation is not compatible with the M2 iPad Air or M4 iPad Pro. It’s a hardware difference rather than a forced limitation.
Not sure if i will stick in m2 with 2nd gen pencil 😭 to m4

As an M2 iPad Pro user this thing would burn like crazy. A very powerful chip on a super thin body is really not ideal for a “pro” device. My M2 never went to its full potential due to how easy it throttles, the full brightness couldn’t even used for long as thermal throttling would dim your screen. And also, even in an air conditioned room it heats up so much that my case already starts to peel.
They’re most likely using M4 chips not because they want to expand the capability of the iPad but because they have binned M4 chips they have left over from their computers and would rather use them in iPads then to throw them away.

I’m tired of the IPad Mini overlook. I had the 11 inch pro but damaged the screen and got a Mini and enjoyed using it more. The Mini hasn’t been updated since 2021
I know right? Who needs a 13 inch tablet. If you sit on a sofa/lay in bed 11 inch is the upper limit of tolerable. And if they wanna market it as a laptop replacement, they should at least give the MacOS dual boot option. ipadOS is just not cutting it as a laptop.

I can hold the Mini with one hand and take notes with the other it's the perfect notebook / portable media machine. An iPad Mini with this new OLED screen would be my dream tablet.
The mini unfortunately gets overlooked by apple by the years. There was a 4 year gap between the iPad mini 4 and 5.

i know it is funny but everything today is going to A.I net data agregators and they are polishing what they can with it...For example document scaning...Well optimized model can do miracles to readability of text and it can clean image from fragments with 0 efforts.

@@Mahalakshmi-KhaniPad Air is more powerful (basically a downgraded and more affordable version of the Pro) and iPad Mini is less powerful and smaller. iPad Mini is also not compatible with the Magic Keyboard because of the size (both can use Apple Pencil though)
ipad mini has more portability so if ya don't need your ipad for work or school and maybe just want somewhere to watch idk movies or smth you can get the mini

@@bovineox1111 Exactly how are you gonna use that M4 chip? I can't think of a single task suitable for iPadOS that would actually use that chip to its full potential. You won't need half that processing power for the heaviest tasks you're going to do with an iPad.

I think the iPad mini is more likely to be a fall update with the new A series chip upgrade as the mini isn’t using the M series of chips. So maybe we’ll see it in September or October

I know it's such a small detail but I love the front facing camera being moved to landscape like the MacBook's... I love my iPad Air but I refuse to take video calls on it because in landscape I look like I'm looking away from people when looking at them, I love when Apple focuses on tiny little quality of use upgrades, it really makes a big difference

pro line up has been a game changer for me in Logic Pro Ipad, Final Cut Ipad and Procreate. Working on the Ipad with the Apple pencil makes work fun and intuitive. I will trade in my Ipad Pro M2, just for the squeeze function on the new Apple Pencil, it will save me so much time, and time is money.

The surface pro stylus doesn’t have nearly as many features as the Apple Pencil come on idiot.
There are dozens of third party options for the iPad that work well as Apple pencils for note taking that cost far less than 33 dollars.
I use my ipad 9 everyday, it works fine....why upgrade..

This is totally incorrect. I have a 2018 iPad Pro with the old Magic Keyboard. I use it MORE than the MacBook, as its easier to use with touch screen, native apps that make it easier to use, and its generally more user friendly as a interface. I dont want a OS like the MacBook, as it’s more clunky. It also allows for access to files since about 2018 just like the mac.

This iPad with the keyboard costs about the same as a MacBook! And it is not difficult to add a touchscreen on the MacBook and make it possible to flip the screen on the back, a lot of manufactures did it years ago! But, I guess, Apple just manipulating their users making them to buy separately MacBook and iPad when it is possible do all this stuff on one device. I mean Apple think not about their users but about how to get as much money as possible from their clients.

Also when writing, both hands on the keyboard, then you want to change lines / scroll or something.. Instead of grabbing the mouse, moving the cursor to wherever place you want... You just give a quick tap on the screen!
These are only two use cases I use all the time. Apple only do what's best for them. They want you to buy as many devices as possible. Not only an iPad or a macbook, buy both!
Got a ideapad flex 5, thing is amazing. And cheaper than a iPad. 2 devices in 1 and still cheaper.

Bass is not the same as volume and decibels are a logarithmic scale, the double of the volume at 80db would be at 90dB.
