Range Rover Sport Suncore Industries Air Suspension to Coil Spring Conversion Review

- Had the Air to Coil Conversion done on the 2008 Range Rover Sport HSE and it is great! Highly reccommend if you are looking to save yourself from dealing with air suspension headaches/repair costs.
This is a NON-Bypass module kit so the faults/warnings will still be there after conversion.

Welcome to the club i converted my lr3 2 months ago and it has been blissful ever since...💪🏿
Do you notice a lot of vehicle sway at high speeds ? I did mine and it’s sketch to drive now
@@lukericchetti3193 a little bit more sway but, not enough to be dangerous I don't think. Unless you're cornering super hard. I take mine about 100mph on the toll way even on windy days and they're fine. Not lifted at all though
Thanks for the video! I just installed those same coils on my 2006 RRS and they are great.
Nice! Enjoy the relief 👍😂
Definitely I will do that in my land rover too air suspension is a headache it's to take headache away $$$$$
@@juliocast4007 Agreed!
I love Land Rovers, but I do want to do want to do a few swaps. Suspension, engine, electronics, well... everything but the body. I just want a really dumbed down Rover.
I will say, anything before 1999 was as simple as you could get. Especially the 1st gen Discovery, only thing electric about it would be the head lights and radio 😂. It is the least troublesome land rover for me so far between the 3
Nice I did mine too
I'm shopping for a L322 RR and think I might do this conversion right away. I don't care about an air suspension and it was nothing but trouble on our Escalade. Thanx for the info!
For sure! Yes it's just a matter of time for air suspensions to have malfunctions, the less electronics the better...when it comes to suspension anyways 👍
I just had it done on my LR3. You *will* have to replace all of the air struts at some point. That alone will cost you more than double for what you'd pay with an air-to-coil conversion.
Thanks for the Vid. Looking to do this on my wifes
It will definitely grant some relief in terms of potential breakdowns, one less major thing to worry about 👍
just got mine today from Suncore, excited to have my LR3 on the road again, for 600 bucks I hope its not too good to be true
Let me know how it goes! I honestly find mine to be just fine for paved roads and even most dirt roads. Haven't done any offroading with it yet, only on the Disco 1!
Try pulling the fuse 57 for air suspension see what that does
Hi I I need to buy the conversation for my L320 but I don't have delivery to Italy?
Question how it's feel when you driving it with out air suspension
@@juliocast4007 feels fine! You can feel bumps a little bit more but that's it
How are they doing now? My air suspension has been nothing but problems since I bought mine and I'm over it, mine started to lean on the passenger side ended up being passenger front air shock so i changed out both fronts, issue was fixed for about 3 months then the front air block started to leak and overnight the front would be on the bump stops so i replaced that now the rear end is sagging so much it has the "carolina squat" stance and i get the "suspension overheating" warning on the dash so im just switching to springs because its not worth all the headache anymore. I love everything else about my RRS besides the air suspension
Totally understand that man! They're honestly just fine, nothing to rave about other than not having to worry about them. Suspension isn't something I should have to worry about anyway. I've heard better ride quality in the Atlantic British coil conversions but Suncore Industries has been fine
im looking to change mine to and they say there are some kits that you can get that come with a cable that sends and ok signal to the range rover so the suspension signals stop popping up in the computer hope i can find them
Yes! Atlantic British sells these 👍
did suncore close up? The website isn't accessible.
It was probably just down temporarily, it's working now! 👍
👍
Did the messages stop on their own?
They stopped for a bit, but then they came back :( I think it still has to do with that faulty ride height sensor. When it's really cold it won't come on but it occasionally comes back. Contemplating between the re-flash kit or just replacing the ride height sensor. Our LR3 only gets the one suspension fault after starting and then never acts up while driving and it doesn't have the re-flash kit
Do the warnings cause any drivablility issues like limp mode or reduced speed?
Not at all, the warning that goes off every 30 seconds says 30mph max speed but it doesn't actually limit the vehicle to that. No limp mode
@@EnterTheRover so the warning goes off every 30 seconds? doesn't that annoy you?
@@gtrkillrbkilled637 yes it does 😂 but my music is typically louder than it anyways and it doesn't come on as frequently recently for whatever reason. However it does deter me from wanting to have passengers since it would interrupt conversations. I'll most likely get the re-flash tool soon 👍
Hallo does your car have ACE? i wanted to buy it but it is for Land rover without ACE
Hi! No it did not have ACE
@@EnterTheRover thank you you for your quick answer, in europe all l320 have ACE do you think i could still install coil springs what could possible get wrong seriously im sick off my airsystem
I hear ya! I think people have installed Atlantic British's coil conversion without ACE and had no issues, but it would be worth reaching out to Atlantic British to see if you need to do anything specific 👍
@@EnterTheRover ok thanks i will ask
No problem, let me know what they say! I hope it works out for you 👍
Rides like new. BUT they squeak 😳🤭
I've paid close attention to mine because that would be pretty annoying. For the RRS I haven't noticed any, for the LR3 however there is a bit, I wonder if it has to do with the age of the parts?
