I have done the same with the Dunlop kit from UK, rides great, no regrets, much smoother than air suspension by the way. And if you want to move forward you can install incredible shocks and springs and make the car ride even better, much sportier and at the same time soft. Congrats with the right choice!!
Hi there, I have done the same on my 2009 sport uk the Dunlop ones, but for some reason the back of my car it's much lower than the front, any idea why?? Thanks 👍
@@anestishehi3571 Yes, i know for sure. Install 1 inch (3 cm) inserts on top of the back spring tops and you'll be fine. Sorry, i dont know the right word for that insert (the one that sometimes people use to lift the car)
@viryaspace thank you very much, I think they called them spring coil spacers, but I was not sure if I have to go through with them or not, thank you 😊
You just saved me $1,000. I was looking at the Atlantic British kit and the only difference that I can see between these two kits are that electronic disabling system. Thanks for the video my friend I owe you a beer 🤘🏿
I own a 2008 Discovery 3 SE V8 with air suspension and terrain response. I have to say I wouldn't never remove the air suspension because it takes away from the Rover. I have 100K + on her and still going. My opinion, of course, enjoy your RRS! Cheers 🍻 🇺🇸
I agree it does take away, but with this particular one and it's mileage and other issues this makes for a cost effective way to keep it on the road in my opinion. I have a different rrs with less miles and the air suspension definitely is handy and it's more capable with it still installed for sure!
Probably you haven't stuck in the middle of the winter/summer road with the small child back in the car due to air susp failure and impossibility to move... That might change your opinion
I like being able to raise the suspension to clear things but mainly I just think it's fun to raise the car up and down at stoplights 😅, but I'll make that trade too when my current rrs suspension gives me trouble
Thanks @HangarGaraj. My conversion went well; nice ride. Lost special programs but kept HI/LO and DESCENT function. At 3:39 you note that power steering becomes heavier after pulling fuses. I also am experiencing that. Any fixes or forums that you can recommend to bring full power steering function back? Thanks.
Glad to hear the conversion went well! Unfortunately I never found a way to bring the power steering back to normal but I'll admit I didn't try very hard to find a solution as the heavy steering didn't bother me, but hopefully you're able to find something!
I've had this kit for a few months, and I just put on 30mm spacers and 275/65 R18's on (32'S), which to be honest is probably too big with this kit, getting some annoying rubbing just turning hard, I should have got the 285/60 R18, they come out to about 31.5 inches, i think the tread on my wranglers is so rugged its hitting
Thank you for your commentary. I am entertaining the thought of getting rid of my airbags. The rarest keep on lowering I only have 75,000 miles on my 07 and I think that the previous owner already had the air suspension worked on. It's just one less thing, I would like to worry about breaking, I've been looking at the ones that are about $1000 and they have the clips or chips. Do you avoid the lights coming on? I deleted it in my Lexus GX 470 in my lights always come on.
As far as the lights and warnings some of mine stayed on until I ended up trading out that 06, but I think it just comes down to personal preference as I don't mind having warnings as long as I know something isn't actually wrong. That being said with this video getting far more traction than I expected I've been able to hear from a lot of people about their own land rovers and I've come to the conclusion that the warning lights you get are dependent on how your suspension failed and what parts you chose to remove and keep. If warning lights are an issue then the more expensive kit is probably the better move, especially with yours being lower mileage it probably deserves it haha.
If I remember correctly I was getting that warning with the air suspension but afterwards I only got the suspension fault warning that doesn't say anything about max speed.
@@HangarGaraj How did you find the solution to fixing that warning fault ? I recently switched mine from air to coil. The lights on the dash indicator stated suspension fault but the other fault was 30mph max. I’m trying to figure out what went wrong after installing these struts

Good evening, I have a question. I'm having problems with my front suspension on the right side. I changed the airbag for a new one and it doesn't look good. I'm thinking of using this same suspension kit that you used. My question is about the lights that come on in the Dash how they can be removed and if you had the same problem… thank you 🙏🏽
With this kit there is no way to remove the light unless you disassemble the Guage cluster and block the light. Some of the more expensive kits come with a box that you can wire in that will disable the light.
Have you tried replacing the valve block inside the front right wheel arch. Take the wheel arch liner out and it's a black box with 3 air lines running to it. Easy to change and they can get blocked if its an older model. You may also have to change BOTH front springs to address the leveling issue as the pressure needs to build up in the right hand hairspring before it transfers to the left hand one. Speaking from experience as I've changed all four of mine and all is good now.
Thanks for this video !! Quick question 🙋 I looked in the website to purchase the kit but I don’t see a set of all 4 springs? Can you point me to the right direction please! 🙏🏽 my rover has been sitting for 2 months since it doesn’t raise anymore ! It’s a 2006 Land Rover lr3!

Hey, so….I just completed the coilover install 🎊🍾 I removed the 3 fuses also. So my question now is….what lights came on , left and stayed on in your case?😀
I can't really say as my air suspension was sitting a little crooked side to side. But it seems to sit level unloaded, and with passengers and weight in the trunk the back sags just a touch.
